Abstract

This research used Research Development (R D) by Borg and Gall that was aimed to: describe validity, describe the responses of teacher, and determine the validity of items, reliability, and level of difficulty of science process skill (KPS) assessment intrument on colloidal system. This assessment instrument was in the form of essay that measures basic KPS of students. The results of expert validation of content suitability, construct, and legibility aspects were 87.00%, 76.00%, and 85.56% respectivelyin high to very high categories. Teachers responses of the content suitability, construct, and legibility aspects were 92.00%, 88.00%, 90.00% invery high categories. Empirical tests showed that the assessment instrument had moderate item validity, very high reliability, and moderate level of difficulty.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research Development (RD) menurut Borg dan Gall yang bertujuan untuk : mendeskiripsikan validitas, mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru, menentukan validitas butir soal, reliabilitas, dan tingkat kesukaran asesmen KPS pada materi sistem koloid. Instrumen asesmen ini berkatagori tes tertulis dalam bentuk essay yang mengukur KPS dasar siswa. Hasil validasi ahli pada aspek kesesuaian isi, aspek konstruk, dan aspek keterbacaan adalah 87,00%, 76,00%, dan 85,56% berkatagori tinggi sampai sangat tinggi dikatan valid. Tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, aspek konstruk, dan aspek keterbacaan adalah 92,00%, 88,00%, 90,00% berkatagori sangat tinggi. Uji empiris menunjukan asesmen memiliki validitas butir soal sedang, reliabilitas sangat tinggi, dan tingkat kesukaran sedang.Kata kunci: instrumen asesmen, keterampilan proses sains, sistem koloid

Abstract

This research was done in SMAN 9 Bandarlampung that aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to improve conceptual understanding on reaction rates topic. Design of this research was the matching only pretest-posttest control group with the IIth grade of XI IPA-5 as experimental class and the IIth grade of XI 6 as control class. The effectiveness of scientific approach was determined by the significant difference of n-gains average between the control and experimental classes and the score of activities. The result showed that n-gain of the control and experimental class was 0.36 and 0.64 respectively. Based on hypotesis testing showed that the different of n-gain was significant. The average of percentage score student activities during learning was 80%. So, it could be conclude that the scientific appoarch effective in improving students conceptual understanding.Telah dilakukan penelitian di SMA Negeri 9 Bandarlampung yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik pada materi laju reaksi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group dengan dua kelas sampel yaitu XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Efektivitas pendekatan saintifik ditentukan berdasarkan perbedaan n-gain rata-rata yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen serta skor aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan n-gain rata-rata kelas kontrol dan eksperimen berturut-turut yaitu 0,36 dan 0,64. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan n-gain rata-rata berbeda secara signifikan. Rata-rata persentase skor aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran yaitu 80%. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa.Kata kunci : laju reaksi, pemahaman konseptual, pendekatan saintifik

Abstract

The quasi experimental research which use non equivalent pretest-posstest control group design was conducted on the 11th grade of IPA5 and IPA6 of SMAN 1 Natar for 2014/2015 academic year. The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of Problem Solving learning model to improve classification and inference skills on acid-base topic. The results showed that the mean of n-Gain of classification skill in experiment and control classes were 0.46 and 0.31, respectively, and the mean of n-Gain of inference skill in experiment and control classes were 0.44 and 0.32, respectively. Based on it, statistically the mean of n-Gain on classification and inference skills in experiment and control classes were different signifation. It can be inferred that problem Solving learning model was effective to improve classification and inference skills on acid-base topic.Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non equivalent pretest-postest control group design telah dilaksanakan di kelas XI IPA5 dan XI IPA6 SMAN 1 Natar Tahun Akademik 2014/2015. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan menyimpulkan pada materi asam basa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengelompokkan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing sebesar 0,46 dan 0,31, serta rerata n-Gain keterampilan menyimpulkan pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol masing-masing sebesar 0,44 dan 0,32. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, secara statistik rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengelompokkan dan menyimpulkan di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol berbeda signifikan. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan menyimpulkan.Kata kunci: keterampilan mengelompokkan, keterampilan menyimpulkan, problem solving.

Abstract

This research using RD method was conducted with the aim to develop an interactive e-book on chemical equilibrium topic based on chemical representation and to describes the characteristics of an interactive e-book, the teachers and studentss responses, the supporting factors and constraints encountered during the research. The characteristics of developed interactive e-book were based on everyday life phenomena and accompanied with an image, animation, or video based chemical representation (macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic). The teacher gave a very good response to the contents suitability and graphically aspect and the students gave a very good responses to the legibility aspects of an interactive e-book which the percentage of them were 98.46%; 98.00%; and 86.63%, respectively.Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif kesetimbangan kimia berbasis representasi kimia dan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik e-book interaktif, tanggapan guru dan siswa, faktor-faktor pendukung, dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini. Karakteristik dari e-book interaktif hasil pengembangan ini berbasis fenomena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan dilengkapi dengan gambar, animasi, atau video yang sudah berbasis representasi kimia (makroskopik, submakroskopik, dan simbolik). Guru telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi dan grafika serta siswa telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek keterbacaan dengan persentase dari masing-masing aspek secara berturut-turut 98,46%; 98,00%; dan 86,63%.Kata kunci: e-book interaktif, kesetimbangan kimia, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop the experimental tool to determine heat of reaction on the constant volume by using research and development design. Functionality test of tool was done to students in Chemical Education University of Lampung and it was obtaind that all aspect of tool in very high criteria. In other hands, limited test of tool was done in SMAN 1 Sumberejo and it was obtaind that teachers and students responses to experimental tool which has been developed in very high criteria. Based on it, the tool in determing a reaction heat on constant volume was said can be used in learning process properly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat praktikum yang digunakan dalam penentuan kalor reaksi pada volume tetap dengan menggunakan desain penelitian research and development. Uji keberfungsian alat dilakukan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia Unila dan uji coba lapangan dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Sumberejo. Hasil uji pada keberfungsian alat, tanggapan guru dan siswa menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria sangat tinggi. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat penentuan kalor reaksi volume tetap layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata kunci: alat praktikum, kalor reaksi, volume tetap

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop student worksheets based on multiple representations on classification of matter; to describe the characteristics of student worksheets based on multiple representations; to describe the teachers and students responses; and to describe constraints that encountered during the research. This research used Research and Development method. The percentage of teachers responses about aspects in content suitability, readability, and construction of developed student worksheets were 92.63%; 94.73%; and 95.23%, respectively with very good criteria. The percentage of students responses about the readability and attractiveness of developed student worksheets were also very good, with the percentage were 84.42% and 84.71%, respectively.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis multipel representasi pada materi klasifikasi materi, mendeskripsikan karakteristik LKS berbasis multipel representasi, tanggapan guru serta siswa, dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Persentase tanggapan guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan konstruksi sebesar 92,63%; 94,73%; dan 95,23% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Persentase tanggapan siswa terhadap keterbacaan dan kemenarikan pada LKS yang dikembangkan juga sangat baik yaitu dengan persentase 84,42% dan 84,71%.Kata kunci: klasifikasi materi, LKS, multipel representasi

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the validity, practicallity, and effectiveness of student worksheets using discovery learning model on topic of Bohrs atomic theory as development product. This research was conducted by using Research and Development (RD) method, until the revision step after preliminary field testing. Student worksheets validation by experts has done by three validators. The preliminary field testing was conducted in the 10th grade of MIA4 at SMA Negeri 1 Kalianda to know the practicality and effectiveness of student worksheets. The result showed that this student worksheets have high validity, practice, and effective.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan lembar kerja siswa dengan model discovery learning pada materi teori atom Bohr yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) sampai pada tahap revisi setelah uji coba terbatas. Validasi oleh ahli terhadap LKS hasil pengembangan dilakukan oleh tiga orang validator. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada siswa kelas X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Kalianda untuk melihat kepraktisan dan keefektifan LKS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas yang tinggi, praktis dan efektif.Kata kunci: discovery learning, LKS, teori atom bohr

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop the simple distillation tool based on household wares. This research used research and development design until main product revision.Based on the validation results, feasibility of distillation tool has a very high category with a percentage of 100% in aspects of accordance aspect with the learning module, educational value, tool durability, the efficiency, and safety for student. The results of teachers` responses to the five aspects were very high category with a percentage of 100%. The results of students` responses to tool durability, the efficiency used of the tools, and safety for student were very high category with a percentage of 100%. Based on this research, the simple tool was valid and feasible to be used in learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat distilasi sederhana berbasis peralatan rumah tangga. Penelitian ini digunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan sampai tahap revisi hasil uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, kelayakan alat distilasi memiliki kategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 100% pada aspek keterkaitan dengan bahan ajar, nilai pendidikan, ketahanan alat, efisiensi penggunaan alat, dan keamanan bagi siswa. Hasil tanggapan guru terhadap kelima aspek tersebut berkategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 100%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap aspek ketahanan alat, efisiensi penggunaan alat, dan keamanan bagi siswa berkategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, alat praktikum hasil pengembangan valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Katakunci:alat distilasi, berbasis peralatan rumah tangga, distilasi sederhana

Abstract

The aimed of this research was to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach on acid base topic to improve planning skill. The population in this research was 166 students from all the IPA of the 11th grade in SMAN 1 Pringsewu for 2014/2015 academic year. This quasi experiment used non equivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design, with the IPA1 and the IPA2 of the 11th grade as the research class, where they were obtained by using purposive sampling. The result showed that the n-Gain average of planning skill in experimental and control class were 0.47 and 0.34, respectively. Based on the hypothesis testing result, it was concluded that learning with scientific approach on acid base topic was effective to improve planning skill.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada materi asam basa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan merencanakan. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 166 siswa dari seluruh kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Metode kuasi eksperimen menggunakan non equivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design, dengan kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 sebagai kelas penelitian, dimana kelas penelitian tersebut diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan merencanakan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing sebesar 0,47 dan 0,34. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan ilmiah pada materi asam basa efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan merencanakan.Kata Kunci: asam basa, keterampilan merencanakan, pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract
