Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model to increase fluency thinking skills of students in reaction rate of chemistry topic. The population of this research was students of the MIA 9th grade of SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung. The samples were the MIA3 and MIA5 9th grade where they were taken by using purposive sampling. The research used quasi experimental method with non equivalent (pretest and postest) control-group design. The results showed that the average n-Gain of fluency thinking skills of student in control class and experimental class were 0.62 and 0.76, respectively. Based on hypothesis testing concluded that guided inquiry learning model was effective to improve fluency thinking skills of students in reaction rate of chemistry topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi laju reaksi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir lancar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI MIA SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan sampel kelas XI MIA3 dan XI MIA5. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent (pretest and postest) control-group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan berpikir lancar pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,62 dan 0,76. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi laju reaksi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir lancar.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir lancar, laju reaksi, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing

Abstract

The research and the development of the acid-base student worksheet based on scientific approach and response of the teachers and students about had been developed. After need analysis and planning, the preliminary study of student worksheet was developed. Then the preliminary field testing was done. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The results showed that suitability aspects of the content, construction, readability, and attractiveness have very high criteria and it was concluded that the student worksheet is very good product.Telah dilakukan penelitian dan pengembangan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) pada materi asam basa berbasis pendekatan ilmiah dan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan. Setelah tahap analisis kebutuhan dan perencanaan, dilakukan uji coba terbatas terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan. Kemudian melakukan uji coba terbatas. Analisis data menggunakan statistika deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan memiliki kriteria sangat tinggi dan dapat disimpulkan produk LKS yang dikembangkan sangat baik. Kata kunci: asam basa, LKS, pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract

The purpose of this research was describe the effectiveness of scientific approach on acid base topic in increasing organizing skill. Scientific approach consists of five steps: observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and communicating. The population in this research was students in the 11th grade science class of SMA Negeri 1 Pringsewu for 2014/2015 academic year. The quasi experiment used Non Equivalent Control Group Design with two classes as sample where they were taken by using purposive sampling. The results showed that n-Gain average of students organizing skill in acid base topic in experiment class was 0,49 and in control class 0,35. It conclude that scientific approach learning in acid base subject matter was effective in increasing students organizing skill.Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada materi asam basa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengorganisasikan. Pendekatan ilmiah terdiri dari lima tahap: mengamati, menanya, mencoba, menalar, dan mengomunikasikan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pringsewu tahun 2014/2015. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen menggunakan Non Equivalent Control Group Design dengan dua kelas sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling.
