Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya komunikasi  dan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal  pengisi suara drama Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Cirebon  dengan  menganalisis dua aspek, yakni pengisi suara sebagai tokoh dan pengisi suara ketika sedang dan akan berkomunikasi dengan sesama rekan sejawat sebelum  tampil dalam  drama radio. Penelitian  menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan  cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Hasil  penelitian yang didapatkan:  semua informan dalam memerankan tokoh drama radio memiliki gaya komunikasi bervariasi atau gabungan dari berbagai macam gaya komunikasi, yakni: dominan, dramatis, kontroversial, animasi, santai, atentif, dan bersahabat.   Komunikasi verbal yang digunakan adalah bahasa Indonesia, Jawa Cirebon, Jawa Tegal, dan Bahasa Sunda. Komunikasi nonverbal berupa jabat tangan, jarak antara pemain, dukungan  lighting, peralatan perekam, dan pencahayaan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the implementation of Gina Luttrell's SOME (Share, Optimize, Manage, Engage) Theory in managing the @pesantrenbima instagram account in social media activities with optimal planning and strategies in order to achieve the desired goals, one of which is building maximum bond with the audience owned by social media platforms, namely utilizing the existence of Instagram as a tool (tool) in achieving its goals. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the object of research on the Instagram account @pesantrenbima. The research subjects are admin, ustad (teacher) at Pesantren Bima, and followers. Research data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are: Share, the Instagram account @pesantrenbima is the right choice for Instagram social media and makes selection and sorting in determining the content to be presented. Optimize, the Instagram account @pesantrenbima has not used the hashtag feature provided by Instagram as a whole but the good thing that has been implemented is the presentation of content in various forms, both photos/images, videos and Instagram stories. Manage, the @pesantrenbima instagram account has properly implemented comments or direct messages from the public that will be responded to, and the Bima Pesantren social media team has carried out monitoring to evaluate the content that has been presented. Engage, the Instagram account @pesantrenbima reaches their target audience by adapting the content they post to their target audience by creating content that is interesting, up-to-date and in clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language making the information to be conveyed easily absorbed by its followers. . Abstract

The purpose of this research describes the planning and implementation of the activities of Aisyiyah Branch Klangenan Cirebon and any factors that influence its activities. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection using observations, interviews, and documentation. The author uses field research, gathering data at the site of the research, while data analysis techniques using explanatory preparation include data collection, data analysis, conclusions and reports. The research informants are the Deputy Chairman of Aisyiyah Klangenan Branch, Tabligh Assembly Speaker, Economic Assemblies Speaker and Education Assembles Speaker for the period 2024-2027. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program-program Aisyiyah Klangenan yang saat ini sedang berjalan merupakan lanjutan dari program-program sebelumnya mengikuti dinamika yang ada disesuikan dengan kebutuhan warga Klangenan dan konsisten dijalankan oleh pengurusnya, untuk membangun akhlakul karimah dengan implementasi program yaitu (1) Majelis Pendidikan: Program Pendidikan Taman Kanak-kanak (Busthanul Athfal) (2) Majelis Ekonomi: Membuat pelatihan aneka kue bolu dan kuliner, koperasi simpan pinjam, arisan sembako, mengikuti lomba gizi untuk anak usia dini yang diselenggarakan oleh Pimpinan Daerah Aisyiyah Cirebon, (2)Majelis Pembinaan Kader: Pengurus Harian Aisyiyah dan anggota serta simpatisan (warga/masyarakat) rutin mendapatkan materi kajian keislamanan terutama yang berbasis fiqhunnissa (fikih untuk wanita) dan pemulasaran jenazah, (3) Majelis Tablig: Memberikan tutorial/pelatihan public speaking dan lomba pidato. This Assembly, in collaboration with the Kader Buildings Assemblies, is always included if there are activities related to framing and tablig (dakwah) organized either at the branch level, branch, district, region, or in the dream of the Muhammadiyah center, (4) the Arts, Culture, and Sports assembly: organizing routine exercises every Sunday morning. Once a month following the sports activities organized by the PDA district of Cirebon. At the specified times, this assembly will take part in any competition related to art, culture, and sports in the territory of III Cirebon.

Abstract

The 2024 Presidential Election entering January 2024 is heating up. All candidates use social media to convey their work programs. The advantages of social media as an agent of political socialization are that it can convey much information, is easily accessible, and guarantees freedom of opinion. Qualitative research methods use literature studies, and data are analyzed. The results showed that TikTok social media was an influential political socialization agent in increasing the political participation of the Indonesian people and became a means of argumentation in discussing Paslon's issues and work programs in the 2024 Presidential Election. This study concludes that TikTok social media can effectively influence political socialization through information selection and digital literacy, especially in responding to various political discourses and issues related to the 2024 Presidential Election.

Abstract

This study aims to examine self-identity management and branding on social media with a focus on WhatsApp status, using the Johari Window four-quadrant theory approach, functioning to express themselves openly, blindly, hidden, and unknowingly. Data were collected through interviews and content analysis of informants' WhatsApp statuses. The informants in this study consisted of four people with different backgrounds: a housewife, a lecturer, a writer, and a lecturer and preacher. The results showed that each informant had a unique way of managing their identity and self-branding through WhatsApp status. The first informant, a housewife, actively shares her activities on social media, including videos of singing with interesting face filters. She shows open and hidden identities, with satirical statuses reflecting the blind self-aspect, while in the open quadrant the expression of happiness reflects positive self-branding. The second informant, a lecturer, posts social and teaching activities, creating an image as an active and accomplished individual. Also statuses related to culinary and vacations show personal well-being, reflecting hidden identities. The third informant, a writer, brands himself as a writing service provider with consistency in posting writing activities. The cursing status shows a blind self, where the negative impact of the reaction may not be realized. The fourth informant, a lecturer and preacher, posts tausiyah and songs, creating an image as a religious individual and a positive influence. This study highlights how each informant uses WhatsApp status to build self-identity and branding, and how aspects of the Johari Window theory can help understand these dynamics. All four informants revealed that they use WhatsApp status to strengthen their self-image and personal branding, by considering the audience who will see the status. In addition, this study found that social interaction and feedback from friends on WhatsApp play an important role in the process of self-identity management. This study contributes to the understanding of how individuals manage their identities in the digital era and the importance of social media in shaping public perceptions of themselves.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi maskulinitas pada tokoh utama pria, Nathan, dalam film remaja Indonesia “Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma” melalui pendekatan semiotika John Fiske dan konsep maskulinitas dari Beynon. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, penelitian ini mengkaji tanda-tanda maskulinitas pada karakter Nathan dalam tiga level analisis Fiske: realitas, representasi, dan ideologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi maskulinitas Nathan dalam film ini merupakan perpaduan antara elemen tradisional dan modern. Pada level realitas, maskulinitas ditampilkan melalui penampilan sehari-hari mahasiswa, perilaku yang menunjukkan keberanian dan ketegasan, serta ekspresi emosi yang beragam. Level representasi dikonstruksi melalui penggunaan pencahayaan kontras, dominasi close up pada wajah tokoh untuk menangkap emosi, dan penambahan musik yang memperkuat suasana dramatis. Pada level ideologi, penelitian menemukan bahwa individualisme menjadi elemen dominan dalam tindakan dan keputusan Nathan.

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of solidarity of housewives in Klangenan Plot Block RT 02 RW 05, Klangenan District, Cirebon Regency through social gathering activities. What are the factors behind the gathering activities of the housewives so that they become a medium of solidarity for their members? This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. The author uses field research (field research), collecting data at the research site. Research findings show that the factors that encourage social gathering activities as a medium of social solidarity are: Social gathering activities to strengthen friendship because it is difficult to meet on weekdays; Perform roles related to rights and obligations; Foster the nature of cooperation and social solidarity; Building trust among fellow arisan members; Building social networks; Forming and strengthening norms; Train its members to organize well; and Managing conflict becomes a constructive solution.

Abstract

 The month of Romadhon is approaching. All Muslims are happy to welcome the month of Romadhon in 2024. Radio, YouTube, newspapers, and various educational institutions have made activities regarding the importance of the month of Ramadhan, including the University of Muhammadiyah Cirebon. On Sunday, Tabligh Akbar Songsong Romadhon was held, which was attended by the entire academic community and their families. The speaker at this event was H Fahmi Salim (Tabligh Council PP Muhammadiyah). Topics raised in this event included the superiority of Muhammadiyah in determining the initial time of fasting, Eid al-Fitr, and other worship times using the Hijri calendar, not the Gregorian calendar based on the sun's orbit. The purpose of the month of Romadhon is for us believers to become pious people.
