Abstract

ABSTRACTSchool organizational culture has an important role in realizing academic and non academic quality standards in schools. School organizational culture born of noble values embodied in a shared vision among all components of the school, an effective school organizational culture grows and develops continuously in the hope of providing characteristics for the development of the character of learners. in general, this study aims to describe the school organizational culture in the character formation of learners in SMA Negeri 1 Kota Lhokseumawe. Through the preparation of school culture formation programs, the implementation of school culture formation programs, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in the establishment of school organizational culture. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach with data collection technique through observation, interview, and documentation study. Research subjects are element of school residents consisting of: principals, vice principals, vice principals, teachers, and learners. The results of the study showed that: (1) the program of establishing a school organizational culture containing religious programs (ROHIS), non-smoking and drug-free school programs, healthy and clean school culture, scouting programs, youth red cross, paskibraka program, PPPK) literacy program, extracurricular program for all subjects, and honesty canteen program; (2) the implementation of the school organizational culture formation program involves all stakeholders, the role and ability of all stakeholders, the results of the implementation of the school organizational culture program, the result (3) the inhibiting factors facing the school lack of faculty yag mastering scouting, male religion, lack of support from some teaching staff, there are parents of learners who are less supportive of school organizational culture values, and the influence of foreign culture and development of science and technology contributes negatively.Keywords: culture, school organization, and student character

Abstract

Abstract: Organizational climate and job satisfaction is one of the factors that affect the performance of the teacher. The level of teacher performance related to organizational climate and job satisfaction of teachers in performing their duties. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational climate on teacher performance, to determine the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance and to determine the effect of organizational climate and job satisfaction on the performance of teachers. The method used in this study are correlational survey, while data collection used questionnaires to variable organizational climate, job satisfaction and performance of teachers in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Lhokseumawe. The sampling technique is stratified random sampling of 51 respondents. The results of this study it can be concluded that the organizational climate is directly significant effect on the level of teacher performance. The amount of direct influence of organizational climate on teacher performance is (0.7401 0.2759) = 55%. Job satisfaction is directly significant effect on the level of teacher performance. The amount of job satisfaction directly influences the performance of teachers is (0.7192 2.759) = 51.73%. Organizational climate and job satisfaction jointly direct and significant impact on the level of teacher performance. The magnitude of the effect of organizational climate and job satisfaction together with the teacher's performance in school is (0.7994 0.2759) = 63.9% theoretical The model developed in this study turned out to have been tested empirically on a junior secondary school in Lhokseumawe at significant level, meaning an empirical model of organizational climate and job satisfaction can be received as a model teacher performance.Keywords: Organizational Climate, Job Satisfaction and Teacher Performance.Abstrak: Iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengruhi kinerja guru. Tinggi rendahnya kinerja guru berhubungan dengan iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja guru dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja guru, untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei korelasional, sedangkan pengumpulan datanya dipergunakan kuisioner terhadap variabel iklim organisasi, kepuasan kerja dan kinerja guru di madrasah tsanawiyah se Kota Lhokseumawe. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah stratifietrandom sampling terhadap 51 responden. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa iklim organisasi secara langsung berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tinggi rendahnya kinerja guru. Besarnya pengaruh iklim organisasi secara langsung terhadap kinerja guru adalah (0,7401 0,2759) = 55 %.Kepuasan kerja secara langsung berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tinggi rendahnya kinerja guru. Besarnya pengaruh kepuasan kerja secara langsung terhadap kinerja guru adalah (0,7192 2,759) = 51,73%.Iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja secara bersama-sama berpengaruh secara langsung dan signifikan terhadap tinggi rendahnya kinerja guru. Besarnya pengaruh iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja secara bersama-sama dengan kinerja guru di sekolah adalah (0,7994 0,2759) = 63,9%.Model teoritik yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini ternyata telah teruji secara empiris pada Madrasah Tsanawiyah di Kota Lhokseumawe pada taraf signifikan, berarti model empiris iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja dapat terima sebagai model kinerja guru.Kata Kunci:Iklim Organisasi, Kepuasan Kerja dan Kinerja Guru

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation in improving the quality of education. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive method. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. Subjects in this study is the principal, vice principal, teachers, and chairman committee of MTsN Grong Grong Pidie district. The results of this study indicate that: (1) planning program based on the vision, mission, and goals of the school. The work program drawn up by each component of the school by revising the annual work program and verified by the school principal. Substance leads to improving the quality of education but does not specify the target results in detail. (2) The implementation of each component of the program is managed by the school, by setting up implementation guidelines such as documents written educational unit level curriculum, organizational structure, job descriptions of teachers and education personnel, academic regulations, and school rules.. (3) Evaluation of the program is more focused on the academic program of the effectiveness and efficiency of learning and teacher performance, carry out self evaluation of schools and school accreditation. The results of the evaluation made a report consisting of technical and financial reports to The Head Office of District Religious Ministry.Keywords: School Based Management and Quality of Education

Abstract

Abstract: This study will talk about how the curriculum management based School Based Curriculum (SBC) may be walking in vocational schools have a curriculum that is more complex than the other high school. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. This study took place in Public Vocational High School I Sabang which is the only vocational school in Sabang. Although it can be run, after evaluation of the implementation of curriculum management SBC apparently having some problems in the absence of which Congress Subject Teacher (CST) forum to expand the horizons of teachers, lack of media practices and tools, and limited the location of industry practices and qualifications of teachers are not qualified.Keywords: Curriculum, Management and Learning.Abstrak: Studi ini akan berbicara mengenai bagaimana manajemen kurikulum yang berbasis KTSP dapat berjalan di sekolah kejuruan yang memiliki kurikulum lebih kompleks dibandingkan sekolah menengah atas lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengambil lokasi di SMKN I Sabang yang merupakan satu-satunya sekolah kejuruan di Sabang. Meskipun dapat berjalan, setelah melalui evaluasi ternyata pelaksanaan manajemen kurikulum KTSP mengalami beberapa kendala di antaranya ketiadaan forum MGMP untuk memperluas wawasan guru, kekurangan media dan alat praktik, serta terbatasnya lokasi prakerin dan kualifikasi guru yang belum mumpuni.Kata Kunci : Manajemen, Kurikulum, dan pembelajaran

Abstract

School supervisors play an active role in realizing the transformation of education quality in their target schools. Managerial supervision by school supervisors is organized to provide services to school administrators so that they can perform their duties effectively and efficiently to achieve learning process quality. In general, this study aimed to describe the implementation of managerial supervision in improving the quality of education at Model Elementary School 3 (SDN 3) of Peusangan, Bireuen regency through the program, implementation of managerial supervision, and constraints experienced by school supervisors in implementing managerial supervision. This research used the descriptive method with the qualitative approach and data collection techniques done for this study were observation, interview, and documentation study. The research subjects are school management personnel consisting of the principal, teachers, administrative staff, librarians, and computer laboratory staff. The results of the study showed that (1) the managerial supervision program includes the guidance activities of teachers and principals, monitoring the implementation of SNP, assessment of teacher performance and principal, as well as mentoring and training of teachers and principal; (2) The success of the managerial supervision process lied in the school supervisors who were able to coordinate and establish cooperative relationships with every well-managed school manager so as to have an impact on improving the quality of education in schools; and (3) the obstacles faced by school supervisors were that they had limited knowledge of the competence of managerial supervision, the school management staff did not meet the required standard requirement both in quantity and skill quality, and supervision schedule which often clashing with official meetings, training and other official activities.Keywords: managerial supervision, school supervisor, and education quality

Abstract

Abstract: The school management can mean everything pertaining to the management of the educational process to achieve the stated goals, both short-term goals, medium, or panjang.Tujuan term goal of this research was to determine the school management to improve the quality of education, to include: (1) Planning school programs; (2) The implementation of school programs and (3) Barriers faced. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, techniques of data collection is done through interview, observation guidelines, and documentation. Subjects were principals, supervisors and teachers in primary schools Boarding School Jar Pidie district. Research results found: (1) planning school programs include: teaching programs, including: the need of teachers sharing teaching duties, procurement of textbooks, teaching tools and props, procurement or development of school laboratories, procurement or development of school libraries, system of assessment of learning outcomes, and curricular activities; (2) The implementation of school programs that the strategy adopted to achieve the improvement of the quality of education, include: socialization program, SWOT analysis, problem solving, quality improvement, and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of school programs; and (3) Barriers in planning school programs, among others, lack of community participation and economic difficulties so that their support for the management of low participating schools. It is expected that supervisors in order to direct and supervise principals in improving the quality of education on school program planning, program implementation and obstacles faced by appropriate, effective and efficient so that the quality of education in the schools can be improved.Keywords: Quality Management and the School of EducationAbstrak: Manajemen sekolah dapat diartikan segala sesuatu yang berkenaan dengan pengelolaan proses pendidikan untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan, baik tujuan jangka pendek, menengah, maupun tujuan jangka panjang.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, dengan meliputi: (1) Perencanaan program sekolah; (2) Pelaksanaan program sekolah dan (3) Hambatan yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pedoman wawancara, pedoman observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, pengawas dan guru pada SD Negeri Dayah Guci Kabupaten Pidie. Hasil penelitiannya ditemukan: (1) Perencanaan program sekolah mencakup: program pengajaran, meliputi: kebutuhan tenaga guru pembagian tugas mengajar, pengadaan buku-buku pelajaran, alat-alat pelajaran dan alat peraga, pengadaan atau pengembangan laboratorium sekolah, pengadaan atau pengembangan perpustakaan sekolah, sistem penilaian hasil belajar, dan kegiatan kurikuler; (2) Pelaksanaan program sekolah yaitu strategi yang diterapkan untuk tercapainya peningkatan mutu pendidikan, meliputi: sosialisasi program, analisis SWOT, pemecahan masalah, peningkatan mutu, dan pemantauan dan evaluasi pelaksanaan program sekolah; dan (3) Hambatan dalam perencanaan program sekolah, antara lain kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat dan kesulitan ekonominya sehingga dukungan mereka terhadap manajemen sekolah ikut rendah. Diharapkan kepada pengawas agar dapat mengarahkan dan mengawasi kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan tentang perencanaan program sekolah, pelaksanaan program dan hambatan yang dihadapinya secara tepat guna, efektif dan efesien sehingga mutu pendidikan di sekolah tersebut dapat ditingkatkan.Kata Kunci: Manajemen Sekolah dan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

Abstract: Strategies of principal is an important factor in determining the success of the improvement of school quality. This study aimed to describe the strategies of principal from the planning, implementation, supervision, and obstacles in improving education quality. To achieve the goal, this study used qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data collection through observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis procedure were data reduction, data display, and data verification. Subjects of this study were principal, vice principal, and teachers. The results of the study showed that (1) The strategies of principal in improving learning effectiveness conducted by teachers with the suggestion that teachers’ discipline should be improved and teachers should prepare lesson plan, (2) The strategies of principal in improving teacher potential by conducting various trainings and technical guidance, and teacher have to equip themselves with quality reading, (3) There was no obstacle in the condition of school staff/personnel and teachers but there were obstacles in facility and infrastructure especially the classrooms condition which were inadequate, the school did not have multipurpose building, and the school environment condition was plagued by inconvenient vehicles and public transportations. Keywords: Strategies of Principal and Education Quality. Abstrak: : Strategi kepala madrasah merupakan faktor yang penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan peningkatan mutu dimadrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendesripsikan strategi kepala madrasah dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan hambatan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Observasi, Wawancara dan Studi Dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data adalah Reduksi Data, Penyayian Data, dan Verifikasi. Sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Madrasah, Wakil Kepala Madrasah, dan Guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan guru dengan anjuran kedisiplinan guru harus ditingkatkan serta perangkat pembelajaran harus di miliki oleh setiap guru (2) Strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan potensi guru dengan melakukan berbagai pelatihan dan bimtek serta guru membekali diri dengan bacaan yang bermutu (3) Kendala yang dihadapi kepala madrasah dalam implementasi strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan tidak memiliki kendala bila dilihat dari kondisi staf/karyawan madrasah, kondisi guru di madrasah tetapi masih terkendala dengan sarana dan prasana terutama ruang kelas yang belum memadai serta gedung serbaguna yang belum ada sama sekali, sedangkan kondisi lingkungan madrasah terkendala dengan ketidak nyamanan kendaraan dan sarana transportasi pemerintah.Kata kunci : Strategi Kepala Madrasah, dan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

The library is one of the means providing various collections of information in fulfilling and supporting the success of education quality. The quality of the library can be seen from the librarian’s management in managing the library. The purpose of this research waswas to know the planning and procurement of library collections, classification, and catalog of library collections, library system for visitor service, monitoring and evaluation of library activities program. The approach used in this study waswas a qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data was done through observation and interview. The subjects of research were the head of regional office of library and ten librarians. The results of the study indicated that: (1) the planning waswas done based on the needs of visitors, and the collection procurement system waswas done based on the analysis of visitor needs which was then conducted through routine project, purchasing, assistance, and publisher cooperation through APBK (regional revenue and expenditure budget); (2) the classification system for library collection was done in accordance with guidelines DDC (dewey decimal classification); (3) the service system used an open service system (open access). The open access does not run smoothly due to the limited space, where the reading room of children, adolescents, general, storytelling space and reference space are situated in one place; (4) supervision was carried out in every activity program while the evaluation was done at the end of the year. The supervision and assessment did not find the optimal result because it was not implemented based on the indicators made. Depending on the results of the study, it is recommended that the head of the library involve librarians in managing library management and pay attention to improving facilities and infrastructure so that the purpose and function of the library will work well.Keyword: management, librarian and library

Abstract

Abstract: Evaluation of curriculum is important to know the achievements of the program implemented, implementation, monitoring and supporting the implementation of SBC factors. This study aimed to describe the data on the evaluation of the implementation of curriculum in 67 public primary schools in Banda Aceh. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation as well as filling a questionnaire study. Data analysis techniques such as data reduction, data display and conclusion. Subjects in this study were principals, vice-principals, and teachers. the conclusion is: (1) Content Document 1 curriculum according to the guidelines but still lacking an explanation of life skills education, education-based local and global. Syllabus and RPP was adopted from examples issued by the National Education Standards, but most of the teachers have been adapted according to the conditions of the school. Syllabus and RPP are still weak in terms of withdrawal indicators and assessment as well as low-grade lesson plan is not thematic. (2) Implementation of SBC Document 1 is in accordance with the plan, but in self-development activities there is little difference for not conducting counseling. Implementation has not been fully based learning lesson plans. Low-grade teacher is not using a thematic approach. Teachers in core activities already conducting exploration activities, elaboration and confirmation as well as carry out the grip so that the students active and creative, but there is still a small proportion of teachers who have not been able to do well. Teachers already use a variety of media and learning resources, but there is still a small fraction of teachers who have not used it. Teachers at the preliminary event does not convey the purpose, benefits, coverage of materials and learning strategies, and the cover does not carry out the activities of reflection. Teachers in implementing learning assessment still shortcomings, such as is found to be less variability assessment technique, lack of due indicators to the basic competencies and the assessment techniques used and the results of the assessment has not been used as a follow-up plan. (3) Supervisors and principals have oversight of curriculum through supervision activities are done once a year. (4) The availability of a complete infrastructure, support parents, and principals, high student motivation, and cooperation among teachers is supportive of curriculum implementation and the weak ability of teachers in planning thematic lesson plans, thematic application and design instructional materials and assessment , is a barrier in the application of the SBC.Keywords: Evaluation, Implementation, Curriculum Education UnitAbstrak: Evaluasi KTSP penting dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui capaian program, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan faktor pendukung penerapan KTSP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan data tentang evaluasi penerapan KTSP pada SD Negeri 67 Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru. kesimpulannya adalah: (1) Isi Dokumen 1 KTSP sesuai panduan namun masih kurang penjelasan tentang pendidikan kecakapan hidup, pendidikan berbasis lokal dan global. Silabus dan RPP diadopsi dari contoh yang dikeluarkan oleh BSNP, namun sebagian besar guru sudah mengadaptasi sesuai dengan kondisi sekolahnya. Silabus dan RPP masih lemah dalam hal penarikan indikator dan penilaian sertaRPP kelas rendah belum tematik. (2) Pelaksanaan KTSP Dokumen 1 sudah sesuai dengan perencanaan. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya berdasarkan RPP. Guru kelas rendah belum menggunakan pendekatan tematik. Guru pada kegiatan inti sudah melaksanakan kegiatan eksplorasi, elaborasi dan konfirmasi serta melaksanakan pakem sehingga siswa aktif dan kreatif namun masih ada sebagian kecil guru yang belum dapat melakukannya dengan baik. Guru sudah menggunakan berbagai media dan sumber belajar, namun masih ada sebagian kecil guru yang belum menggunakannya. Guru pada kegiatan pendahuluan tidak menyampaikan tujuan, manfaat, cakupan materi dan strategi belajar, dan pada kegiatan penutup tidak melaksanakan refleksi. Guru dalam melaksanakan penilaian pembelajaran masih terdapat kelemahan-kelemahan, seperti masih ditemukan kurang bervariasinya tehnik penilaian, kurang sesuainya indikator dengan kompetensi dasar dan dengan tehnik penilaian yang digunakan serta hasil penilaian belum dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan menyusun rencana tindak lanjut. (3) Pengawas dan kepala sekolah telah melakukan pengawasan KTSP melalui kegiatan supervisi yang dilakukan setahun sekali. (4) Tersedianya sarana prasarana yang lengkap, dukungan orang tua, dan kepala sekolah, motivasi siswa yang tinggi, serta kerjasama antar guru menjadi faktor pendukung penerapan KTSP dan masih lemahnya kemampuan guru dalam hal perencanaan RPP tematik, penerapan tematik dan perancangan bahan ajar serta penilaian, menjadi faktor penghambat penerapan KTSP.Kata Kunci: Evaluasi, Implementasi, Kurikulum Satuan Pendidikan

Abstract

Performance is the result of employees. Performance has to do with ability and motivation. This study aims to determine the performance of school administration through the implementation of fingerprint attendance at SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. To achieve this goal, this research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Research subjects are principal, head of administration and school administration staff. The results showed that: The performance of school administration staff at SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh is good and professional. The Effort to improving their professionalism are: (1) training and socialization; (2) learn independently. The effort of the principal to improve professional school administration staff that principal gives chance for them on training and socialization and also coaching, and supervising. The factors affect of performance and professionalism of school administration staff are: a) Motivation. b) Leadership. c) Infrastructure facilities. d) Working climate. The application of finger print has been good in discipline and through the implementation of this application, the performance of school administration staff developed with quantity, quality and productivity of work.Keywords: Performance of school administration staff, and Implementation of Fingerprint
