Abstract

Perum Peruri merupakan Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) yang dipercaya oleh Pemerintah Republik Indonesia untuk mencetak uang kertas dan uang logam rupiah. Dalam proses produksinya, ketika akan melakukan proses set-up atau pergantian pecahan uang rupiah, terdapat suatu masalah pada mesin Koenig & Bauer (KBA) yang mengakibatkan proses set-up memakan waktu yang lama. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya breakdown time hingga 141 menit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi waktu set-up pada mesin tersebut dengan merancang instruksi kerja dan alat bantu berdasarkan process reengineering. Sebelum menerapkan process reengineering, penelitian ini diawali dengan mengidentifikasi kondisi awal pada proses set-up, yaitu meliputi fasilitas, sumber daya manusia (SDM), metode, dan lingkungan. Selanjutnya dilakukan process reengineering melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu rethink, redesign, dan retool. Berdasarkan penerapan process reengineering tersebut, perlu dirancang dan diusulkan perbaikan instruksi kerja dan pembuatan alat bantu dalam melakukan set-up. Hasil akhir dari penerapan process reengineering ini, durasi proses set-up terjadi penurunan dari 141 menit menjadi 52 menit.

Abstract

Abstract The development of the industry is so fast in the current conditions. This has resulted in increasingly fierce competition in all industrial sectors, including MSMEs. KMStoreid UMKM is a small-scale business that is engaged in convection and produces various types of clothing. In the production process, products that do not meet standards or defects are often found. This research is aimed at controlling the quality of the pants production process in KMStoreid UMKM. The Statistical Process Control (SPC) method was used in this study to achieve this goal. From the results of data processing, it can be seen that the highest defect is the stitching is not neat with 51.8%. The results obtained in this study can be seen that there are still data that are outside the control limits. From this it can be seen that the quality control carried out by KMStoreid SMEs is not optimal. Based on the analysis using a fishbone diagram, it can be seen that the cause of the majority of defects is from human factors. The proposals given in this study are in the form of procurement of SOPs that regulate product quality standards, work systems, and quality control. In addition, there is socialization to workers to increase understanding related to quality control to keep production results in good condition.Keywords: Quality control, Industry, Product, SPC, MSME. AbstrakPerkembangan industri begitu pesat pada kondisi saat ini. Hal ini mengakibatkan persaingan semakin ketat pada semua sektor industri termasuk UMKM. UMKM KMStoreid merupakan usaha berskala kecil yang bergerak pada bidang konveksi dan memproduksi berbagai jenis pakaian. Dalam proses produksinya, hasil produk masih ada yang tidak sesuai dengan standar atau juga dikatakan cacat. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melakukan pengendalian kualitas pada proses produksi celana di UMKM KMStoreid. Metode Statistical Process Control (SPC) digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Dari hasil pengolahan data dapat diketahui cacat tertinggi yaitu jahitan kurang rapi dengan 51,8%. Masih ada data yang berada diluar batas kendali menjadi salah satu hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini. Dari hal itu dapat diketahui bahwa pengendalian kualitas yang dilakukan UMKM KMStoreid belum optimal. Berdasarkan analisis menggunakan diagram fishbone dapat diketahui bahwa penyebab terjadinya cacat mayoritas dari faktor manusia. Usulan yang diberikan pada penelitian ini berupa pengadaan SOP yang mengatur standar kualitas produk, sistem kerja, dan pengendalian kualitasnya. Selain itu adanya sosialisasi pada para pekerja untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terkait pengendalian kualitas untuk menjaga hasil produksi tetap pada kondisi yang baik. Kata Kunci: Pengendalian kualitas, Industri, Produk, SPC, UMKM

Abstract

Since January 2020 Indonesia is affected by the pandemic of Covid-19. Immunization is the quite possibly the best endeavors to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic, which is as yet on going Currently the number of people who come for vaccination is increasing. However, there are several sub-districts that have relatively far distances from the vaccination sites determined by the government, so it is necessary to group several sub-districts into several clusters, with the aim of forming additional vaccination points by dividing the area into several locations so that they are easily accessible by the entire community of Karawang district. The examination was led utilizing an unmistakable quantitative technique with the wellspring of the information utilized in this investigation obtained from website : Covid-19 task force in the Karawang area. The information utilized in this investigation is information on June 18, 2021 which comprises of 30 locale. The technique utilized is the K-Means Clustering strategy which is prepared utilizing the SPSS 23 programming and accepts that the interest for each sub-locale is drawn closer with a positive number of Covid-19 in that sub-area. The consequences of the examination show that the sub-areas in cluster1 have 1-sub-locale, in group 2 there are 9 sub-regions and in bunch 3 there are 11 sub-regions. Negara Kepulauan Republik Indonesia terdampak pandemi Covid-19 sejak Januari 2020. Vaksinasi adalah salah satu solusi terbaik saat ini untuk melindungi dari pandemi Covid-19. Saat ini jumlah masyarakat yang datang untuk vaksinasi semakin meningkat. Namun terdapat beberapa kecamatan yang memiliki jarak relatif jauh dari tempat vaksinasi yang ditentukan oleh pemerintah, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengelompokkan beberapa kecamatan menjadi beberapa cluster, dengan tujuan membentuk tambahan titik vaksinasi dengan cara membagi wilayah menjadi beberapa lokasi agar mudah dijangkau oleh seluruh masyarakat kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan cara pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil  dari website. Website yang digunakan bersumber dari website milik Satgas Covid19 Kabupaten Karawang. Dalam survei ini data yang diambil  merupakan data per 18 Juni 2021 dan mencakup 30 kabupaten. Metode K – Means Clustering diolah dengan menggunakan software SPSS 23, dengan asumsi permintaan setiap kecamatan diperkirakan dari angka positif Covid 19 untuk kecamatan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan di antaranya cluster 1 beranggotakan 10 kecamatan, cluster 2 terdiri atas 9 kecamatan dan cluster 3 mempunyai anggota 11 kecamatan.

Abstract

The tight competition in the industry at this time makes every company must improve the quality of each product. To optimize the production process, waste becomes the main inhibiting factor that can reduce the company's image. PT Jaya Prakarsa is a packaging company which is currently facing the problem of the emergence of waste in each of its production processes for the final product which is called Imprabox. This study aims to reduce waste in the Imprabox production process using the lean six sigma method with the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control (DMAIC) stages and Monte Carlo simulation. The results of the define stage show that the defect waste becomes critical waste with a value of 42.3%. At the measure stage, the results from the p control chart show that the existing quality is still not fully controlled. The sigma level for the average process from February to March 2022 is 2.63 and the Process capability index (Cpk) value is 0.1532. This Cpk value is still less than 1.31,  indicates that the company lacks production process capability. The cause and effect of the emergence of defects are then analyzed using a fishbone diagram at the analyze stage which will be repaired using 5W + 1H at the improve stage. Based on the results of the MC simulation with three successful scenarios of quality improvement of 50%, 75% and 100%, it shows that there is an increase in the processing capability for the company by 403.9%, 425.5%, and 426.9%, respectively.

Abstract

Operation Timbang (OPT) Plus is one of the Philippines’ programs that focuses on nutrition by conducting an annual assessment for 0-59 months old children in barangays to identify the malnutrition data in the area. The barangay is the smallest administrative entity in the Philippines. OPT is a plan of action that estimates the number of malnutrition individuals and identifies those who will get prioritized programs in the community. The Iloilo City Health Office conducted the program in seven districts in the Philippines. The office planned to establish a community centre and playground facility based on the priority/demand areas. Maximum Covering Location Problem (MCLP) is used for this study to determine the optimal location that covers the area. A Mathematical Programming Language (AMPL) is used to apply mathematical programming to the MCLP. The results can be used to identify the optimal facility and the maximum coverage of the demand points. The experiment showed that the facility located in Mandurriao District is the optimal facility location. For Underweight/Severely Underweight children, a maximum total of 646 are covered, and for the Overweight/Obese, 1,041 are covered for the chosen facility. In addition, the findings of the sensitivity analysis indicate that the building of the three facilities in the case study can offer 100 percent of the required coverage area.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health is an important factor in the smooth running of production so that the program must be implemented in the company. Work accidents can occur due to unsafe working conditions or due to human error. The purpose of this research is to reduce work accidents by considering the human error that occurs in the company. To solve this problem, the SHERPA and HEART methods are used. The SHERPA method is used to predict errors and analyze potential solutions qualitatively, while the HEART method is used to calculate the probability level of a possibility of an error occurring in a structured manner. Based on the results of work accident data processing using the SHERPA method, it is known that 4 tasks have moderate probability ordinal analysis and 1 task has low probability ordinal analysis. Based on the HEART method, it is known that the largest human error probability with a value of 0.928 is located in task 1 and task 5. Proposed improvements to reduce work accidents by imposing penalties on workers who do not use personal protective equipment while working and providing socialization regarding the importance of work safety.

Abstract

Banyaknya kriteria yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam memilih supplier perusahaan memungkinkan adanya kesalahan dalam menentukan prioritas kriteria yang dipakai. Pemilihan supplier merupakan salah satu kegiatan penting dalam mengoperasikan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan prioritas kriteria pemilihan supplier, dan untuk memilih supplier terbaik di PT ABC menggunakan metode analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Kriteria-kriteria yang dipertimbangkan dalam proses pemilihan supplier di perusahaan tersebut, yaitu harga, kualitas produk, kualitas pelayanan, waktu pengiriman, dan tanggung jawab. Terdapat dua kandidat supplier di perusahaan tersebut, yaitu CV ARKA dan CV BJM. Data hasil kuesioner tentang penilaian supplier diolah mengikuti prosedur AHP menggunakan Expert Choice. Hasil analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa bobot terbesar kriteria dalam pemilihan supplier di perusahaan tersebut adalah tanggung jawab, yaitu sebesar 0,318. Selanjutnya, diikuti kriteria kualitas produk, waktu pengiriman, kualitas pelayanan dan harga dengan masing-masing bobot sebesar 0,257; 0,192; 0,157 dan 0,077. Sedangkan, supplier terbaik yang dipilih oleh metode AHP tersebut adalah CV ARKA dengan bobot sebesar 0,570.

Abstract

The demand for Piston Cup Forging in spare-part companies every period has increased and decreased, which causes uncertainty about product demand. In this case, the company needs to do demand forecasting. There are various methods of doing forecasting. Companies must choose the best forecasting method, so that companies can make decisions more effectively and efficiently. This research aims to compare the best forecasting methods to apply for companies. The methods that will be compared in this research are Moving Average 3 monthly and 5 monthly, and Exponential Smoothing with α = 0,1; α = 0,5; and α = 0,9. The error accuracy calculations used are Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). From the results of calculations and analysis, the method that has the lowest error rate is the Exponential Smoothing method with α = 0,1, with MAD of 16.695, MSE of 510.645.732, and MAPE value of 61%. So in estimating the demand for Piston Cup Forging over the upcoming period in spare-part companies can use the Exponential Smoothing method with α = 0,1.

Abstract

To control product quality, companies usually limit the defect rate. If the defect exceeds the predetermined limit, then efforts are needed to improve the quality of the product. The purpose of this research is to suggest the quality improvement for one of the vehicle spare-part products in a company located in Karawang industrial area, namely Piston Cup Forging. The product has a defect rate exceeding the predetermined target. Improvement steps taken are to determine the types and factor of defects using fishbone diagram (FBD), analyze the dominant causal factors of defects using failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and provide proposed improvements using the 5W+1H method. Based on the results of FBD analysis, it is known that the type of gaikei minus defect is caused by four factors, namely machine, man, materials, and methods. Furthermore, based on the FMEA results, this type of the defect occurs because it is caused mostly by human factors. Therefore, in the study, it is proposed that the operator needs to re-check the machine before it is operated and evaluate the operator periodically.

Abstract

Pengendalian persediaan merupakan suatu sistem pengendalian untuk menentukan jumlah persediaan yang harus dikontrol, menentukan waktu yang tepat dalam melakukan pemesanan untuk menambah persediaan dan berapa jumlah pesanan harus diadakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui jumlah pemesanan O-ring yang paling ekonomis dan juga optimal, menghitung nilai persediaan pengaman, serta menentukan waktu pemesanan kembali. PT Bumen Citra Mandiri adalah perusahaan dagang yang menjual suku cadang forklift. O-ring merupakan salah satu suku cadang dengan volume penjualan tertinggi. Perusahaan mengalami kesulitan dalam mengontrol persediaan suku cadang yang menyebabkan sering terjadi penimbunan barang dan juga kekurangan stok di gudang. Dalam penelitian ini permasalahan tersebut diselesaikan dengan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan harus melakukan pemesanan sebanyak 1511 pcs dalam sekali pesan dengan total frekuensi pembelian sebanyak 13 kali pemesanan dalam periode satu tahun, dan waktu pemesanan optimal diperoleh dalam 28 hari serta membutuhkan safety stock sebanyak 38 pcs dan perusahaan perlu melakukan reorder bila persediaan tersisa 183 pcs.
