Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of direct learning models that are supported by learning videos. Class action research refers to Kemmis and McTaggart's designs, which are carried out over two cycles. The subjects of the study were students of class X LVE 7 at VHS Dharma Bahari Surabaya. Data were collected using test and observation instruments. Test and observation data were analyzed descriptively based on standardized study completeness criteria. The results of this study found that student learning outcomes consistently increased from the pre-test scores, the value of the first cycle, to the value of the second cycle. Based on the pre-test score data, it is known that there are 16 or 53% of 30 students who reach the complete category. Learning outcomes are then improved in the first cycle, where there are 19 or 63% who reach the complete category. Meanwhile, in cycle II there were 23 or 77% of students who reached the complete category. This increase occurred consistently so that it was concluded that the use of direct learning models supported by learning videos was very effective for the learning of class X LVE 7 students at VHS Dharma Bahari Surabaya.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas dari soal tipe HOTS pada kompetensi sistem rem melalui pelaksanaan analisis butir soal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TKRO 1 di SMKN 1 Labang Bangkalan sejumlah 32 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini meliputi soal pilihan ganda tipe HOTS, kunci jawaban, dan lembar jawaban hasil pekerjaan siswa, yang kemudian dianalisis validitas, reliabilitas tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh menggunakan bantuan software Anates V4. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari total 50 soal pilihan ganda terdapat 80%soal yang masuk dalam kategori valid, sedangkan 20% soal masuk pada kategori tidak valid. Kemudian untuk reliabilitas mendapatkan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,917. Sementara itu soal yang masuk kategori mudah, sedang, dan sukar pada indeks tingkat kesukaran masing-masing sebesar 38%, 46%, dan 16%. Kemudian soal yang masuk kategori baik sekali, baik, cukup, buruk, dan tidak baik pada indeks daya beda masing-masing sebesar 10%, 42%, 28%, 6%, dan 14%. Selanjutnya pada indeks pengecoh soal yang masuk kriteria sangat baik, baik, kurang baik, buruk, dan sangat buruk masing-masing sebesar 28%, 29%, 19%, 17%, dan 7%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa soal tipe HOTS pada kompetensi sistem rem layak digunakan sebagai alat penilai kompetensi siswa

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah merubah pola belajar siswa di seluruh dunia yang sebelumnya dilakukan secara tatap muka dan sekarang telah beralih menuju pembelajaran daring. Namun yang menjadi permasalahan adalah tidak semua sekolah siap untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran daring dalam waktu yang cukup lama. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk melatih para peserta dalam: (1) menggunakan platform google classroom; (2) menggunakan platform zoom cloud meetings; dan (3) menggunakan web tool quizizz. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan menggunakan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan. Subjek kegiatan atau perserta pelatihan berjumlah 50 orang guru. Waktu kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua hari yakin tanggal 20 hingga 21 Maret 2020 yang diselenggarakan di SMK Dharma Bahari Surabaya. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah secara berurutan dari 50 orang guru sebanyak 34%, 50%, dan 8% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”, “baik” dan “cukup” dalam mengoperasikan google classroom, sedangkan 8% lainnya masuk dalam kategori “kurang”. Selanjutnya, secara berurutan sebanyak 40%, 52%, dan 2% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”, “baik” dan “cukup” dalam mengoperasikan zoom cloud meetings, sedangkan 6% lainnya masuk dalam kategori “kurang”. Kemudian, secara berurutan sebanyak 30%, 56%, dan 10% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”, “baik” dan “cukup” dalam mengoperasikan web tool quizizz, sedangkan 4% lainnya masuk dalam kategori “kurang”.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of the copper honeycomb type DPF to the engine performance of diesel engines. The object of research was the 1996 Isuzu Panther engine, which was equipped with one standard exhaust and three experimental exhausts with DPF technology with a variety of mesh sizes 20, 15, and 10 mm. The findings of this study are that the DPF 10 mm is the best variation when compared to the other two variations in terms of increasing engine performance. The reason is that the smaller the mesh, the better the trapping of fine dust particles. Besides, the temperature inside the DPF is also increasing. Also, the use of the right casing design will make the turbulence of the exhaust gas flow lower. Furthermore, the temperature continues to grow, and the little turbulence of the exhaust gas flow will cause self-burning in the DPF. The occurrence of self-burning will have an impact on the complete combustion process, which affects increasing torque and engine power by 2.29-11.68% and 2.94-11.93%, respectively, when compared with standard exhaust.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan teknologi peralatan berbagai proses produksi di dunia industri mengalami kemajuan yang pesat, terutama mesin-mesin maupun peralatan-peralatan yang menggunakan teknologi pneumatik dan hidraulik. Hal ini akan memberikan konsekuensi, bahwa tenaga kerja yang mengoperasikan (operator)  dan memelihara (maintenance)  peralatan di industri harus kompeten dan memahami secara detail tentang mesin dan peralatan yang digunakan agar produksi berjalan optimal dan kesalahan (error) dapat diminimalkan. Untuk menjawab tantangan seperti ini, maka dibutuhkan tenaga kerja yang mempunyai pemahaman dan ketrampilan (kompetensi) dalam mengoperasikan serta merawat berbagai mesin yang bekerja berdasarkan sistem pneumatik maupun hidraulik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tersusunnya perangkat pembelajaran Pneumatik dan Hidraulik berbasis masalah berupa modul ajar dan trainer kit yang berorientasi ketrampilan siap kerja. Dalam praktik pembelajaran nantinya mahasiswa diberikan modul yang didukung dengan trainer. Selanjutnya berdasarkan petunjuk pelaksana di lembar kerja mahasiswa melakukan kegiatan menggambar rangkaian sistem penumatik dan hidraulik dengan software FluidSIM-P3 kemudian dipraktikan pada papan trainer. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada pengembangan model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop) dan tahap penyebaran (desseminate). Pada penelitian tahun pertama ini diperoleh perangkat pembelajaran pneumatik dan hidraulik berbasis masalah yang berorientasi keterampilan siap kerja berupa modul dan trainer pneumatik yang sudah di validasi dan diujicoba secara terbatas di Jurusan Teknik Mesin FT UNESA. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, modul yang dikembangkan termasuk kategori baik (3,21). Berdasarkan hasil uji coba secara terbatas didapatkan rata-rata hasil tes belajar produk (kognitif), ketuntasan klasikal mengalami peningkatan dari 5,56% menjadi 100%. Selain itu, rata-rata hasil tes belajar proses (psikomotor) diperoleh 100% ketuntasan klasikal. Berdasarkan angket respon, secara keseluruhan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan 100% mahasiswa menjawab menarik dan sebagai media pendukung dalam perkuliahan sehingga mampu memotivasi mahasiswa mengikuti perkuliahan (96%). Kata Kunci: perangkat pembelajaran. pneunatik, hidraulik, pembelajaran berbasis masalah ABSTRACTThe development of equipment technology for various production processes in the industrialized world has progressed rapidly, especially machines and equipment that use pneumatic and hydraulic technology. This will have a consequence, that the workforce who operates (operators) and maintains (maintenance) equipment in the industry must be competent and understand in detail about the machines and equipment used so that production runs optimally and errors can be minimized. To answer challenges like this, it requires a workforce who has understanding and skills (competence) in operating and maintaining various machines that work based on pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The purpose of this research is the preparation of problem-based Pneumatic and Hydraulics learning tools in the form of teaching modules and trainer kits oriented to work-ready skills. In the learning practice, students will be given modules that are supported by trainers. Furthermore, based on the implementing instructions on the worksheet the students carried out the activity of drawing a series of pneumatic and hydraulic systems with the FluidSIM-P3 software then practiced on the trainer board. The research method used in this study refers to the development of the 4-D model which consists of the define stage, the design stage, the develop stage and the deseminate stage. In this first year research, problem-based pneumatic and hydraulic learning devices that are oriented towards work-ready skills were obtained in the form of modules and pneumatic trainers that have been validated and tested on a limited basis in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, FT UNESA. Based on the results of the validation, the developed module was in a good category (3.21). Based on the results of limited trials, it was found that the average result of the product learning test (cognitive), classical completeness increased from 5.56% to 100%. In addition, the average results of the process learning test (psychomotor) obtained 100% classical completeness. Based on the response questionnaire, as a whole the learning tools developed by 100% of students answered interestingly and as supporting media in lectures so that they were able to motivate students to attend lectures (96%). Abstract

ABSTRAKKemandirian belajar menjadi faktor penting dalam implementasi pembelajaran daring di perguruan tinggi. kemandirian belajar adalah kemampuan seseorang dalam mewujudkan keinginannya secara nyata tanpa bergantung dengan orang lain, memiliki tanggung jawab sendiri, dan dapat menentukan belajar yang efektif. Kemandirian belajar akan mendorong mahasiswa untuk berprestasi dan berkreasi. Mahasiswa yang memiliki sikap mandiri akan lebih berani memutuskan hal-hal yang berkenaan dengan dirinya, mampu berinisiatif, dan mengembangkan kreativitas serta memotivasi untuk mendapatkan yang terbaik dalam belajarnya. Bertanya merupakan teknik pembelajaran yang paling umum digunakan oleh dosen dalam proses pembelajaran, ini dikarenakan pertanyaan merupakan pemandu untuk mengarahkan mahasiswa memahami topik topik pembelajaran, juga membantu menunjukan koherensi antara unit-unit dalam pembelajaran. Pemberdayaan Berpikir Melalui Pertanyaan (PBMP) merupakan pola pembelajaran yang memfokuskan pada pemberdayaan penalaran mahasiswa melalui pertanyaan, tidak ada proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung secara informatif, seluruhnya dilakukan melalui rangkaian atau jalinan pertanyaan yang telah dirancang secara tertulis dalam lembar-lembar PBMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong penelitian quasy ekperiment dengan menggunakan rancangan intact group comparasion. Data kemandirian belajar menunjukan Secara keseluruhan terdapat berbedaan pada semua aspek kemandirian belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis uji-t juga menunjukan PBMP berpengaruh lebih baik terhadap kemandirian belajar mahasiswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran yang tidak menggunakan PBMP. Kata Kunci:Pembelajaran daring, PBMP, kemandirian belajar. ABSTRACTSelf regulated learning  is an important factor in the  implementation of online learning in higher education. Self regulated learning is a person's ability to manifest his desires  in a real way without control with others, has his own responsibility , and can  determine effective learning. Self regulated learning  will encourage students to excel and be creative . Students who have an independent attitude will be more willing to decide things related to themselves , be able to take initiatives , develop creativity and motivate them to get the best in their studies. Asking is the most common learning technique used by lecturers in the learning process, because questions are helpful for understanding students in understanding the topics of learning topics, as well as helping to show coherence between units in learning. Thinking Empowerment by Questioning (TEQ) is a learning pattern that is focused on empowering student reasoning through questions, there is no learning process that takes place  informatively, it is all done  through a series or thread of questions that have been compiled in writing on TEQ sheets. This study aims to develop students' learning independence. This type of research is classified as a quasy experiment research using a complete group design. Self regulated learning  data shows that overall  there are differences in all aspects of the independent learning in the experimental class and the control class. The results of the t-test analysis also  show that (TEQ) has a better effect on self regulated learning  than learning that does not use TEQ Keywords: Online learning, TEQ, self regulated learning.

Abstract

21st century-era learning is undergoing significant changes. The learning process is carried out with a combination of various digital media that can be accessed easily by students and teachers in learning. Based on the covid-19 pandemic, it is also an effort to follow the development of technology and information. Vocational students in the Field of Automotive Engineering Expertise must have competence in maintenance and repair in vehicles. Therefore, with learning that still cannot be face-to-face in full, they must utilize technology and information to support learning and understand theoretical and practical materials. This research aims to find out the level of use of YouTube as a medium to support the learning of vocational students in the field of automotive engineering expertise. The sample taken in this study was a student of SMK Senopati Sidoarjo East Java Indonesia. They are majoring in Light Vehicle Engineering and Motorcycle Business Engineering. This study shows that YouTube is beneficial for students to support online learning in the pandemic period and overcome problems in the automotive field. There are tutorial videos that are very easy to access to help students overcome the pain in their vehicles and understand learning materials.
