Abstract

Sirkumsisi menurut sebagian ulama adalah hal yang wajib bagi laki-laki muslim. Sirkumsisi atau yang biasa disebut dengan sunat/khitan dilakukan dengan cara bedah minor yaitu dengan membuang kulit penis yang akan meninggalkan luka yang cukup mengganggu bagi anak. Proses pemulihan luka sirkumsisi tergantung oleh beberapa factor, salah satunya kondisi psikologis. Salah satu masalah kondisi psikologis anak adalah gangguan rasa nyaman yang masih sering terabaikan oleh tenaga kesehatan, keluarga maupun anak yang disurkimsisi. Gangguan rasa nyaman pada anak jika diabaikan akan menimbulkan masalah psikologis lebih lanjut dan jika dibiarkan akan memberikan efek yang lebih berat lagi seperti post traumatic syndrome disorder.Gangguan rasa nyaman pada anak dapat diatasi dengan berbagai intervensi komplementer, antara lain relaksasi otot progresif dimodifikasi spiritual, mindfulness spiritual dimodifikasi khusus untuk anak dan terapi dzikir. Tujuan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran anak terhadap kesehatan jiwa sendiri dengan intervensikomplementer. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan serangkaian kegiatan berupa diskusi, ceramah, simulasi, praktek & evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah, anak yang disirkumsisi memiliki kemampuan untuk mengatasi masalah gangguan rasa nyaman yang dialami. Kesimpulannya kegiatan tersebut bahwa terapi komplementer berbasis spiritual selain dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koping anak juga dapat meningkatkan iman anak.

Abstract

Mayoritas mahasiswa keperawatan menunjukkan kecemasan, ketidaknyamanan dan ketakutan ketika harus berinteraksi dengan klien yang memiliki diagnose gangguan jiwa. Kecemasan yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa disebabkan karena pandangan negative terhadap ODGJ Mayoritas mahasiswa keperawatan yang menunjukkan kecemasan, ketidaknyamanan dan ketakutan ketika harus berinteraksi dengan klien yang memiliki diagnose gangguan jiwa. Kecemasan yang dialami mahasiwa dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan belajar dan prestasi. Relaksasi Otot Progresif merupakan salah satu cara yang dikembangkan oleh seorang psikolog Chicago yaitu Edmund Jacobson untuk menanggulangi kecemasan Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan intervensi relaksasi otot progresif dan mindfulness spiritual islam terhadap kecemasan mahasiswa pra klinik stase jiwa Sampel Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 177 responden. Data dianalisa menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Instrument penelitian menggunakan STAI. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan skor kecemasan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi relaksasi otot progresif (p 0,0001) dan intervensi mindfulness spiritual islam (0,0001) Saran dari penelitian adalah diperlukan adanya intervensi relaksasi otot progresif dan mindfulness spiritual islam untuk menurunkan kecemasan mahasiswa menghadapi ODGJ.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is experienced by individuals almost every day. Yet, it is unnatural if it happens continuously to be able to disrupt the minds and activities. Lack of information becomes an obstacle in mental health management, especially anxiety. One of the steps to achieving healthy status is the empowerment of mental health cadres through Anxiety Education training.Objective: This study time to determine the effect of anxiety education on the knowledge and skills of cadres in managing anxiety in Suro Village, Kalibagor Sub-District, Banyumas Regency. Method: This study used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. The population and samples were 40 respondents selected using the total sampling method. Then, the Wilcoxon test was utilized for the statistical test. Results: This study showed that the majority of respondents are 36-45 years old (35%), and graduated from elementary school level (45%). They worked as housewives (57.5%), and have been being a cadre for 0-10 years (42.5%). The p-value obtained from the Wilcoxon test was 0.000 < 0.05. It meant that there was a significant influence on the level of knowledge and skills of cadres before and after being given anxiety education. Conclusion: Good knowledge would affect the ability and skills of cadres in managing anxiety in their life and in the community.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic greatly affects mental health among adolescents. Adolescents are one of the most vulnerable groups to mental health due to a lack of activity and time to play with peers. They just stay at home and study online. Objective: This study aims to figure out the overview of mental health, which includes symptoms of depression, anxiety, somatic, and decreased energy in adolescents in Majalangu Village, Watukumpul Sub-district, Pemalang Regency. Method: This was a retrospective study with a sample of 88 respondents who were selected using the proportional random sampling technique. Results: The study using the SRQ-20 showed that 54 respondents (61.4%) were mentally healthy while 34 respondents (38.6%) were not. Conclusion: There were four symptoms in the overview of adolescent mental health: symptoms of depression, characterized by feelings of worthlessness (66.67%); symptoms of anxiety, characterized by feelings of tension, anxiety, and worry (64.81%); symptoms of somatic, characterized by headaches (57.41%); and symptoms of decreased energy, characterized by feeling easily tired (92.59%).

Abstract

Background: Elementary-aged children are an important period to emphasize about their own safety. This is because at that age children like to spend time with friends. This factor makes children more vulnerable to sexual abuse. Objective: To find out the educational effect of the animated video "know and protect yourself" on the knowledge of prevention of sexual harassment in children at SD N 2 Cinyawang, Patimuan. Method: The research design used was Pre Experimental with the One Group Pretest Posttest Without Control Group Design approach. The sample of this research was 70 students in grades 4 and 5 of SD N 2 Cinyawang. Results: Most respondents were female with a percentage of 50.7%. The average result of sexual harassment prevention knowledge before being given education on the animated video "Know and Protect Yourself" is 5.47, while after being given education it is 8.89. The average difference before and after is 3.42. Conclusion: There is an educational effect of the animated video "Know and Protect Yourself" on knowledge about preventing sexual harassment in children at SD N 2 Cinyawang, Patimuan District (p value 0.000).

Abstract

Usia prasekolah merupakan kelompok rentan terserang penyakit menular karena kebiasaannya memegang sesuatu benda, mengusap ingus dengan tangan. Salah satu penyakit yang menular adalah COVID-19 yang telah menjadi pandemic pada tahun 2020-2022. Salah satu tindakan pencegahan penularan penyakit tersebut adalah melalui cuci tangan. Pada usia prasekolah mempunyai tugas perkembangan meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus dan motorik kasar. Keterampilan ini bisa dilatih menggunakan cara menyusun puzzle dan mewarnai. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan anak-anak dalam melakukan cuci tangan yang benar. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, menyusun puzzle, mewarnai, praktik cuci tangan bersama dan diskusi dengan cara bercerita pengalaman kegiatan yang dilakukan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah anak-anak mampu mengikuti kegiatan dari awal sampai akhir walaupun ada beberapa anak ketika menyusun puzzle masih melihat teman disampingnya. Anak-anak bisa mewarnai, praktik cuci tangan bersama dengan baik dan aktif dalam bercerita ketika menemukan kesulitan-kesulitan pada proses kegiatan. Kesimpulan dalam kegiatan ini adalah sebagian anak-anak usia prasekolah mampu melakukan cuci tangan dengan baik dengan panduan gambar yang diwarnainya. Saran untuk kegiatan selanjutnya adalah kegiatan ini dikemas dengan bentuk perlombaan sehingga mereka mempunyai kemauan untuk bersaing tanpa mencontek dalam pekerjaan mereka.

Abstract

Henti jantung merupakan kondisi hilangnya fungsi pompa jantung secara mendadak, terjadi secara tiba-tiba, karena ketidakmampuan memompa darah ke seluruh tubuh dan membutuhkan penanganan segera karena berisko mengancam nyawa. Pemberian Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) pada henti jantung selama ini banyak dilakukan oleh tenaga medis, namun pada prinsipnya orang awam juga bisa memberikan BHD, yaitu dengan menggunakan hand Only RJP (Resusitasi Jantung Paru). Berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi ditemukan beberapa permasalahan mitra diantaranya Guru dan karyawan SD Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) belum memahami tentang henti jantung dan pemberian BHD. Selama ini belum ada kegiatan pelatihan BHD yang dilaksanakan disekolah. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman Guru dan karyawan tentang henti jantung dan bagaimaan pemberian BHD pada henti jantung. Metode yang digunakan melalui pelatihan BHD yang terdiri dari kegiatan edukasi menggunakan media komik SITUNGRU (Resusitasi Jantung Paru), simulasi dan praktik. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner pre dan postest serta observasi praktik peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta setelah dilakukan pelatihan dengan nilai rata-rata 13,48 (pretest) menjadi 17,80 (posttest). Peserta dapat melakukan ketrampilan BHD dengan metode Hands only CPR, dengan rata rata nilai adalah 91,36. Selanjutnya untuk meningkatkan retensi pengetahuan dan ketrampilan BHD dapat dilatih dengan metode simulasi dan praktik secara periodik.

Abstract

Objective:  to determine the effect of audiovisual-based psychoeducation interventions on internet addiction.Methods:  Research design was quasy experiment with control group. The sample are 51 respondents. Data was analyzed using paired t test.Results:  There are differences in internet addiction scores (p value 0.0001) in both of groupsConclusion: intervention for internet addiction was effectively intervened with psychoeducation. In particular this intervention applying psychological treatments that can increase the effectiveness of intervention for internet addiction is more than just cognitive treatment. This shows that innovative intervention approaches are more effective in dealing with internet addiction

Abstract

Background: Changes in body composition during adolescence can affect the self-concept of teenagers, including self-esteem and body image. Physical changes often drive teenagers to strive for an ideal appearance through various means, including make-up. Adolescents preoccupied with physical appearance tend to develop opinions and feelings about their bodies' size, shape, appearance, and abilities. This study aimed to determine the correlations between make-up dependency to self-esteem and body image among female students in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Method: This study utilized a quantitative descriptive approach involving 180 female students aged 18-22, selected through random sampling. Data was collected using DeFleur's makeup dependency questionnaire, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), and the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS). Statistical data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test (X2). Results: The results revealed that the majority of the female students; obtained a moderate level of makeup dependency, had high self-esteem, showed a positive body image, there was no significant correlation between makeup dependency and self-esteem, with a p-value of 0.764 > 0.05, and there was no significant correlation between makeup dependency and body image, with a p-value of 0.063 > 0.05. Conclusion: Both self-esteem and body image are high and positive among female students.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a common reaction to situations individuals perceive as dangerous or threatening. Prolonged anxiety can disrupt a person's thoughts and behaviors. Elderly individuals often experience anxiety, primarily related to their illnesses, with hypertension being prevalent among them. The advantage of health education using video media lies in its ability to provide effective visualization to facilitate the learning process. Method: This study employed a Pre - Experimental research design with a quantitative approach, explicitly utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampling was conducted using random sampling, with a sample size of 54 respondents. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) was used to measure anxiety. Results: The average pre-test anxiety score before the intervention was 29.79, while the average post-test score showed a decrease of 4.00, resulting in a score of 25.79. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value for the pre-test and post-test of 0.000 (0.050), indicating that psychoeducation intervention with PMR video therapy affected anxiety levels in the elderly with hypertension at the Salem Village Elderly Health Post. Conclusion: Psychoeducation intervention with PMR video therapy affects anxiety levels in the elderly with hypertension in Salem Village.
