Abstract

Underground water is a component in the hydrological cycle which takes place in nature, formed by rainwater that seeped into the soil in the recharge area and flew through the media layer ofrock acting as a carrier layer of water (aquifer) in ground water basin, where is under the groundleading to discharge area. Wates basin’s groundwater includes the Wates, Temon, Panjatan, Lendah,Brosot, a little part of the Sentolo and Pengasih District located in Unit Plateau of volcanics fluvio, beach units and sand dunes with the alluvial material consisting of sand, gravel, silt, and clay, flatmorphology, relative lithology and groundwater characteristics. This lithology is potential with theoccurrence of groundwater conservation system changes if there is an excessive ground waterextraction in the region which can be characterized by the increase in salinity in ground water. The main objective of this study is to fully assess the qualitative and quantitative groundwaterin the Wates Groundwater BasinBasin due to Temon International Airport construction in its relationto maintain the sustainability of groundwater systems. The methods in this study consists of several steps, starting from observation and rock’s / soildescription include: measurement of rock bedding, measurement of structural geology elements, observation of morphological conditions, and sampling soil / rock to be tested in laboratoryconcerning about the content of its mineralogy, texture and structure. The cross-section will showtheinformation of quantity / amount of groundwater that exist in the research area and the coastidentification towards the potential intrusion of sea water. The results of mineralogical analysis ofrocks and hydrochemical groundwater will provide information on the distribution of groundwaterquality. This conditions will certainly change the start of construction and post construction of theairport. Information about the mineralogical content of rocks, hydrochemical content of water andaquifer configuration will be able to contribute as an efforts in the groundwater area of InternationalAirport Temon, DIY.Keywords : groundwater, aquifer, electrolite conductivity, seawater intrusion

Abstract

Abstract

Mount Merapi is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia and is located in the Sleman Regency area of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province and the Magelang, Klaten and Boyolali Regencies in Central Java Province. There are tools to support the early warning system located at stations or posts around the Blongkeng River. This tool is still active and is needed to notify you if a rain lava flood disaster will occur with a water level sensor. Therefore, a warning system model is needed that can be utilized by the community around Blongkeng. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with data obtained through FGD/Interviews, Observation and documentation studies. The subjects of this research were 15 residents living around the Blongkeng River. The research results show that the existing device developed can provide information to the people around Blongkeng if the water level is dangerous and has the potential for lava flooding. From the results of interviews, observations and documentation studies, it shows that the community needs tools and systems to receive early warnings when a rain lava flood disaster occurs. Furthermore, as a means of information for villages located on the top/slopes of Mount Merapi to be able to provide information to villages located below it when lava floods will occur. Existing devices can provide information to people living around the Blongkeng River if the water level is dangerous and has the potential for rain lava flooding, although there are still several obstacles because there are tools at the Salamsari Station/Post that need to be calibrated.

Abstract

Blitar Regency, which directly borders the Indian Ocean on the south side, has the potential for a tsunami disaster. Ringinrejo Village, Wates District, which is potentially affected by the tsunami disaster, is on the coast of Jolosutro Beach with a population of 334 people. The large population in coastal areas makes social and economic vulnerability an important factor in disaster management. This research aims to analyze social and economic vulnerability per inhabited building block using the SoVI method, analyzing the distribution of social and economic vulnerability using the GIS method, and the dominant factors influencing social and economic vulnerability using the stepwise regression method. The research results show that: (1) the level of social and economic vulnerability is 36.63% at a medium level of vulnerability with 37 households, 28.71% at a low level of vulnerability or 29 households, 26.73% at a high level of vulnerability with 27 houses households, 3.96% at very low and very high levels of vulnerability with 4 households each. The need for involvement of all parties to reduce the potential for a tsunami disaster in Ringinrejo Village, Wates District, Blitar Regency.

Abstract

Indonesia is highly vulnerable to natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and floods. In this context, families play a crucial role as pillars of resilience and preparedness for disasters. This study aims to review existing literature related to the role of families in building resilience and disaster preparedness in Indonesia. This study illustrates the importance of the family's role in facing various natural disasters that are common in Indonesia. The family not only functions as a basic unit in society but also as the first agent in disaster risk mitigation. Through this role, families can strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities in facing emergency situations. This literature review includes an analysis of various studies that have been conducted on family strategies in increasing resilience to disasters, including disaster education at home, provision of emergency equipment, and evacuation plans. In addition, it also discusses how government policies and community support can strengthen the role of families in disaster preparedness. The literature review shows that families with good knowledge and preparedness can reduce the negative impact of disasters. Families that have implemented disaster preparedness practices tend to be more able to survive and recover quickly after a disaster occurs. Government and community support are also found to be very important in strengthening family resilience. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive overview of the important role of families in facing disasters in Indonesia and to identify factors that support family resilience. This study emphasizes that families have a vital role in disaster preparedness and resilience. With appropriate education, government support, and community involvement, families can be a key pillar in disaster mitigation strategies, which in turn will reduce losses and accelerate the post-disaster recovery process

Abstract

The implementations of self-assessment using Inarisk SPAB's (Disaster Safe School) e-monev tools in Bantul Regency are currently not optimal. According to SPAB e-monev study and analysis by BNPB in 2023 stated that 11% of the 8,268 schools only in DI. Yogyakarta did it. The capacity and preparedness for schools in Bantul, especially those on the Opak Fault, to face the threat of earthquakes is absolutely necessary through reinforcement of SPAB. To ensure the schools in the Opak Fault area consistently implement Disaster Safe School (SPAB) standards in increasing preparedness to face earthquakes, periodic self-assessments should be carried out. However, self-assessment using Inarisk SPAB's (Disaster Safe School) e-monev tools in the Opak Fault has not been optimal, which means that schools have not attempted to provide guarantees of optimal preparedness to face the risk of earthquake disasters for its members. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach involving 32 key informan and triangulation. The results are stated that four of six schools in Opak Fault, Bantul Regency are less prepared to face earthquakes, while the others are almost ready and ready category.
