Abstract

This research was grounded on the argument that Malay Society is know to be highly religious and Islamic, even identifying themselves as strong Muslims. However, the issue of LGBT has been increasingly prevalent in Riau since 2023. Employing a qualitative approach and utilizing literature studies, this research attempted to analyze issues related to LGBT in the Land of Lanang Kuning. Data were obtained through research findings on LGBT in Riau on Mendeley as well as from both print and online media. The findings indicated that the growing issue of LGBT in Riau is accompanied by an increase in positive sentiments and perceptions towards LGBT behavior. Several emerging studies demonstrated the reinforcement of positive sentiments and the high positive perception among Riau students towards LGBT.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWAT) Analysis of the Majelis Taklim in its efforts to form a religious community in Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative and qualitative. Data collection techniques used questionnaire techniques, short entries and interviews. For this type of quantitative research, the author uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques with percentages, meanwhile for qualitative research, the researcher uses the Miles and Hubermen model data analysis techniques. The results of the research and discussion are as follows: 1. The Strengths of the Majelis Taklim lie in aspects; a. number of Majelis Taklim, b. access to mosques and prayer rooms, c. ownership of a Management Decree (SK) as legitimacy in the management of the Majelis Taklim, d. condition of the Taklim Assembly facilities, e. The period of existence of the Majelis Taklim. 2. Weaknesses (Weaknesses) of the Taklim Council lie in aspects; management or governance, for example the absence of a Majelis Taklim management meeting, this is caused by a lack of experience in participating in organizational management or governance training for the Majelis Taklim. 3. Opportunities, the Majelis Taklim administrators can utilize and collaborate with various cross-institutions and agencies. 4. Threats (Threats) for the Majelis Taklim, the urgency does not come from outside, but rather from the condition of the congregation, namely; a. level of awareness or motivation of the congregation in guiding the science assembly, b. The congregation's busyness in fulfilling life's demands, especially in the economic sector, is the cause of absence from various activities held by the Majelis Taklim

Abstract

The universal reality actually presents two intertwined realities, mutually reinforcing and explaining, namely the esoteric and exoteric aspects. Esotericism is the essence or substance, while exotericism is the form or format of reality itself. The perspective of perennialism does not only focus on existing diversity, but also reacts to the perspectives and attitudes of human life that have begun to be enslaved and "re-created" by advances in science and modern technology. Humans become helpless when faced with the current conditions, even though these conditions he himself has engineered. Humans in their lives are always preoccupied and trapped by the laws of relativity and measuring everything by quantities, regardless of how these conditions have led to the edge of their existence. Perennialism actually seeks to build a system of thinking that sees everything in this history as different expressions of a single Divine tradition. Faith in God, believing in the day of resurrection, and being faithful to always do good deeds is the core of all religious and theosophical teachings. A perennial and universal virtue, even though its understanding, approach and manifestation are always local and particular.
