Abstract

ujuan penelitian ini adalah mempelajari profil anti-inhibin hasil induksi inhibin 32 kDa dari sel granulosa folikel ovarium kambing pada kelinci. Penelitian ini dilakukan dilakukan dalam 2 tahap yaitu 1) isolasi dan karakterisasi inhibin dari sel granulosa folikel ovarium kambing dan 2) karakterisasi anti-inhibin sebagai respon imun akibat induksi oleh inhibin. Karakterisasi inhibin dilakukan menggunakan teknik sodium dodecyl sulphonat polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) dan anti-inhibin dikarakterisasi menggunakan teknik blotting (dot blot dan Western blot) dan enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Imunisasi 200 p.1 inhibin dilakukan dengan penambahan ill 200 Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA) dan 200111 Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant (IFA) masing-masing untuk imunisasi primer dan booster. Serum dikoleksi setiap minggu selama 10 kali setelah booster I. Hasil SDS-PAGE menunjukkan bahwa inhibin sel granulosa folikel ovarium kambing mempunyai BM 32 kDa. Imunisasi primer yang diikuti 2 kali booster menginduksi respon imun humoral yang ditandai dengan biosintesis anti-inhibin. Titer optimum dicapai pada pengambilan darah ke-8 (65 hari pasca imunisasi primer).

Guided byNURZAINAH GINTING and YUSUF LEONARD HENUK.The aim of this research was to inventigate the effect of bio gas slurry with the input ofbuffalo feces and water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) with various doses of MOD(Microorganism Decomposer) on Indigofera zollingeriana productivity. This research wasconducted in Parbaba Village, Pangururan District, Samosir Regency of North Sumaterafrom April to November 2017. The design used in this research was split plot design with 4replications. Factor I dose of MOD, M1 = 1 liter / 150 liters and M2 = 2 liters /150 liters.Factor II dose of bio-slurry fertilizer with input of buffalo feces and water hyacinthparameters, P0 = 0 (as control), P1 = 20, P2 = 40. Were plant height, stems diameter,fresh weight production, and dry weight troduction.The results showed that dosage of MOD gave significant effect on plant height, stemdiameter, fresh weight production, and dry matter of Indigofera zollingeriana. Theprovision of bio gas slurry with buffalo faeces and water hyacinth with various doses ofMOD has a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, fresh weight production, anddry matter. The conclusion of this research that increasing the dose of MOD andfertilization dose of Indigofera zollingeriana gave a better result.Keywords: slurry, buffalo faeces, water Hyacinth, productivity, indigofera zollingeriana

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of this research is analyze the extent to which the utilization of jackfruit seed flour can substitute rice bran in rations on the performance of chicken. This research was conducted in laboratory of livestock breeding livestock study program of agricultural faculty of north sumatera university, in March-April 2017. The design used in this research is randomized block design (RAK) with 4 treatments and 3 groups. Treatment with various levels of jackfruit seed meal ration with P0 (0%), P1 (10%), P2 (20%), P3 (30%). The parameters in this study are ration consumption, weight gain and ration conversion.The results showed the average consumption (g / head / day) for treatment P0; P1; P2; P3 of; 349,53; 345,71; 354.28; 343.67, then weight gain (PBB) (g / head / day) were; 98,85; 100,41; 92.49; 100.8, and ration conversion of; 6.36; 6.28; 6.87 and 6.21. The results of the diversity analysis showed that the utilization of Jackfruit seed flour gave no significant effect (P> 0,05) on the performance of chicken. The conclusion of this research is the use of jackfruit seed flour in ration can substitute rice bran in chicken ration.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of price level on egg demand  and to analyze factors affecting egg demand price in North Tapanuli regency. In addition, this study also to investigate how big the elasticity of egg demand  and to know marketing channel eggs in North Tapanuli Regency. This research use survey method with consumer respondent unit and egg consumer. The sample was obtained by accidental sampling method and obtained 48 traders and 90 consumers. Data analysis was done descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the ras chicken egg and buras chicken egg are elastic while the duck eggs are inelastic. The demand for ras chicken eggs is significantly influenced by the number of dependents and substitute goods (tofu). Demand for duck eggs and buras chicken eggs is significantly influenced by the number of dependents. The more the number of family dependents then the number of egg demand will be higher. Influence of a good from the price of other goods because each item has a mutual relationship replace the function of usability, and also complement each other.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characterization and comparative test of exterior and interior qualities including egg weight, eggshell thickness, egg shape, air cavity and interior including high albumin, egg yolk, and haugh egg unit from egg strain Isa Brown and Hyline Brown in different areas of Deli Serdang and Langkat regencies, North Sumatra Province in June-July 2017. The eggs used in this study were 400 eggs divided by 100 Isa Brown and 100 Hyline Brown from Denai Village, Pantai Labu Subdistrict, Regency Deli Serdang, then 100 Isa Brown and 100 Hyline Brown from Sei Limbat Village, Kecamatan Selesai, Langkat District. Each egg is collected directly from the chicken and then measured against the exterior and interior. The results showed that the characterization and comparative test of chicken eggs consumption of strains of Isa Brown and Hyline Brown in different regions had results(thit> ttable) with t test on comparative test I1: H1 and I2: H2 meaning egg of different strain showed different result also on egg weight parameter, shapeegg, shell weight, air cavity, egg white index, haugh unit, egg yolk index and yolk color. The comparative test I1: I2 showed no significant differences (thit <ttabel) on egg weight, shell thickness, shell weight, egg white index, haugh unit and egg yolk index, but showed significantly different (titable) results in egg shape, air cavity and yolk color, meaning there is environmental influence but not significant to other quality of egg with same strain in different region. In the H1: H2 comparative test the results were not significantly different (thit <ttabel) on all parameters except the color of egg yolks, meaning that no environmental or strain effect produced eggs of the same quality in different regions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the reproduction and morphological performance of the stallion in Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This research was conducted in Humbang Hasundutan Regency and cement test at Livestock Breeding and Animal Feed Siborong-borong on July - August 2017. This research was conducted on 15 adult stallion. Then by using Ms Excel data application in input to know total, mean, standard deviation, coefficient of diversity. The results showed that in the macroscopic test the cement volume has a coefficient of 7.74% diversity. The color obtained is white gray. 75% viscous viscosity, 26% dilute. pH diversity coefficient 6.79%. In the microscopic test that motility has a coefficient of 9.91% diversity. The concentration has a diversity coefficient of 7.74%. 90% Abnormalities Normal, 10% abnormal. Measurements of morphology include coefficient of diversity of head length2,71, head width 4.54%, length of neck 5.04% height of shoulder1,89% of circumference of chest 3.40%, depth of breasts 6.84%, length of body3,765%, height of hip 2.16 %, Hole width3,14%, Scrotum diameter 9.45%. The coefficient of data obtained shows the number below 10 which means the sample data is taken to show a uniform value. The uniforms obtained indicate good quality score values ​​for breeding.

This study aims to examine the effect of garlic (Allium sativum Linn) and red ginger (Zingiber officinale var rubra) extract on the growth of broiler chickens were infected by Escherichia coli. The design used in this study was a complete randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment consists of P0A = Control without infection; P0B = Control + E. coli infection; P1 = Infection E. coli + tetracycline antibiotics 0.05%; P2 = Infection E. coli + garlic extract (Allium sativum Linn) (1%); P3 = Infection E. coli + red ginger extract (Zingiber officinale var rubra) (1%); P4 = Infection E. coli + garlic (Allium sativum Linn) and red ginger (Zingiber officinale var rubra) extract (1%).The results showed that the effect of garlic and red ginger gave significant influence (P <0,05) to growth of broiler were infected by Escherichia coli. The combination of garlic (Allium sativum Linn) and red ginger (Zingiber officinale var rubra) extract has the highest influence of other activities. Abstract

ABSTRACT.The purpose of this research were to know the magnitude and affect of marketing margin cost on the selling price of chicken eggs and how the systematics of chicken egg distribution from producers to final consumers. This research was conducted at 7 markets that have been chosen by way of deliberate from 21 districts located in Medan City: Setia Budi Market, Sei Kambing Market, Sambu Market (sentral), Aksara Market, Pringgan Market, Simpang Limun Market, and Kampung Lalang Market. This research was conducted from October to November 2016. This study used primary data obtained from observation and interviews of respondents. Determination of respondents by accidental sampling metohd. The parameters studied were channel and agency marketing, marketing margin, farmer share and marketing efficiency.The result of this study indicated that the marketing institution involved were collecting traders, big traders and small traders. Marketing channels had four channels. The marketing efficiency on channel I is 2,16%, channel II is 1,14%, Channel III was 2,13% and channel IV was 1,72%. Farmer share channel I was 80,14%, channel II was 81,52%, channel III was 76,21% and channel was 81,15%. The conclusion of this research was that  the marketing of chicken eggs in Medan City of North Sumatera has been efficient.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine whether the waste media plant white fermented oyster mushroom can substitute forage on sheep against non-carcass components are feasible eaten. This research was conducted in Namo Trasi Village, Pasar VIII, in October - December 2017 by using local sheep with average weight of 9 ± 0.25 kg. The research design used in this study was a complete randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates, consisting of P0 (60% non-wasted greenhouse vegetation fermentation + 40% concentrate), P1 (45% forage and waste) medium planting white oyster mushroom fermentation 15% + concentrate 40%), P2 (forage 30% and waste medium planting white oyster mushroom fermentation 30% + concentrate 40%) and P3 (forage 15% and sewage media plant white fermented oyster mushrooms 45% + 40% concentrate). The parameters observed were weight percentage of head, leg, skin, tail, trachea and lungs, liver, heart, blood, and gastrointestinal tract. The result of the research shows that the waste of fermented white oyster mushroom media can substitute forage as local sheep feed, but it can not increase the percentage of non-carcass component that is feasible to eat.
