Abstract

This research aims to analyze the extent of students' character changes towards the learning of Akidah Akhlak (Faith and Morality). The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method with a case study approach (Field) using observation and interview methods. Data sources consist of primary (main) and secondary (supporting) data, with the research conducted at a school located in SMA Muhammadiyah 23 East Jakarta. The data collection technique to determine the research subjects is triangulation, which involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This technique is chosen to ensure data validity by comparing interview results with the research object. The research findings indicate that the planning of Akidah Akhlak teacher's learning in character formation efforts in students involves designing lesson plans involving media and also demonstrating good manners so that students can also apply them directly. The implementation of Akidah Akhlak learning with the aim of forming student character has been carried out by referring to the rules and regulations applied in every activity or learning process in each educational institution. Evaluation of Akidah Akhlak teacher's learning includes assignments and practices given by teachers, daily tests, mid-term tests, and final tests for students. The delivery of Akidah Akhlak learning in shaping student character applied by subject teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah 23 has yielded very satisfactory results, allowing students to gradually form their characters well and practice them in the school environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap layanan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif  dengan pendekatan survey. Populasi penelitian adalah semua mahasiswa semester empat pada program studi magister administrasi pendidikan yang berjumlah 80 orang dan sampel penelitian berjumlah sebanyak 39 mahasiswa yang dilakukan dengan teknik sampel acak (Random sampling). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui Google Form. Instrumen penelitian dirancang oleh Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA, yang terdiri dari empat indikator yaitu: layanan terhadap dosen, layanan terhadap tenaga kependidikan, layanan terhadap pengelola, dan layanan terhadap sarana dan prasarana. Analisis data dilakukan dengan perhitungan statistik berdasarkan skor yang diperoleh yang terbagi kedalam empat kelompok skor, yaitu sangat memuaskan, memuaskan, cukup memuaskan, dan kurang memuaskan. Hasil pengujian analisis data semua indikator memberikan nilai sangat memuaskan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 92,96. Tanggapan kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap layanan pendidikan di program studi administrasi pendidikan Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA sudah sesuai harapan dengan melayani sepenuhnya atau daya tanggap yang cepat.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an AI-based teaching factory model in Vocational High Schools (SMKs) to improve vocational education quality and align student competencies with Industry 4.0 requirements. Integrating AI is anticipated to enhance students' technical and non-technical skills, including problem-solving, creativity, and technology adaptation. The research utilized a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques. Data were collected through surveys, interviews, and observations from teachers and students in SMKs implementing AI-based teaching factories. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) and in-depth teacher interviews to evaluate readiness and integration challenges. Findings reveal that AI applications in teaching factories significantly enhance students' technological proficiency, learning efficiency, and industry-readiness. Teachers reported improved teaching effectiveness, although they faced obstacles in areas like teacher training and technological infrastructure. The study highlights the potential of AI in elevating vocational education but identifies barriers requiring attention, such as the need for continuous teacher development and robust infrastructure. Recommendations include targeted training programs, increased investment in technology, and curriculum revisions to integrate AI comprehensively. Implementing AI in SMKs presents a promising strategy to address the evolving demands of Industry 4.0, enhancing educational outcomes for students and teaching effectiveness for educators.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Active Learning strategies to enhance Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at a vocational high school in Indonesia. The research responds to the challenge of improving students' analytical, evaluative, and creative abilities in a subject often taught through passive methods. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, involving structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Participants included 12 students, two PAI teachers, and one vice principal at SMKN 3 South Tangerang. Data were analyzed using an interactive model that incorporated reduction, display, and verification processes. The study found that Active Learning strategies—such as problem-based learning, project-based learning, think-pair-share, and role-play—were effectively integrated into PAI instruction. These methods were supported by two key approaches: the administrative mode (lesson planning, classroom management, and HOTS-based assessments) and the internalization mode (reflection, values education, and student-centered expression). As a result, students showed notable improvement in HOTS indicators: analysis (C4) increased from 62% to 78%, evaluation (C5) from 58% to 74%, and creation (C6) from 55% to 71%. Active Learning in PAI not only improved cognitive outcomes but also fostered reflective and ethical engagement with Islamic teachings. The findings suggest that structured yet flexible pedagogical models can make religious education more participatory, contextual, and relevant to real-world challenges, particularly in vocational school settings.

Abstract

Intolerance and exclusivism continue to pose challenges in Indonesian higher education, underscoring the need for leadership models that promote inclusive and moderate religious attitudes. This study investigates the humanization dimension of prophetic leadership practiced by AIK (Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan) lecturers at Universitas Teknologi Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UTMJ) in strengthening students’ religious moderation.A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns and core values embedded in lecturers’ leadership practices.The findings reveal five key values underpinning the humanization model of prophetic leadership: moral and academic role modeling, tolerance for diversity, compassion in mentoring, justice in assessment and interaction, and integrity in upholding Islamic and Muhammadiyah principles. These values are consistently integrated into teaching practices and social engagement, contributing to the development of students’ wasathiyyah (moderate religious attitudes).The study concludes that the humanization dimension of prophetic leadership functions as a transformative framework for fostering students’ moral character and promoting an inclusive, ethical academic culture. This model offers practical implications for strengthening religious moderation within Muhammadiyah higher education and potentially in broader academic contexts.

Abstract

The intersection of Islam and multiculturalism in education has generated a rapidly expanding yet fragmented body of literature across pesantren epistemology, curriculum policy, and migrant identity studies, but this literature has not yet been systematically mapped. This study addresses that gap by mapping the scholarly landscape of multicultural Islamic education through a bibliometric approach. Data were retrieved from Scopus through a PRISMA-guided selection process, resulting in 116 articles published between 2015 and 2025. The data were analyzed using VOS viewer and Biblioshiny, part of the Bibliometrix package in R. The findings show an annual growth rate of 27.48 percent, with a sharp increase after 2020, as well as a collaborative authorship pattern averaging 3.16 co-authors per document. Indonesia and Malaysia dominate the scholarly contributions, led by Universitas Islam Malang and Universiti Malaya, reflecting the sociopolitical urgency of managing religious diversity in multiethnic Muslim-majority societies. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identifies four clusters: pesantren-based education, tolerance and deradicalization, curriculum integration, and an emerging intersection with cultural-health discourse. The prejudice reduction dimension, especially tolerance and deradicalization, is more prominent than in global multicultural education literature, which tends to emphasize teacher competence and diversity awareness. Links to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 and SDG 16, appear conceptually but remain marginal and implicit, rather than forming a mature research agenda. These findings contribute theoretically by refining Banks' multicultural education framework in Muslim-majority contexts and practically by guiding curriculum policymakers in designing teacher training on religious moderation.

Abstract

Learning that takes place at SMP Muhammadiyah Cisalak has implemented learning media in the form of Google but only a few features have been applied. In an effort to optimize the learning process in a more effective classroom, the solution to the problem offered to Partners is to provide training in the use of existing facilities in Google Apps for Education including Google Classroom, Google Form, and Google Drive. These Google facilities are an alternative learning model that is relevant in and current with the Blended Learning model. This training aims to improve the ability of teachers in teaching so that learning will run more effectively and become more professional teachers. This activity was carried out smoothly and well and enthusiastically by participants attended by all Muhammadiyah Cisalak Junior High School teachers and Tendik staff. This training uses a panel discussion method and hands-on practice of utilizing Google Classroom, creating Google Forms, and Google Drive as a storage medium that has a large capacity and is digital-based, and no longer needs to use a flash drive or external hard drive. The output of this activity will be provided with modules and video tutorials on the use of Google Apps for Education. This training activity takes place online through zoom meetings

Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency to understand the direction and development of global research trends on Qur’an learning in the context of improving the quality of Islamic education in the digital era. The lack of studies that comprehensively map the dynamics of global research related to Qur’an learning makes this study important as a basis for developing relevant, innovative, and sustainable Islamic education curricula. The main objective of this research is to analyze global scientific publications on Qur’an learning using a bibliometric analysis approach, as well as to identify core themes that contribute to achieving Quality Education (SDG 4). This study employs a descriptive quantitative method with the assistance of Biblioshiny (R Studio) software to map relationships between authors, keywords, and thematic trends based on publications in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases over the past two decades (2015–2025). The research results show that Qur’an learning research is rapidly developing, focusing on the integration of technology, Qur’anic pedagogy, and the enhancement of science-based spiritual literacy. Three main dimensions identified human, science, and curriculum serve as the foundation for integration in developing a contextual Islamic education curriculum in Indonesia. The novelty of this research lies in combining bibliometric analysis with a perspective on Islamic curriculum development based on global evidence, which has not been widely done in the literature. The contribution of this study not only enriches the academic discourse on Qur’an learning but also provides practical recommendations for curriculum designers, educational institutions, and policymakers in realizing an Islamic education that is adaptive to the demands of the times and quality-oriented.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan kepada masyarakat bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas literasi digital dan keterampilan pemasaran online bagi pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah pesisir di Pulau Pramuka, Kepulauan Seribu. Melalui pelatihan ini, peserta dibekali pengetahuan tentang penggunaan media digital, strategi pemasaran produk secara daring, serta pemanfaatan platform e-commerce untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Program ini juga diarahkan untuk mendukung pengembangan eduwisata bahari di Pulau Pramuka dengan memperkuat brand lokal dan meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM di pasar wisatawan domestik maupun internasional. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, workshop praktis, dan pendampingan digital. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peserta meningkat literasi digital dan kemampuan dalam mengelola pemasaran online secara lebih efektif. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan ekonomi lokal berbasis potensi pariwisata bahari yang berkelanjutan.
