Abstract

The objective of the study is to evaluate the learning implementation of the Nihongo Noryoku Shiken N5 course as a new course offered in the 2020 curriculum at the Japanese Language Education Study Program in UNNES. A goal-oriented evaluation model by Tyler was employed in the evaluation process to measure how far the learning goals that have been determined at the beginning of the lecture are achieved. This evaluative research relied on a quantitative descriptive approach; its steps comprised (1) data collection, (2) data processing and analysis, and (3) recommendation formulation. According to the evaluation results, the learning goals of Nihongo Noryoku Shiken N5 had been met, although it was not that significant. Several conditions cause such issues. (1) In the class, some students had good Japanese language skills; they claimed that the lesson was too easy, so their progress was not significant. (2) The evaluation instruments were not valid. (3) Other conditions, e.g., the implementation of online learning and tests, hindered classroom activities and monitoring. Improving the teaching and learning materials and evaluation instruments is recommended. Furthermore, some additions to the curriculum need to be considered, such as adding the credits for the grammar or Bunpo course.

Abstract

UKBM is a learning process which is arranged in a sequence ranging from an easy to a difficult one. In UKBM system of Japanese language, the students are provided Learning Text-books (BTP) in accordance with basic learning competence (KD). SMA 1 Salatiga is one of the schools that has been using UKBM, that is why it became the object of the research. This study aims to investigate the influence UKBM system towards the students’ learning outcomes in SMA 1 Salatiga. It was conducted by quantitative descriptive method with 73 students as respondents with proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data collection technique used documentation and questionnaires. The obtained were tested using the Product Moment and produced rhitung is greater than rtabel to a 5% (0.617> 0.227). The result of the calculations is 38%, which means that the application of UKBM in the learning process can influence on the students’ Japanese language learning outcomes by 38%, while the remaining of 62% is determined by other factors. Abstract

The purpose of learning Dokkai Sakubun, is no longer just being able to read and understand vocabulary, kanji, bunkei, hyogen and also use them in sentences. Along with its development, this course aims to make students able to apply the knowledge gained from reading activities into writing that can be expressed in everyday life. In this digital era, teachers can take advantage of all the information available in cyberspace as a source of teaching materials. This research is a descriptive study with the aim of utilizing online media as a source of teaching materials in the Dokkai Sakubun Shokyu Course and compiling teaching materials with sources from online media. This research method is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and direct observation. Questionnaires were given to determine students' perceptions of the use of teaching language sources from online media in learning Dokkai Sakubun Shokyu. Direct observations were made to strengthen the results of the questionnaire regarding the benefits of media in learning and compiling learning materials. The results showed that online media can be used as a source of teaching materials in the Dokkai Sakubun Shokyu Course. Teaching materials are selected based on predetermined topics in the form of videos sourced from YouTube, leaflets, famlets, brochures, tickets, restaurant menus, conversations in email or chat  and so on, then arranged in the form of handouts.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSemarang State University (UNNES) is a university with a conservation perspective so that in every policy and activity it is guided by conservation values. The entire UNNES academic community has the task of implementing every policy in everyday life both in and out of campus. Every activity must reflect conservation value which consists of three pillars, namely the conservation of character, culture, and the environment. It is also necessary to spread the spirit of conservation to the surrounding community. We carried out mentoring activities for making 4 panels comic strip (4 koma manga) with the theme of conservation value. The target of the activity is aimed at students of SMAN I Semarang as one of UNNES' partners. This comic-making activity was chosen with the consideration that based on a preliminary study, SMAN I Semarang students need activities related to their interest in comics. Thus, it is hoped that this activity, apart from spreading the spirit of conservation, will also become a promotional medium for the Japanese Language Education Study Program as one of the study programs at UNNES.  Keywords: Comic Strip, Kishoutenketsu, Manga, Conservation Value ABSTRAKUniversitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) merupakan universitas yang berwawasan konservasi sehingga dalam setiap kebijakan dan kegiatan yang ada di dalamnya berpedoman pada nilai-nilai konservasi. Segenap sivitas akademika UNNES mengemban tugas untuk melaksanakan setiap kebijakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik di dalam maupun luar kampus. Setiap langkah dan geraknya harus bernilaikan konservasi yang terdiri dari tiga pilar yaitu konservasi karakter, budaya, dan lingkungan. Selain itu perlu juga menyebarluaskan semangat konservasi kepada masyarakat di sekitarnya. Sebagai salah satu bentuk kegiatan ini tim melakukan kegiatan pembimbingan pembuatan komik strip 4 panel (4 koma man’ga) bertemakan nilai konservasi. Sasaran kegaiatan ditujukan kepada siswa SMAN I Semarang sebagai salah satu mitra kerja UNNES. Kegiatan pembuatan komik ini dipilih dengan pertimbangan bahwa berdasarkan studi pendahuluan, siswa SMAN I Semarang memerlukan kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan minat mereka terhadap komik. Dengan demikian diharapkan dengan kegiatan ini selain menyebarluaskan semangat konservasi juga menjadi media promosi Program Studi (Prodi) Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang sebagai salah satu prodi yang ada di UNNES. Kata Kunci: Komik Strip, Kishoutenketsu, Manga, Nilai konservasi

Abstract

ABSTRACTCharacter education is a hotly discussed issue among educators and the public. According to the observations by conducting visits and observations to schools in Japan, there is one concrete, simple, cheap and easy-to- find media in teaching students in schools to have good character. The media is keijibutsu, namely works in the form of pictures or writings that are affixed to the classroom walls. One form of keijibutsu applied at SD Maarif NU Mendiro Ungaran is “thank you” and “my target” written on "Post-it" paper. In the activity of making a ‘thank you’ note and “my target”, at firts, the students seemed to have difficulty expressing their gratitude (looking for what kindness they had received from other people) and what their short-term and long-term targets were. However, after mentoring and discussing with students, they were finally able to remember even the smallest kindnesses they had ever received. Then, from the activity of making targets, it can be concluded that students are not familiar with activities that are planned and based on targets. They usually carry out activities, especially learning at school, tend to accept whatever is taught or ordered by the teacher. This is a follow-up plan that will be carried out in the next community service activity. Keywords : Keijibutsu, Character education, Elementary school students, Arigatoo Post-it, My target ABSTRAKPendidikan karakter menjadi isu yang hangat dibicarakan di antara kalangan pendidik dan masyarakat. Menurut pengamatan dengan melakukan kunjungan dan observasi ke sekolah-sekolah di Jepang, ada salah satu media konkret dan sederhana serta murah dan mudah mendapatkannya dalam mengajarkan siswa- siswa di sekolah agar memiliki karakter yang baik. Media tersebut adalah keijibutsu yaitu karya berupa gambar ataupun tulisan yang ditempel pada dinding kelas. Salah satu bentuk Keijibutsu diterapkan di SD Maarif NU Mendiro Ungaran yaitu ucapan ‘terima kasih’ dan ‘targetku’ yang ditulis pada kertas “Post-it”. Pada kegiatan membuat ucapan ‘terima kasih’ dan ‘targetku’ ini pada awalnya siswa terlihat kesulitan mengungkapkan baik rasa terima kasih (mencari kebaikan apa yang pernah ia terima dari orang lain) dan apa target mereka baik jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Namun setelah dilakukan pendampingan dan diskusi dengan siswa, akhirnya mereka bisa mengingat kebaikan-kebaikan yang terkecil sekalipun yg pernah mereka terima. Kemudian, dari kegiatan membuat target dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa tidak terbiasa dengan kegiatan yang terencana dan berdasarkan target. Mereka biasanya melakukan kegiatan terutama belajar di sekolah cenderung menerima apa saja yang diajarkan atau diperintahkan guru. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang pembentukan kata ryakugo dalam variety show. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana pembentukan kata ryakugo dalam variety show. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah variety Kiramune Company episode 1 sampai 4 dan Itadaki High Jump episode 1 sampai 20. Data yang telah diambil, kemudian dianalisis untuk mengetahui terbentuk dari morfem apa saja kata tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori proses morfologis dari Nakayama. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penjelasan proses pembentukan ryakugo bahasa Jepang. Pembentukan dengan cara menghilangkan suku kata depan, belakang, tengah, tengah-belakang, dan alphabet, dari data yang ditemukan diklasifikasikan menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu zenbu shouryakukei. Koubu shouryakukei, chuubu shouryakukei, kousei yousou tanbun goukei, romaji ryakugo. Abstract This thesis discusses the changing forms of ryakugo in variety show. The purpose of this study was to describe how changes form of ryakugo in variety show. This study uses a data source in the form of variety show Kiramune Company 1st episode to 4th episode and variety show Itadaki High Jump 1st episode to 20th episode . Data was collected in the ryakugo form, then analyzed to identified the morphems of the form and how the morphological proceess in the form. This study using theory of morphology proceess by Nakayama. The results of this study is a descriptions of the processes of change in the Japanese of ryakugo. The formation of ryakugo by removing the syllabeles, front, back, center, middle-back, and alphabet, Of the data obtained can ben classified into five groups, it is zenbu shouryakukei. Koubu shouryakukei, chuubu shouryakukei, kousei yousou tanbun goukei, romaji ryakugo.

Abstract

Abstract In teaching practice process, a trainee should be able to interact with students well. Students are important element in learning process. Based on the preliminary results of the study by spreading questionnaire to the students, it was known that there was positive assessment and and negative assessment about the trainee. This study attempts to know the perception of students about trainee’s teaching skill. The sample was 10% of total students that were ever taught by the trainee in SMA N 1 Ungaran, SMA N 1 Salatiga, SMA N 5 magelang, SMA N 9 Semarang and SMA N 1 kendal. The data collection technique used the questionnaire. In this study, the result of the data was analyzed by using descriptive technique percentage. Based on the study result, the perception of students about trainee’s teaching skill in Department of Japanese Education at Semarang State University was high category (69,24%). Abstrak Pada proses pembelajaran ketika Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan berlangsung, mahasiswa praktikan harus mampu berinteraksi baik dengan siswa. Siswa merupakan unsur penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan dengan menyebarkan angket kepada siswa, diketahui bahwa ada penilaian positif dan ada pula penilaian negatif mengenai mahasiswa praktikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi siswa mengenai keterampilan mengajar mahasiswa praktikan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 10% dari total siswa yang pernah diajar oleh mahasiswa praktikan di SMA N 1 Ungaran, SMA N 1 Salatiga, SMA N 5 magelang, SMA N 9 Semarang dan SMA N 1 kendal. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Hasil data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa persepsi siswa mengenai keterampilan mengajar mahasiswa praktikan Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Unnes secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori tinggi (69,24%).

Abstract

The application of JF Standard in learning Japanese especially in the Sakubun Shochukyu course is new and needs to be evaluated how the achievement of it’s learning targets. This study aims to find out how the semester 3 students' abilities are in writing. The research uses a quantitative approach and the research data are discussed with descriptive techniques. To assess the results of student essays used essay grading rubric based on JF Standard with 4 grading levels namely ganbare, mousukoshi, dekimashita, and subarashii for each item assessed. The results showed that in general, the students' writing ability was in the "dekimashita" or “very good” category with the note that there were still some errors in using grammar. Statistically, 1 student has a very high ability, 4 students have high ability, 18 students have the medium ability, and the remaining 8 are students who have low ability.

Abstract

The study aimed to test the effectiveness of flashcards on the Memory learning web on improving students' Japanese vocabulary skills and students' responses to media. This research uses True Experimental Design with Posttest–Only Control Group Design. Data collection techniques using test methods and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used the Mann Whitney–U formula. The calculation results obtained an average value of 80.53 in the experimental group and 70.05 in the control group. The results of the Mann Whitney–U test were obtained by Asymp. Sig. (2–tailed) 0.031 < 0.05, indicating that the average score of the experimental group and control group students had a significant difference. It can be concluded that flashcards on the verified Memory learning web effectively increase students' Japanese vocabulary. Then from the questionnaire data, it can be seen that Memory has interesting multimedia features. However, the effectiveness of Memory has not given optimal effect. This is known from the difference in the score interval on the posttest results, which is too obvious, namely 93. The inequality is related to the independence and intensity of students using Memory which is still rare.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe 1) the level of Vocabulary and Kanji that students tend to use in essays measured based on JLPT standards and 2) the suitability of the level of Vocabulary and Kanji used by students in Japanese essays with the learning level that has been taken, namely N4. These two measurements utilize a corpus of data that has only been used for reading-learning purposes. This research uses a qualitative approach, and the data source is 53 students with data collection techniques, namely assignments to write essays with predetermined themes and questionnaires. The data analyzed is the vocabulary and Kanji students use in their essays. This research shows that students use 68.8% of N5-level vocabulary and 61% of N5-level Kanji in their essays. The findings from assessing the use of vocabulary and Kanji differ from their current learning level, namely level N4, which the highest percentage at this level should indicate. Thus, the target of students' ability to use N4-level vocabulary and Kanji at their current learning level has not been achieved.
