Abstract

The study aims to develop geometric instruments that can be used to improve geometry based on Van Hiele's cognitive level, which is integrated with Malay culture. This study's research design is the Research and Development (R D) proposed by Carson, which consists of several stages, namely: potential and problems, material collection, product design, product validity, product testing, product revision, and mass products. The subjects of this study were 65 students majoring in math education in the first semester. The test instruments were analyzed using Aiken's validity and Cronbach Alpha reliability. The trial analysis was analyzed using descriptive statistics to test students' abilities during three meetings. The data analysis showed that the test instruments were developed in valid and reliable categories. The instruments developed were descriptions in the valid and reliable categories. The instruments in the form of valid and reliable test descriptions can be used to obtain relevant data and improve geometric skills based on the Van Hiele Level, which is integrated with Malay Culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap kemandirian belajar matematika mahasiswa program studi matematika FKIP UIR Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 pada mata kuliah Aljabar Linear. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa matematika semester 3 (tiga) yang terdiri dari lima kelas, yaitu kelas 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D dan 3E. Sampel yang dipilih kelas 3B dan 3D. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik angket yang terlebih dahulu telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan strategi TPS dengan mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan konvensional dengan nilai Prestest (Sig 0,072) dan Postest (Sig 0,000 ). Selain itu, nilai kemandirian belajar mahasiswa pun berbeda antara kelompok eksperimen (Min. 85,76 dan SD. 7,47) dengan kelompok kontrol (Min. 83,97 dan SD 6,61). Maka dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran kooperatif dengan metode Think Pair Share (TPS) dapat mempengaruhi kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa program studi matematika FKIP UIR secara signifikan.

Abstract

This research aims to produce learning material through the Learning Obstacle analysis of mathematics education students in mathematical problem-solving skills in validated Linear Algebra courses. This type of research is research and development with 4D development model consists of 4 stages: Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. Learning materials in this research is LKM. The subjects of this were 40 students of the Mathematics Education Program at the Islamic University of Riau in the 2019/2020 academic year. In this research, the data used were the results of the validation questionnaire trial assessed by an expert called the validator. The data obtained will be analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the LKM-1 average overall validity of the validator is 70, including valid category. In LKM-2 the average validation and overall validation is 70, including valid category. In LKM-3 the average validation and overall validation is 100, including the category is very valid. And for the whole from LKM-1 to LKM-3 the average validator obtained 80 with a valid category. Overall the results of the research showed that the learning materials developed were feasible to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh bahan ajar berbasis pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP UIR Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen), dengan populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa matematika semester 3 (tiga). Kemudian, sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dimana kelas 6A dan 6B sebagai sampel penelitian yang artinya seluruh populasi menjadi sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan tes yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis inferensial digunakan dengan menghitung n-gain. Hasil penelitian ini adalah a) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbantuan bahan ajar dengan pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan bahan ajar secara keseluruhan (Sig 0,006 < 0,05); b) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbantuan bahan ajar dengan mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan bahan ajar berdasarkan level kognitif mahasiswa (Sig 0,006 < 0,05); c) terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran yang digunakan dengan level kognitif mahasiswa dari aspek kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (sig 0,045< 0,05). Sehingga kesimpulannya bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis pemecahan masalah secara sigifikan dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada mahasiswa program studi matematika FKIP UIR.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Realistic Mathematics Approach on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students of Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru with quasi-experimental. There are two classes that will be sampled, namely the experimental and control classes with purposive sampling as a data collection technique. The data collection method used is a test with descriptive and inferential statistical data analysis techniques. Descriptive statistical analysis technique was used to describe the power obtained from the measurement results of the dependent variable, namely learning outcomes, inferential statistical analysis techniques were used to analyze sample data (pre-test and post-test). The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pre-test for the experimental and control classes were 50.10 and 54.31, while the post-test averages for the experimental and control classes were 76.79 and 68.13. Abstract

This community service is motivated by many complaints of teachers who have difficulty in analyzing teacher-made questions to be used in evaluations. As a professional teacher we must make good questions and be able to analyze the questions to be used in the test. In addition, a teacher is also required to be proficient in using IT to support his work in the current era of globalization. Based on this, the community service needs to be held with the aim to assist teachers in preparing questions that are well used in evaluation. Long-term application of this activity is very beneficial for teachers and lecturers, teachers will be helped by the implementation of this service. For lecturers, this activity is needed as a form of implementation and fulfillment of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education). The form of activities carried out in this was training to use Bilog Software for questions analysis for Teachers of SMA Plus Binabangsa Pekanbaru. This service activity ran well which held in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year at Binabangsa High School Plus. In this activity the teachers was very enthusiastic in participating, the lecturer was also enthusiastic in teaching Bilog Software for Question Analysis. From this activity the teacher was greatly helped in analyzing the questions and making the evaluation process successful.

Abstract

The research aimed to produce a mathematical learning device based on contextual learning. This research uses the ADDIE model, which consists of 4 stages: the Analysis stage, the Design stage, the Development stage, and the Evaluation stage. The researcher did not use the Implementation (trial) stage in the ADDIE model because school learning in the 2019/2020 school year was carried out online. The data collection technique used a non-test technique, namely by using a validation sheet as a data collection instrument which was given to 4 validators consisting of 2 FKIP UIR lecturers and two mathematics teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The data analysis technique used is the quantitative descriptive analysis technique of ratio data. The results showed that the feasibility of learning tools in lesson plans had an average of 88.48% for the four validators. For LKPD, the average of the four validators was 90.83%, with very valid criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of learning tools based on contextual learning on the subject matter of the set is valid

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan self-efficacy siswa kelas VIII MTs YKWI Pekanbaru melalui Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kemandirian belajar matematika siswa melalui Penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Number Head Together (NHT). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIIIG SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016 pada materi kubus dan balok. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknik pengamatan dan teknik angket. Sedangkan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan angket kemandirian belajar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan proses pembelajaran di kelas yang ditandai dengan meningkatkatnya aktivitas belajar siswa pada lembar observasi. Peningkatan kemandirian belajar matematika siswa dapat dilihat dari skor dasar ke UH I, dari UH I ke UH II. Persentase kemandirian belajar siswa pada UH I adalah 52,61% dan pada UH II 75,29%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan kemandirian belajar matematika siswa kelas VIIIG SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016Kata kunci :Kemandirian Belajar Matematika ; Numbered Head Together (NHT)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type in improving students’ learning outcomes, social attitudes,and students’ motivation. This is a quasi-experimental study using control and experimental classes. The research instruments used in this study were tests and questionnaires. The data were analyzed by using Multivariate Analysis of Variants (MANOVA). Theresult of the analysis showed that there was a significant influence between the experimental class with cooperative learning of STAD type and the control class with conventional learning viewed from the learning outcomes, social attitudes, and motivation of the students. These results can be seen from the statistical value of Hotelling's Trace which was smaller than 0.05. Cooperative learning simultaneously could improve learning outcomes, social attitudes, and learning motivation of students of SMAN 1 Tebing Tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to produce teaching materials through the learning obstacle analysis of mathematics education students in mathematical problem solving ability in Linear Algebra Courses that are practically tested. This type of research is research and development. The subjects of this study were 40 students in the Mathematics Education Study Program at the Islamic University of Riau in the third semester of 2019/2020. In this study, the data used were the results of the validation questionnaire trial data that was assessed by experts called the validator. The data obtained will be analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of overall product trial results obtained was 91.86% with a very practical category. This means that the developed learning tool is very easy to use by students in the learning process and can also overcome student learning difficulties (learning obstacle) in this case the ability to solve mathematical problems in Linear Algebra. Overall the results of the study indicate that the learning tools developed are suitable for use and can improve student learning outcomes.
