Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determined whether there is a relationship of discpiline learning and way of learning method with biology learning outcomes based on the academic ability of class XI science students. Analysis of the data in this study using correlation analysis Person Product Moment. The results showed that for high academic, learning discipline (X1), the learning method (X2), with biology learning outcomes (Y) there is a high relationship (0,626). For medium academic, learning discipline (X1) the learning method (X2) with biology learning outcomes (Y) there is a medium relationship (0,509). For low academic, learning discipline (X1) the learning method (X2) with biology learning outcomes (Y) there is a medium relationship (0,523). Indicates a significant between way of learning discipline and learning method with result of biology study based on the academic ability of class XI science student.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interaction and single between the provision of growth regulators BAP and NAA to the proliferation of shoots of tomatoes in vitro. The design used in this research was complete randomized design (RAL). Parameters observed were: shoot age, shoot number, shoot height, percentage of sprout, percentage of roots grow and number of explants forming callus. The data of the observations were analyzed statistically, if F arithmetic was greater than F table, followed by 5% real honest difference test (BNJ). From the results of research interaction giving BAP and NAA have an effect on shoot height (cm) with the best treatment of B1N0 is 6,16. NAA had significant effect on shoot age (day) and shoot height (cm) with best treatment N0 (0 ppm), and root growth percentage with best treatment N3 (1 ppm).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara interaksi dan tunggal antara pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh BAP dan NAA terhadap perbanyakan tunas pucuk tomat secara in vitro. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Parameter yang diamati yaitu : umur muncul tunas, jumlah tunas, tinggi tunas, persentase tumbuh tunas, persentase tumbuh akar dan jumlah eksplan yang membentuk kalus. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik, bila F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel, dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut beda nyata jujur (BNJ) 5 %. Dari hasil penelitian secara interaksi pemberian BAP dan NAA berpengaruh terhadap parameter tinggi tunas (cm) dengan perlakuan tebaik B1N0 yaitu 6,16. NAA berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter umur muncul tunas (hari) dan tinggi tunas (cm) dengan perlakuan terbaik N0 (0 ppm), dan persentase tumbuh akar dengan perlakuan terbaik N3 (1 ppm).Kata kunci : BAP, In Vitro, NAA, perbanyakan tomat

Abstract

Nibung (O. tigillarium) is a type of palm that generally grows naturally and clumps like bamboo. Nibung (O. tigillarium) is designated as a flora identity originating from Riau Province. Nibung trees have long been used by the Riau community. Almost all parts of bamboo can be utilized, starting from the stem, fruit to the flower. Embryos contained in the fruit can be used as tissue culture explants as an alternative to multiply plants. Tissue culture is one of the approaches to farming that has been based on how to be created as a complement and allows for the improvement of the effectiveness and productivity of traditional and conventional farming methods. Tissue culture research using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and added growth regulating hormone IndolebutyricAcid (IBA) and NAA (Naphthalene Acetic Acid) which obtained results that the IBA and NAA hormones had significant or significant effect on the age of callus.Keywords: IBA hormone, NAA hormones, plant growth, tissue culture Nibung (O. tigillarium) merupakan sejenis palmae yang umumnya tumbuh secara alami dan berumpun seperti bambu. Nibung (O. tigillarium) ditetapkan menjadi identitas flora yang berasal dari Provinsi Riau. Pohon nibung telah lama dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Riau. Hampir semua bagian nibung dapat di manfaatkan, mulai dari batang, buah hingga bunganya. Embrio yang terdapat pada buahnya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai eksplan kultur jaringan sebagai salah satu alternatif perbanyakkan tanaman. Kultur jaringan adalah salah satu pendekatan budidaya pertanian yang sudah berpijak pada konsep ‘how to created’ yang melengkapi serta memungkinankan peningkatan efektifitas dan produktifitas cara-cara bertanam tradisional dan konvensional. Penelitian kultur jaringan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan ditambahkan zat pengatur tumbuh hormon Indolebutyric Acid (IBA) dan NAA (Naphthalene Acetic Acid) yang mendapatkan hasil bahwa hormon IBA dan NAA berpengaruh nyata atau signifikan terhadap umur muncul kalus.Kata kunci: hormon NAA, hormone IBA, kultur jaringan, tanaman

Abstract

This research on the development of tissue culture poster media using the ADDIE model has three stages, namely, analysis, design, and development. Determination of the sample of this study using the purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used a validation sheet by material experts and media experts and saw student responses to the poster developed by conducting a limited feasibility test. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results of this study are in the form of printed products, namely tissue culture posters. The results of validation by material experts indicate that the poster developed is very feasible to use with an average percentage of 95.83%. The results of the validation by media experts showed that the poster developed was very feasible to use with an average percentage of 97.36. The results of student responses from two classes get an average percentage of 95.31% (very feasible). Based on the validation results from the experts, the product in the form of a tissue culture poster is very feasible to be used in the learning process. Penelitian pengembangan media poster kultur jaringan ini menggunakan model ADDIE memiliki tiga tahap yaitu, analisis, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Penentuan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media serta melihat respon mahasiswa terhadap poster yang dikembangkan dengan melakukan uji coba kelayakan terbatas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah berupa produk cetak yaitu poster kultur jaringan. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa poster yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan ratarata persentase 95,83%. Hasil  validasi oleh ahli media menunjukkan bahwa poster yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dengan rata-rata persentase 97,36. Hasil respon mahasiswa dari dua kelas mendapatkan rata-rata persentase 95,31% (sangat layak).  Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari para ahli diperoleh produk berupa poster kultur jaringan yang sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata kunci: kultur jaringan, nibung, penelitian pengembangan, poster DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jbt.v10i1.24224

Abstract

The research about morphological characterization of mascot flora of Riau (Oncosperma tigillarium) which was developmented as a teaching material for Plant Botany subjects. The objective of this research was to find out of the profile of nibung (Oncosperma tigillarium) and to find out how the result of this study developed for teaching materials (based on module). The method of current study was descriptive. Purposive sampling used to sampling of nibung in Temiang, Bengkalis Disctrict, Riau Propince. The result showed that nibung has several characteristics which can be observed, such as habit, vegetative and generative organs of nibung, which is used to identify of unique morphology of nibung character. Based on the validation results, it is known that the module that have been prepared can be used in the learning with percentage level achievement of 84.35% for teaching materials. The subject matter of Plant Botany which has been prepared based on the research results can be used in the learning process that categorized very good.Penelitian ini mengenain karakteristik morfologi tumbuhan khas Riau yaitu nibung (Oncosperma tigillarium) yang dikembangkan untuk bahan ajar pada mata kuliah Botani Tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil tumbuhan nibung dan bagaimana hasil pengembangan bahan ajarnya (berbasis modul). Metode yang digunkaan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang dilaksanakan di Temiang, Bengkalis, Provinsi Riau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nibung memiliki beberapa karakteristik yang dapat diobservasi, seperti habitat, vegetasi, dan organ genertif yang dapat digunakan dalam mengidentifikasi morfologi khas dari nibung. Berdasarkan haisl validasi, modul yang dikembangkan sebagai bahan ajar dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan persentase tingkat kesuksesan sebesar 84,35%. Materi pada bahan ajar dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran pada Botani Tinggi dalam penelitian ini yang menunjukkan proses pembelajaran dengan kategori sangat baik.Kata kunci: analisis morfologi, pengembangan modul, tumbuhan nibung

Abstract

The development of science and technology challenge teachers to pay a great effort in creating an effective media. The aim of this study was to produce audio-visual learning media based on video documentary explanation of orchid plants (Dendrobium bigibbum) on tissue culture material. This research was conducted on July 2019. This R&D used the ADDIE model without implementation phase. The data collection instruments used were validation sheets and student questionnaire responses. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage.  The evaluation results of the audiovisual learning media based on video documentary tissue culture showed that it was considered as very feasible to be used with an average percentage score of 87.50% by tissue culture expert, 91,87% by learning media expert, 91.66% by the teachers, and 94.37% by the students. The effectiveness of the learning media developed need to be ensured by conducting the implementation phase.

Abstract

Penelitian tahap pengembangan peneliti menggunakan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli pembelajaran serta melihat respon dosen dan mahasiswa terhadap modul yang dikembangkan dengan melakukan uji coba terbatas. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan mendapatkan rata-rata persentase 85,75% (sangat valid). Hasil validasi oleh ahli pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan mendapatkan rata-rata persentase 87,74% (sangat valid). Modul yang dikembangkan ini mendapat tanggapan sangat baik dari dosen dengan rata-rata persentase 94,62% (sangat baik). Modul yang dikembangkan ini juga mendapat tanggapan sangat baik dari mahasiswa dengan rata-rata persentase 85,44% (baik).  Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari para ahli diperoleh produk berupa modul kultur jaringan yang sangat valid untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The module is one of the alternative teaching materials that can help students or educators in the learning and teaching process. This study aims to examine the validity of the tissue culture module of the moon orchid (Phalaenopsis amabilis L.) using leaf explants and the hormone Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA), which was developed at the Biology Faculty of the Islamic University of Riau. This study uses the ADDIE model with several stages: analysis, design, and development. These research results are a printed product, namely a tissue culture module. This research data was obtained from the validation results by material experts, learning experts, and response tests with lecturers and 16 2015 school year students who had taken the tissue culture course. The validation results by material experts showed that the module developed got an average percentage of 86.45% (very valid). Learning experts got an average percentage of 87.74% (very valid). This developed module received very valid responses from lecturers and students. It can be seen from the average response of lecturers 95.48% (very good) and students with an average percentage of 90.31% (very good). Based on the validation results from the experts, the product in the form of a tissue culture module is very valid to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The method of this research is a survey which conducted to collect information carried out by compiling a list of questions submitted to respondents. Commonly, survey research is used to examine all a group or individual behavior. Collecting the data using observation and interview sheets. Data collection uses observation sheets based on Minister of National Education Regulation No.24 of 2007. The private junior high schools In Pekanbaru city, laboratory profile resulted in complete criteria on average based on the completeness of science and biology laboratory facilities and infrastructure at five private junior high schools. At Private Middle School of Dwi Sejahtera obtained a score of 55.88% (Complete). Furthermore, the percentage of Private Middle School of Bhayangkari was obtained at 77.4% (Very Complete). At Private Junior High School of Yabri, the percentage obtained was 53.58% (Complete) and Private Junior High School of Technology obtained a percentage of 1.42% (Very Incomplete), then Private Junior High School of Insan Utama obtained a percentage of 54% (Complete).Keywords: Laboratory Profile of Science / Biology, Teacher Competence of Laboratory

Abstract

Pengembangan media pembelajaran  berbasis video dokumenter ini  termasuk kedalam Research and Development (R&D). Untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran  berbasis video dokumenter dengan menerapkan sistem hidroponik untuk materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang valid. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Desember sampai Mei 2021. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan tahapan 4D (Four-D) yang terdiri dari Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Development (pengembangan), dan Disseminate (Penyebarluasan). Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu berupa lembar validasi dan angket respon siswa yang sudah divalidasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling yaitu teknik yang digunakan dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan mendapatkan rata – rata persentase 80,00% (cukup valid). Hasil validasi oleh ahli media pembelajaran mendapatkan rata – rata persentase 97,50% (sangat valid). Hasil validasi juga diperoleh dari tiga guru biologi dengan rata – rata persentase 97,77% (sangat valid). Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini mendapat tanggapan sangat baik oleh peserta didik pada tiga sekolah dengan rata – rata persentase 93,47 (baik sekali). Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan respon peserta didik diperoleh produk media pembelajaran  berbasis video dokumenter dengan menerapkan sistem hidroponik yang sangat valid untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran
