Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a trending topic of conversation for the past year until now, this pandemic has changed various aspects of human life today, especially in the world of education. This causes students' failure to understand mathematical concepts and students' lack of interest in learning. This study aims to describe students' learning interest in the use of E-comic media in social arithmetic material during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The sample of the research was the seventh grade students of SMP which consisted of 15 students who were taken randomly. The instrument used in this study is a non-test instrument in the form of a student learning interest questionnaire distributed using Google Form in social arithmetic learning using E-comic which consists of 20 statements as a reference to determine students' interest in learning in the use of E-comic media. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the use of E-comic learning media is effective on student learning interest during the Covid-19 pandemic with the percentage results80.67% classified as very high criteria. So that the E-comic learning media is very effectively used as a medium for learning mathematics to increase student interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.Keywords: analysis, E-comic, social arithmetic, covid-1 pandemic

Abstract

The study aims to develop geometric instruments that can be used to improve geometry based on Van Hiele's cognitive level, which is integrated with Malay culture. This study's research design is the Research and Development (R D) proposed by Carson, which consists of several stages, namely: potential and problems, material collection, product design, product validity, product testing, product revision, and mass products. The subjects of this study were 65 students majoring in math education in the first semester. The test instruments were analyzed using Aiken's validity and Cronbach Alpha reliability. The trial analysis was analyzed using descriptive statistics to test students' abilities during three meetings. The data analysis showed that the test instruments were developed in valid and reliable categories. The instruments developed were descriptions in the valid and reliable categories. The instruments in the form of valid and reliable test descriptions can be used to obtain relevant data and improve geometric skills based on the Van Hiele Level, which is integrated with Malay Culture.

Abstract

This study aims to produce mathematics learning tools in the form Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD) using a Problem Based Learning (PBL) mathematics learning model on social arithmetic material for class VII tested valid. Development of learning tools in this study uses the method R&D development using the modified ADDIE model into 3 stages, namely: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development. In the ADDIE model, the researcher does not use the Implementation stage and the Evaluation stage because at the moment it is still in the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic. The data collections instruments in this study were the RPP validation sheets, and the LKPD validation sheet. The data collection technique used is validation data from 2 Mathematics Education Lecturers FKIP UIR and 2 Mathematics Teachers at MTs Al-Multazam Kerubung Jaya. The analytical techniqueused is validation data analysis. From the results of the study, the result of the RPP validation were 86,83% with a very valid validation level category and 81,54% LKPD validation results with a fairly valid validation level category. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the development of mathematics learning tools baseb on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the sevent grade social arithmetic material has been tested for validity.

Abstract

Di situasi saat ini yaitu Covid-19 meyebabkan seluruh pembelajaran dilakukan secara online. Dalam proses pembelajaran daring banyak kendala yang dialami terutama terhadap siswa, yang menyebabkan kurangnya minat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran matematika secara optimal. Sehubung dengan hal tersebut, guru harus memiliki berbagai cara untuk membangkitkan motivasi siswa ketika mengikuti pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Salah satunya adalah menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yaitu Macromedia Flash 8. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap penggunaan macromedia flash 8 di masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitiannya yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, sampel penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas X SMKN Pertanian Terpadu Provinsi Riau yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data didapat melalui google form yang berisikan pernyataan meliputi 4 aspek penilaian macromedia flash 8 yakni perhatian, relevansi, percaya diri, dan kepuasan. Pada hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya dampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan macromedia flash 8 sebagai media pembelajaran dimasa pandemi dengan persentase rata-rata 71,5%. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwasanya macromedia flash 8 bisa menjadi media pembelajaran matematika di masa pandemi, karena memiliki berbagai keunggulan yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Oxidation of ferrous sulphate to ferric sulphate was conducted in an agitated reactor using cuprisulphate as catalyst. This experiment was performed at ferrous sulphate initial concentration of 0.4 N,reaction temperature of 40-90 C, agitator speed of 220-400 rpm, volumetric rate of gas of 31.94-61.56mL/s. Mass transfer coefficient and reaction rate constant were calculated by using Runge-Kutta andHooke-Jeeves method.Based on the experimentally result, the value of maximum conversion obtained was 30.71% atreaction temperature of 70 C, agitator speed of 290 rpm, and volumetric rate of gas of 40.26 mL/s.Evaluation of mass transfer coefficient and reaction rate constant revealed that the step of controlling theoverall process is chemical reaction.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran yang monoton dan kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran menjadi salah satu alasan kurang efektifnya proses pembelajaran dan antusiasme peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu melakukan inovasi dalam pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan salah satu  media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang tepat agar proses pembelajaran menjadi efektif dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan mengetahui kevalidan  produk yang dikembangkan berupa media pembelajaran flipbook dengan model discovery learning pada materi trigonometri untuk  kelas XI SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan desain sesuai teori Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi, dengan tahapan: 1) potensi dan masalah; 2) pengumpulan data; 3) desain produk; 4) validasi desain; 5) revisi desain. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen non tes yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik angket berupa lembar validasi media pembelajaran flipbook dengan menggunakan skala likert. Produk ini divalidasi oleh 4 validator yang terdiri dari 2 dosen pandidikan matematika Universitas Islam Riau dan 2 guru matematika SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa media pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan dilihat dari hasil validitas gabungan yang menunjukkan bahwa media berada dalam kriteria “Valid” dengan skor 78,01 %, juga dilihat dari segi aspek penilaian media pembelajaran ini berada ada kriteria “Valid” dengan skor 75,99 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan media pembelajaran flipbook dengan model discovery learning pada materi trigonometri yang telah dikembangkan ini layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

In order to measure the achievement of students’ competencies, a teacher needs to have the skills to develop various forms of good instruments. One form of the instruments is a test with questions. To have a good instrument, it needs to be analyzed by testing the content validity, construct validity and the reliability of the questions.In compiling the test questions, the plan is also called a grid question that will provide directional guidance. In principle, the grid question that will be carried out is necessary for the expected outcome to be achieved. A careful and conceptual grid question is a guarantee for a teacher in measuring the students’ learning mastery with relevant and representative. If the students' abilities are measurable, information on academic ability and achievement of learning objectives can be obtained. The compiling of the grid question was the solution to the problem above. It was due to the grid question covered the scope and the content of the material to be tested. Therefore, it was necessary to implement an activity of making grid question for teachers of PGRI High School. The method of this activity was a workshop for high school teachers in compiling grid question. The results of this community service show that the motivation and the awareness of teachers about the importance of making good, valid, and reliable grid question were increased.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is very important for mathematics teachers. Therefore, this service activity aims to provide participants with an understanding of the importance of honing critical thinking skills for mathematics teachers. This service was carried out on Tuesday June, 30 2020 and was carried out through the application Zoom Meeting and live YouTube Mathematics Education FKIP UIR. The method used in the implementation of this community service activity is the percentage method to convey material, the question and answer method and the discussion method. The instrument used was a percentage of service material slides. The results of this service activity can be said to be quite good. This can be seen from the responses of teachers who begin to understand the importance of critical thinking skills. This service activity has the benefit of making the teacher more eager to hone their critical thinking skills so that they can do better and be useful for students.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi banyaknya pertanyaan guru-guru baik di Negeri maupun di Swasta yaitu yang menginginkan pendalaman pengetahuan terkait desain media pembelajaran Matematika selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yang menghasilkan Peserta didik saat ini dituntut untuk bisa berkontribusi secara luas tentang lingkungan global dan mengerti akan pengembangan sistem pendidikan berkepanjangan atau konstan dimasa sekarang dan masa akan datang. Pendidikan pembangunan konstan mengharuskan masing – masing siswa menguasai pengetahuan, keterampilan, etika dan tingkat pembentukan konstan dimasa akan datang. Berdasarkan inilah pengabdian perlu dilakukan dengan tujuan memotivasi guru-guru dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran matematika agar selalu siap menghasilkan peserta didik yang selalu siap mengisi pembangunan yang berkelanjutan sekarang dan masa depan serta mampu menjawab pertanyaan tentang “Bagaimana matematika dapat berkontribusi dalam mewujudkan kehidupan yang berkelanjutan”. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah termotivasinya guru-guru dalam mendesain media pembelajaran matematika dengan tujuan mengarahkan peserta didik dengan kawasan yang benar adalah jalan keluar agar dapat menghidupkan karakter di aspek ekonomi, sosial dan budaya serta lingkungan.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menggunakan program atau software dalam pembelajaran maupun untuk pengembangan professional diri. Padahal sebagai guru pada saat ini dituntut untuk mampu menguasai teknologi sebagai salah satu bentuk penguasaan kompetensi professional. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan dan memberikan pendampingan kepada para guru SMP/MTs hususnya di SMP Nurul Falah Kulim dalam memahami dan menggunakan program SPSS untuk mendukung pembelajaran dan analisis data penelitian. Dengan diberikannya workshop dan pelatihan ini, diharapkan para guru dapat mengaplikasikan hasil dari kegiatan untuk meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dan pengembangan diri. Kegaiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom Meeting yang diikuti oleh 56 peserta yang berasal dari sekolah Mitra dan luar. Adapun target dari kegiatan ini adalah: (1)Guru menguasai pemahaman terkait ICT, khususnya beberapa software yang dapat digunakan secara gratis dari internet untuk membantu proses pembelajaran dan analisis data, (2) Guru mampu menganalisis data dengan menggunakan software yang telah ada berupa aplikasi program SPSS., dan (3) menghasilkan produk berupa deskripsi contoh analisis data sampel sebagai bahan acuan untuk latihan mandiri dalam menganalisi data penelitian yang sesungguhnya. Adapun luaran darikegiatan ini adalah publikasi artikel dalam bentuk jurnal ilmiah nasional terakreditasi. Kata Kunci : analisis data, ICT, program SPSS The implementation of this activity is motivated by the fact that there are still many teachers who have difficulty to using programs or software in learning and for personal professional development. Even though as a teacher at this time they are required to be able to be master technology as a form of mastering professional competence. Therefore, this community activity aims to provide socialization and assistance to SMP / MTs teachers especially at Nurul Falah Kulim Middle School in understanding and using the SPSS program to support learning and analysis of research data. By providing these workshops and trainings, it is hoped that teachers can apply the results of activities to improve the quality and quality of learning in schools and personal development. This PKM activity was carried out online through the Zoom Meeting application which was attended by 56 participants from partner schools and outside. The objectives of this activity are: (1) Teachers master ICT-related understanding, in particular some software that can be used for free from the internet to help the learning process and data analysis, (2) Teachers are able to analyze data using existing software in the form of the SPSS program application, and (3) produce a product in the form of a description of an example of data analysis as a reference for independent training in analyzing actual research data. The output of this activity is the publication of articles in the form of accredited national scientific journals. Keyword : analysis data, ICT, SPSS program
