Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the extent of students' creativity in history learning, specifically in the subject of History (Specialization), at SMAN 4 Yogyakarta, through the utilization of technology such as Canva. This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach. The analysis of project-based creativity assessment that will be examined includes the validity test, reliability test, and expert judgment, using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 22.0 as supporting tools. The research findings indicate that the project-based creativity assessment was conducted with 72 data from a total of 144 students in grade 10 and 11. The students assessed each other, and then the teachers evaluated the students. The validity level (exceeding the critical value) of the assessment of creativity, as evaluated among students, was deemed valid in terms of planning, implementation, and reporting aspects. However, in the evaluation conducted by the teachers, the planning aspect was considered invalid, while the implementation and reporting aspects were valid. The inter-rater reliability of the data among students was 0.693, and among teachers was 0.584, indicating reliability. The expert judgment test, conducted through a questionnaire answered by experts regarding the statements, indicated that the instrument was deemed suitable for use. The analysis of the project assessment results, in measuring creativity through the utilization of technology with Canva, is highly recommended as it can enhance creativity in history.

Abstract

Current history learning, in general, still uses a conventional approach with students learning in class through lectures, questions and answers, and assignments. Traditional history learning results in students only working procedurally and understanding history without reasoning, which tends towards behavioral and structuralist psychology and places more emphasis on memorization and practice. This approach uses a qualitative approach with descriptive data. In discussing the problem in this article, the author uses a type of library research. Teachers can take advantage of advances in information technology by using learning media. Quizizz is one of the media innovations in history learning assessment activities. Digital media as a learning assessment has experienced significant development. Digital media offers various educational innovations that replace rigid and monotonous conventional learning and assessment, which will be replaced with learning that is considered more practical, flexible, and not limited by space and time using digital media. Quizizz can be a good and fun assessment of history learning while maintaining the essence of ongoing learning. This assessment can involve active student participation from the start. Apart from that, the demands in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 have changed various sectors of life, including the education sector, which needs to be reoriented to determine the direction of education policy to answer the challenges of Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

Wayang is a cultural heritage of the ancestors of the Indonesian people which is estimated to have existed since ±1500 years BC. In Java, shadow puppets are used and utilized to spread the preaching of Islamic teachings. The spread of Islam in Java is inseparable from the role of the Wali Sango in spreading Islamic teachings. Thanks to the saints Islam was able to flourish in the life of society. This study aims to, (1) know the history of shadow puppets, (2) explain the role of wayang kuit as a medium for spreading Islam in Java, (3) explain the spread of Islam in Java, (4), know the role of walisanga in spreading Islam in Java. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive methods. The conclusion that can be drawn is that wayang has been around since before the existence of Hindhu Buddhism, in its development shadow puppets were used for the spread of Islam, especially on the island of Java. In its dissemination, there is a role of walisangas, one of which is Sunan Kalijaga who spread Islamic teachings with the media of Wayang Kulit.

Abstract

This research aims to focus on analysing how website-based SKP in Medan City to form Smart ASN is carried out. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, direct observation or observation, and documentation. Researchers used interactive model analysis as an analysis technique in this study. Data analysis begins with reviewing all available data from various sources. After reviewing, the next step is data reduction, unit arrangement, categorisation, and data interpretation. Data presentation was done with narrative text and pictures. The last stage is conclusion drawing or verification, where researchers express conclusions from the data obtained during the data collection. The results showed that the Medan City Government had encouraged organisational success through professional ASN HR performance management. One method is a measurable employee performance appraisal system using a website-based online SKP management system. The Medan City Government's working mechanism follows the Agile work scale concept. ASN core values become a strong foundation for strengthening work culture and become a guide in implementing ASN performance management to support the implementation of e-government towards Smart ASN. Smart ASN is a digital talent and leader supporting bureaucratic transformation in Indonesia. On the other hand, there are weaknesses when giving assessments to ASN by other ASN colleagues that are often not realised, namely the existence of a culture of reluctance in giving assessments. As a recommendation, coordination with the central government can overcome the overlapping management systems implemented to make it easier for ASNs to achieve their performance targets

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of inquiry-based interactive pedagogical learning strategies in improving students' engagement and knowledge retention in controversial history lessons. The research method used was mixed methods. The research was conducted in five schools in Yogyakarta and Bantul, with the research population consisting of 500 students and 10 history teachers divided into experimental and control classes. The research instruments used included the use of the Engagement Measurement Tool and Knowledge Retention Test to collect quantitative data, as well as classroom observations and interviews to collect qualitative data. The validity of the instruments was tested through an expert panel and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), while reliability was measured using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. Quantitative data was analysed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA tests to compare the improvement in engagement and knowledge retention between the experimental and control classes. Qualitative data were analysed using thematic analysis method to identify patterns and main themes. The results showed that students in the experimental class experienced significant increases in engagement (20percent) and knowledge retention (25percent), compared to smaller increases in the control class (5percentand 8percentrespectively). Observations and interviews supported these findings by showing that students in the experimental class were more active and motivated in learning history. This research contributes to existing knowledge by providing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of inquiry-based interactive pedagogical learning strategies, as well as offering practical implications for educators and policy makers to improve the quality of history education. The findings also highlight the need for further research covering a wider population and various educational contexts to understand the sustained impact of this teaching strategy. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas strategi pembelajaran pedagogis interaktif berbasis inkuiri dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan retensi pengetahuan dalam pelajaran sejarah kontroversial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalahmetode campuran. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lima sekolah di Yogyakarta dan Bantul, dengan populasi penelitian terdiri dari 500 siswa dan 10 guru sejarah yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi penggunaan Alat Pengukuran Keterlibatan dan Tes Retensi Pengetahuan untuk mengumpulkan data kuantitatif, serta observasi kelas dan wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data kualitatif. Validitas instrumen diuji melalui panel ahli dan analisis faktor konfirmatori (CFA), sementara reliabilitas diukur menggunakan koefisien Cronbach’s Alpha. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji ANOVA untuk membandingkan peningkatan keterlibatan dan retensi pengetahuan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Data kualitatif dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tema utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa di kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam keterlibatan (20persen) dan retensi pengetahuan (25persen), dibandingkan dengan peningkatan yang lebih kecil di kelas kontrol (5persendan 8persen masing-masing). Observasi dan wawancara mendukung temuan ini dengan menunjukkan bahwa siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih aktif dan termotivasi dalam belajar sejarah. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengetahuan yang ada dengan memberikan bukti empiris tentang efektivitas strategi pembelajaran pedagogis interaktif berbasis inkuiri, serta menawarkan implikasi praktis bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sejarah. Temuan ini juga menyoroti kebutuhan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut yang mencakup populasi yang lebih luas dan berbagai konteks pendidikan untuk memahami dampak berkelanjutan dari strategi pengajaran ini.

Abstract

Untuk memenuhi tuntutan sumberdaya manusia yang unggul dan kompeten di bidangnya, maka guru harus membekali dirinya dengan ilmu-ilmu yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan. Hal ini dimungkinkan dengan diberinya kebebasan beraktivitas dan berkreativitas selama batas-batas wajar tertentu. Guru dituntut untuk belajar banyak, bukan hanya dari proses kegiatan belajar mengajar saja, tetapi juga dari kegiatan-kegiatan di luar yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensinya. Oleh karena itu, Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah FKIP Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta mengadakan kegiatan “Diklat Penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah guru MGMP Sejarah MA se-DI Yogyakarta”. Peserta pada kegiatan tersebut adalah guru-guru sejarah yang berjumlah sejumlah 53 guru. Kegiatan tersebut berlangsung selama lima hari dan dilanjutkan dengan penugasan secara mandiri terstruktur. Selain mendapatkan pengetahuan baru, peserta diklat juga berkesempatan untuk berinteraksi dan berdiskusi dengan rekan sejawat, yang dapat membuka wawasan dan menambah inspirasi dalam mengembangkan metode pengajaran. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya berfokus pada teori, tetapi juga pada praktik langsung yang memungkinkan para guru untuk mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang mereka peroleh selama diklat. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, diharapkan para guru dapat lebih termotivasi dalam menciptakan karya tulis ilmiah dan inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah mereka. Setelah kegiatan berakhir, para peserta mendapatkan sertifikat setara 32 JP yang dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan profesi. Sertifikat ini merupakan bentuk pengakuan atas komitmen dan usaha mereka dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sebagai guru. Melalui kegiatan semacam ini, MGMP Sejarah MA se-DI Yogyakarta berharap dapat terus mendukung dan mendorong para guru untuk terus berkembang dan berinovasi, sehingga dapat menciptakan generasi muda yang unggul dan kompeten di masa depan.
