Abstract

Conduit (pipes) in reinforced concrete columns is still used to date. ACI 318M-95 code limits the hole up to maximum 4% of the column cross sectional area. If the percentage is more than 4%, its effect toward its strength should be considered. But the Code does not mention the effect of the hollow cross section on the ductility. This study was done by testing hollow and solid columns with variation as follows: single stirrup ratio = 0.0184, double stirrup ratio = 0.0276, longitudinal steel ratio = 0.0252, concrete compression strength f’c = 26 MPa, column cross-section b = h = 200 mm, column length L = 1100 mm, hole-ratio (0%, 4.53%, 7.07%). Both ends of the column are loaded by constant axial compression load of 0.12f’cAg = 12,5 ton, lateral loads are applied at 1/3 and 2/3 points to produce moments. The observed variables are moment and curvature ductility. The result of the study shows that the 4% hollow column still has the same moment strength as the solid one. This experiment also indicates that its curvature ductility is within the range of 6.14    8.49, thus showing that the columns should be considered as limited ductile structure. If the hole-ratio is more than 4%, however, a decrease in the curvature ductility will be found. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Sampai saat ini masih ditemui pemakaian konduit (pipa-pipa) pada kolom beton bertulang, sehingga penampang kolom menjadi berlubang. Peraturan ACI 318M-95 membatasi besarnya lubang maksimum 4%, apabila persentase lubang  4%, maka besarnya lubang harus diperhitungkan terhadap pengaruh kekuatannya. Peraturan tersebut tidak menyinggung pengaruh lubang terhadap daktilitas kolom berlubang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membuat benda uji kolom berlubang dan tak berlubang dengan variasi: rasio sengkang tunggal = 0,0184; rasio sengkang rangkap = 0,0276; rasio tulangan memanjang = 0,0252; f’c = 26 MPa, penampang kolom = b x h = 200 mm x 200 mm, panjang kolom = L = 1100 mm, rasio lubang (0%; 4,53%; 7,07%), pada kedua ujung kolom diberikan Paksial-tekan konstan 0,12f’cAg = 12,5 ton, diberikan pula beban lateral terletak 1/3 & 2/3 bentang kolom untuk menimbulkan momen. Variabel yang diamati berupa momen dan daktilitas kurvatur. Hasil penelitian tentang kekuatan momen kolom berlubang 4% masih menunjukkan kekuatan yang sama dengan kolom tak berlubang. Eksperimen ini juga mendapatkan daktilitas kurvatur rentang 6,14,8,49 (termasuk daktilitas terbatas). Jika rasio lubang melebihi 4%, maka akan menurunkan daktilitas kurvatur

Abstract

Indonesia termasuk daerah rawan bencana gempa bumi. Bencana ini bukan hanya mengancam infrastuktur tetapi juga mengakibatkan timbulnya korban jiwa manusia, kerusakan lingkungan, kerugian harta benda, dan dampak psikologis. Untuk itu, rancang bangun elemen struktur sangat diperlukan, seperti rancang bangun balok beton bertulang. Studi dilakukan terhadap rancang bangun isian pasangan bata merah (IPBM) yang dimasukkan di tengah penampang balok selebar penuh arah melintang ke arah memanjang balok. IPBM ini sampai saat ini masih dianggap sebagai bagian dari non-engineered building. Hasil studi pada penelitian ini justru menunjukkan hasil bahwa IPBM memberi kontribusi pada kekuatan dan kekakuan balok IPBM. Kekuatannya meningkat 4,10% sedang kekakuannya meningkat sebesar 15,64%, sehingga selayaknya jika IPBM bukan hanya dianggap sebagai bagian dari non-engineered building namun bisa berkontribusi secara struktural.

Abstract

The lack of understanding among the community in preparing the Budget Plan (RAB) for construction projects often creates obstacles in project implementation in Kelurahan Ketintang, Surabaya. The Community Service Program (PKM) by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) aims to enhance the understanding of the community in RT.03 RW.04 Kelurahan Ketintang in preparing the RAB using Microsoft Excel. This program is conducted in three stages: introduction and socialization, technical guidance, and evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in participants' understanding, with the average score increasing from 42.37 in the pre-test to 63.37 in the post-test, reflecting an average increase of 20.99%. This demonstrates that the program is effective in assisting the community to understand and apply the preparation of the RAB more accurately and efficiently. The program is also expected to support better local infrastructure development and strengthen the relationship between the university and the community.

Abstract

In accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 9 of 2016 concerning the Revitalization of Vocational High Schools (SMK) in the context of Improving the Quality and Competitiveness of Indonesian Human Resources (HR), it is necessary to compile a map of labor needs for SMK graduates according to their respective duties, functions, and authorities based on the road map for vocational development. One of the targeted developments is the skill of using computer applications in accordance with its basic competencies. Currently, engineering mechanics lessons at SMKN 2 Surabaya are only given theoretically. The use of computer applications to help solve existing problems has not been implemented. Even though work challenges today really require these skills to solve more complicated problems, more quantities, and faster solutions. Based on the above, this PKM activity aims to improve students' ability to use SAP2000 applications to solve engineering mechanics problems. The training provided includes an introduction to the basic use of SAP2000 including the use of the menus in it. Followed by the practice of working on example problems along with discussing their theoretical validation. After that, exercises for more complicated problems are given which end with giving quizzes to further motivate students. From the post-test results given at the end of the training, the results showed that 85.58% of trainees could understand the training material well. This shows that this training is very effective in improving students' abilities which is expected to bring benefits as a provision to face work challenges after graduation.

Abstract

Marine concrete is used for structures in marine environments that are susceptible to chemical attacks such as sulfates and chlorides. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding 7% silica fume on the compressive strength of marine concrete soaked in seawater. The experimental research method was carried out by making 12 concrete cylinder samples (diameter 15 cm × height 30 cm), consisting of two variations: concrete without silica fume and concrete with 7% silica fume. Compressive strength testing refers to SNI 03-1974-1990 and ASTM C39, with seawater immersion for 50 days and testing at the ages of 14, 28 and 50 days. The results showed that concrete with 7% silica fume achieved an average compressive strength of 39.90 MPa at the age of 28 days, higher than concrete without silica fume (37.64 MPa). This increase is due to the pozzolanic reaction of silica fume which fills the pores of the concrete and forms calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) compounds, increasing the density of the concrete matrix. The slump value of both concrete variations is stable at 12 cm, meeting the planned workability criteria. This study states that the addition of 7% silica fume is effective in increasing the compressive strength and resistance of marine concrete to the marine environment. Recommendations include the use of silica fume for marine structures, strict supervision in mixing materials, and optimization of mixing time to prevent too fast setting time. This study contributes to the development of environmentally friendly concrete with high durability in coastal areas.

Abstract

SMK PGRI 1 Ngawi menghadapi tantangan dalam peningkatan keterampilan siswa khususnya dalam pemanfaatan perangkat lunak di bidang desain konstruksi. Terbatasnya fasilitas serta kurangnya pelatihan penggunaan perangkat berbasis digital, merupakan tantangan dalam mempersiapkan lulusan menghadapi industri konstruksi modern. Melalui program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) berjudul “Pelatihan Desain Building Information Modelling (BIM) dengan Perangkat Lunak Autodesk Revit bagi Guru dan Siswa,” tim dosen Universitas Negeri Surabaya memberikan pelatihan intensif yang mencakup pembuatan gambar portal, pondasi, serta penulangannya. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan metode presentasi, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung, pre-test, post-test, serta latihan mandiri berupa tugas desain sederhana untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta. Rata-rata nilai pre-test peserta adalah 64 dengan nilai tertinggi 68, sedangkan rata-rata nilai post-test meningkat menjadi 84 dengan nilai tertinggi mencapai 100. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Peserta memberikan umpan balik positif pada setiap indikator penilaian yang mencakup relevansi materi, kejelasan penyampaian, kesesuaian durasi pelaksanaan, kemanfaatan pelatihan, kemudahan mengikuti kegiatan, penambahan pengetahuan/keterampilan, dan kepuasan kegiatan secara keseluruhan. Hasil ringkasan menunjukkan bahwa PKM dinilai berhasil dan relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta. Kata kunci: Pelatihan, Desain Bangunan, Desain Struktur, BIM, Autodesk Revit

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) adalah penelitian yang dilakukan di dalam kelas dengan menggunakan suatu tindakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar mengajar agar memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik dari sebelumnya. Pembuatan PTK membutuhkan waktu yang lama karena harus mengimplementasikan tindakan dan variabel yang telah dirancang untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahanam guru tentang PTK sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman dalam penyusunan karya ilmiah bagi guru SMKN 1 Mojokerto. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan memberikan pemahaman teoritik dan pelatihan praktik untuk meningkatkan pemahamam dan keterampilan guru di SMK Negeri 1 Mojokerto dalam pembuatan PTK. Dari kegiatan PKM ini dapat disimpulan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) terbukti dapat membantu peserta pelatihan untuk lebih dapat memahami materi-materi terkait dengan sistematika proposal dan laporan penelitian, konsepsi dan penyusunan proposal serta laporan PTK. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh hasil 80,45% yang berada pada kategori positif yang artinya terdapat pemahaman para guru tentang profesinya, terutama dalam hal pemahaman penulisan/ pembuatan/ pelaksanaan PTK.
