Abstract

The purpose of this study to know the degree of digital literacy of the students teacher towards video project based on local potency in West Borneo. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The subjects of the study was taken by using systematic sampling technic. The technic of collecting data uses the indirect communication, observation, and direct communication. Collecting data uses observation sheet, and dialogue sheet. The technic of data analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis. The result of the study shows that the degree of the digital literacy of the students is high. It means that the students can use computer (71%) and the ability to use internet (63%). The degree of the digital literacy of the students is moderate. It means that the percentage of the students who can use internet to find biology information only (61%), the percentage of reading biology books via internet only (58%), and to spread and to criticize biological information (58%). The degree of digital literacy is regarded low. This can be seen from having social net to inform about biology (8%) and to distinguish the sources eithen valid or invalid (8%), the ability to find information about biology (3%), and the ability to produce media to spread information of biology (5%). Based on the result get, can be concluded that the degree of digital literacy of students are medium level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal berupa ekosistem. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan 1 kelompok pretest dan posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah sebanyak 100 siswa kelas X SMA dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, terdiri atas 36 siswa SMAN 1 Sambas, 32 siswa SMAN 3 Bengkayang dan 32 siswa SMA Bawari Kota Pontianak. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif (wawancara dan observasi) dan data kuantitatif (angket sikap peduli lingkungan dengan menggunakan skala Likert). Peningkatan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa dilihat dari nilai N-Gain yang diperoleh melalui nilai skala sikap sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan bahan ajar ekosistem. Hasil perhitungan N-Gain (0,32) termasuk kategori sedang. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian bahwa penerapan bahan ajar ekosistem mangrove berbasis potensi lokal dapat meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa. The aim of this research was to improve the environmental awareness attitude using teaching materials based on the local potential of ecosystem. This research was conducted by using the experimental quasi method with one group pretest-posttest experimental design. Sample of this research was 100 students of class X senior high school (SMA) using purposive sampling technique, and consisted of 36 students of SMAN 1 Sambas, 32 students of SMAN 3 Bengkayang and 32 students of Bawari Pontianak. The obtained data were qualitative data (interview and observation) and quantitative data (questionnaire about environmental awareness attitude by using Likert scale). The improvement of students environmental awareness attitude was known from the N-Gain values obtained through the attitude scale values before and after using the ecosystem teaching materials. The result of N-Gain calculation (0.32) was medium category. The conclusion of this research was the teaching materials based on local potency can improve students’ environmental awareness attitude.

Abstract

Indonesia is the origin and center of diversity of banana. One of an edible banana in Indonesia is Pisang Awak (Musa paradisiaca cv. Awak ). In West Kalimantan, the ripe Pisang Awak has been processed into sale (dried banana). The aims of this research were to describe the morphological and anatomical character of Pisang Awak in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. In this study, Pisang Awak were collected from Padang Tikar I village, Batu Ampar Sub-district, Kubu Raya district, West Kalimantan. Morphological characterizations were conducted by following the instruction on Descriptors for Banana (Musa spp.) from IPGRI. The root, leaf blade, and petiole were fixed in FAA solution. Root, leaf, and petiole anatomy preparats were made by paraffin method. The lamina of Pisang Awak consisted of adaxial epidermis, two hypodermis layers, two palisade layers, spongy layer, bundle sheath cell, abaxial epidermis, laticifer. The petiole of Pisang Awak composed of three tissue systems, i.e., epidermis layer, parenchyma tissue and vascular tissue. The root of Pisang Awak consists of two epidermis layers, parenchyma and vascular cylinder. In the future, morphological and anatomical character in Pisang Awak could be applied as the basis of information for breeding programs of banana cultivars and classification.

Abstract

The low level of students’ higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) has been the main problem of education in Indonesia. This study aimed to determine the difference of students’ HOTS taught by using POE and Guided discovery learning models. This quasi-experimental research involved 34 students of X IPA 3 and 32 students of X IPA 4 at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang-West Kalimantan as the sample. The data obtained by using test which was analyzed using Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that the students’ HOTS who were treated with POE was significantly higher than those who were taught using Guided discovery learning. Therefore, it is suggested to implement POE to improve students’ HOTS.

Abstract

Abstract - This research is conducted because of the limited information of mangrove forest in Parit Belida and the damage caused by the lack of society awarness. Based on the preliminary research, those are due to the irrelevant prior knowledge  and information transfer. Mangrove forest in Parit Belida provides facts on the ground and biological object materials which are relevant with the topic of ecosystem. It has various plants and animals with special morphology, various types of adaptation, and the physical characteristics of the mangrove forest itself.  However those can not be directly applied to the learning process. It needs to be processed into functional materials which allows the students to understand the concept of the fact presented in the teaching materials. The R&D method was used to obtain teaching material  initiated with preliminary study, composing draft, development, validation and program implementation. As Curriculum 2013 said that teaching learning process should develop character education and scientific approach for students, the concept and the attitude of the students towards the awarness of mangrove forests can be improved by involving them actively and innovatively. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat efektivitas buku tiga dimensi melalui pemanfaatan hasil penelitian analisis fitoplankton di Parit Belida, Kabupaten Kubu Raya berdasarkan hasil penilaian 14 orang guru biologi di Kota Pontianak. Hasil validasi pakar pembelajaran Biologi, buku dinyatakan layak, untuk selanjutnya digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan buku tiga dimensi sangat efektif atau 85,64% dan semua guru menyatakan tertarik menggunakan buku tiga dimensi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku tiga dimensi sangat efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada sub materi keanekaragaman jenis di kelas X SMA.Kata Kunci : Buku Tiga Dimensi, Media Pembelajaran, Efektivitas

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tidak adanya buku petunjuk praktikum yang jelas dapat menyulitkan siswa dalam pelaksanaan praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan petunjuk praktikum biologi berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi sistem pencernaan kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar praktikum. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan 4-D yang dimodifikasi meliputi tahap pendefiinisian (Define), perancangan (Design), dan pengembangan (Develop). Berdasarkan penilaian para ahli, nilai kevalidan hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 3,87 artinya memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, ahli tampilan sebesar 4 memenuhi ktiteria kevalidan, dan ahli bahasa sebesar 3,6 kriteria valid sehingga petunjuk praktikum layak untuk digunakan. Nilai kepraktisan berdasarkan penilaian angket respon yang diberikan kepada siswa sebesar 82,291% pada uji coba awal dan pada uji coba utama respon yang diberikan oleh siswa sebesar 85,18% sehingga memberikan respon positif terhadap penggunaan petunjuk praktikum yang telah direvisi pada kegiatan praktikum biologi materi sistem pencernaan. Nilai keefektifan berdasarkan perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest pada saat uji coba utama, 0,61 dengan kategori sedang.Kata Kunci: Inkuiri Terbimbing, Petunjuk Praktikum, Sistem Pencernaan ABSTRACTThe unavalability of the standardized lab instruction leads to the students’ problem in conducting lab activities. This study aimed at developing the guided- inquiry laboratory instruction in ‘Digestive System’ class at XI grade class of SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. The development model used in this study was 4D model (Define, Design, Develop). The results of the validation experts (content, language, appereance) showed that the material /the content score was 3,87 which means that the product was valid, the material appereance was 4 (valid), and the language use was 3,6 (valid). Therefore, the lab instruction was considered proper to be used. The result of the questionnaire revealed that the respondents gave positive response to the validated product. It can be seen from the practicality score at the first (82,291%) and the second try out (85,18%). Similarly,the effectiveness score based on the main try out of pre and post tests was 0,61 (average category).Keywords: guided inquiry, lab instruction/manual, digestive system

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) dengan berbasis inkuiri pada materi sel. Pengembangan dalam penelitian ini adalah memodifikasi model pengembangan 4-D yang direkomendasikan Thiagarajan. Hasil dari LKS berbasis inkuiri memenuhi kriteria kevalidan 94,05%. Uji coba pengembangan skala besar dilakukan dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang. Pada penelitian ini, data diperoleh dari hasil validasi oleh para validator dan pengisian angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) LKS yang dihasilkan layak digunakan, 2) Rata-rata hasil penilaian validasi LKS sebesar 94,05% dengan kategori sangat valid, 3) Respon siswa skala besar adalah 78,03% dengan kategori kuat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis inkuiri valid dan bisa diterapkan dalam pembelajaran materi sel. Kata Kunci: Lembar Kegiatan Siswa, Inkuiri, Sel

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                                                         JULIA NINGSIH (121630568). Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian menggunakan Wondershare Quiz Creator pada Mata Pelajaran Biologi Kelas X SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. Dibawahbimbingan: NURI DEWI MULDAYANTI, M.Pd. dan Adi Pasah Kahar, M.Pd.Bentuk penilaian yang digunakan di SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak masih terbatas. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa hasil penilaian dapat dikeluarkan 3 sampai dengan 7 hari, oleh karena itu dibutuhkan instrumen untuk membantu guru menilai hasil tugas dan ulangan siswa secara cepat yaitu dengan wondershare quiz creator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian yaitu wondershare quiz creator pada mata pelajaran biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah model 4-D yang dimodifikasi meliputi pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik pengukuran, komunikasi langsung, dan komunikasi tidak langsung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian menggunakan wondershare quiz creator yang dikembangkan sangat layak, mendapat respon positif dari siswa sebesar 83% dengan kriteria sangat kuat, dan respon positif dari guru sebesar 95% dengan kriteria sangat kuat.Berdasarkanhasilanalisisdapatdisimpulkanbahwainstrumenpenilaianmenggunakanwondershare quiz creator yang dikembangkan valid danmendapatresponpositifdari guru dansiswa.Kata kunci: instrumen, penilaian, wondershare quiz creator, biologi ABSTRACTJULIA NINGSIH (121 630 568). The Development Of Assessment Instruments Using Wondershare Quiz Creator In Biology Subjects Grade X SMAN 9 Pontianak. Under the guidance: Nuri Dewi Muldayanti, M.Pd. and Adi Pasah Kahar, M.Pd.The instrument for assessment in SMAN 9 Pontianak was still limitless. The results of observations show that the assessment results will be issued 3 to 7 days, therefore need an instrument to help teachers assess students task and replicates exactly that with wondershare quiz creator. This study aims to develop an assessment instrument that is wondershare quiz creator in biology subjects grade X SMAN 9 Pontianak. The method used 4-D model modified includes defining, designing, and development. The data collection techniqueused the technique of measurement, direct communication and indirect communication. The results of analysis showed that the assessment tool using wondershare quiz creator developed is very decent, received a positive response from students by 83% with a very strong criteria and positive response from teachers was 95% with astrong criteria. Based on the results we can conclude that, yhe analysis by using assessment instruments wondershare quiz creator developed is valid and received a positive response from teachers and students.Keywords: instrument, assessment,  wondershare quiz creator, biology
