Abstract

The study was conducted to analyse the language changes that occur inwhatsapp groups of class VIII student at SMPN 2 Cibitung in the post -pandemic period as well as their implication of persuasive text teaching mediain the from of posters. The research method used in this research in descriptivequalitative method. The amount of data containing language changes inwhatsapp groups conversations of class VIII J student at SMPN 2 Cibitungthat the author has collected is 270 conversations containing languagechanges based on changes in phonology, morphology, and semantic. Of the270 conversation data in this study, 84 conversation data containingphonological changes were found, consisting of 10 word containing changeswith the addition of phonemes, 44 word containing changes with phonemechanges, and 67 word containing changes with phoneme removal. Furthermor,170 data countaining morphonological changes were found, consisting of 69word containing changes by affixation, 21 word countaining changes byreduplication, and 27 word countaining changes by abbreviation. The last, 107data countaining semantic changes were found, consisting of 29 wordcontaining connotation meaning and 85 word containing denatation meaning

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and causes of code switching found in Becanda Tapi Santai broadcasts on the Youtube channel and its use as an audiovisual medium in teaching anecdotes texts in class X SMA. The research approach is qualitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The subject of this study was the September 2021 issue of Joking But Relaxing through the Trans7 Lifestyle YouTube channel. The results obtained in this study amounted to 50 data. The data is in the form of internal code switching from Indonesian to Javanese totaling 2 data, then external code switching from Indonesian to English and from English to Indonesian totaling 21 data. Meanwhile, the cause of code switching in the form of situations totaling 12 data, 10 data interlocutors, and 5 data topics of conversation, and there is use as an audiovisual media in learning anecdotal texts in class X SMA.

Abstract

Literary work is the result of human creativity which is the embodiment of the imagination or creativity of the writer based on the reality of his life in society. Literature is known to have mimetic properties which in Greek means imitation. Imitation in this case is a picture of the reality of life or reality that is centered on the universe. Thus, what is contained in literature is actually the reality that exists in life, but it is added with the ideas and ideas of the author which makes it a work of fiction. Literary works have various functions, one of which is an educational function. It is said to have an educational function because basically literature contains many positive values ​​that readers can take and apply in everyday life. One form of literary work is a novel. This research aims to describe. (1) describe the social values ​​in the novel Aral by Fatih Zam. This study uses Burhan Nurgiyantoro's theory of intrinsic elements and Jubaedi's social values. Intrinsic elements are elements that (directly) participate in building the story. It is this element that makes the novel tangible and is often encountered by readers when reading novels. Social values ​​are a set of individual attitudes that are used as a standard of behavior and valued as a truth to get a harmonious and democratic society. Thus, social values ​​have a very important position for society, nation and state. Social values ​​function as a reference for behavior in interacting with others so that empowerment can be accepted in society. The subject in this study is the novel Aral by Fatih Zam .The data collection technique in this research is document study. The results of this study also found social values ​​which include: (1) the value of mutual help, (2) the value of caring, (3) the value of loyalty, (4) the value of kinship, and (5) the value of responsibility.

Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan pembelajaran yang diajarkan guru kepada siswa dalam keterampilan menulis sebuah teks adalah menulis teks deskripsi. Teks deskripsi merupakan teks yang menggambarkan sesuatu sesuai dengan keadaan yang sebenarnya. Bidang linguistik yang mempengaruhi keterampilan menulis siswa salah satunya adalah kesalahan sintaksis. Ruang lingkup kesalahan sintaksis berkisar pada kesalahan frasa, klausa, dan kalimat. Penulis dapat mengetahui kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa yang dilakukan siswa. Selain itu, analisis kesalahan sintaksis juga dapat digunakan sebagai alat untuk mengukur kemampuan berbahasa siswa. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan analisis sintaksis kesalahan berbahasa dalam bidang frasa, klausa, kalimat pada teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPN 7 Karawang Barat. Kesalahan bidang frasa dapat dianalisis berdasarkan klasifikasi kesalahan berbahasa antara lain, adanya pengaruh bahasa daerah, penggunaan preposisi yang tidak tepat, kesalahan susunan kata, penggunaan unsur yang berlebihan atau mubazir, penggunaan bentuk superlatif yang berlebihan, penjamakan yang ganda, dan penggunaan resiprokal yang tidak tepat. Kesalahan klausa dibagi menjadi kesalahan klausa dengan predikat kosong dan kesalahan klausa dengan subjek kosong. Kesalahan kalimat dilihat berdasarkan kalimat tidak bersubjek, kalimat tidak berpredikat, kalimat tidak bersubjek dan tidak berpredikat (kalimat buntung), kalimat yang tidak logis, kalimat yang ambiguitas, penghilangan konjungsi, dan penggunaan konjungsi yang berlebihan. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII B SMPN 7 Karawang Barat. Objek penelitian ini adalah hasil teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII B SMPN 7 Karawang Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif denagn mendeskripsikan hasil analisis sintaksis bentuk kesalahan berbahasa dalam frasa, klausa, dan kalimat dalam teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPN 7 Karawang Barat. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan analisis data model Miles and Huberman. Kesalahan berbahasa yang ditemukan meliputi penggunaan bentuk superlatif, penggunaan unsur yang berlebihan atau mubazir, adanya pengaruh bahasa daerah, penjamakan ganda, susunan kata dan ketidaktepatan struktur, dan preposisi yang tidak tepat. Pada kesalahan klausa yang ditemukan hanya klausa dengan subjek kosong. Sementara kesalahan kalimat yang ditemukan meliputi kalimat yang tidak logis, penghilangan konjungsi, kalimat ambiguitas, kalimat tidak bersubjek, kalimat tidak bersubjek dan tidak berpredikat (kalimat buntung), dan kalimat dengan penggunaan konjungsi berlebihan. Dari hasil analisis penulis membuat media ajar berupa video pembelajaran kalimat efektif.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems found in the field that students had difficulty in writing explanatory texts, besides that the problems began due to students' lack of interest in writing and the use of inappropriate learning strategies. The study aims to (1) Describe the application of critical incident learning strategies to the ability to write explanatory texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek, (2) Describe student learning outcomes in the application of critical incident learning strategies to the ability to write explanatory texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek. The author uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods and nonequivalent control group design. The correlation between the research design and the objectives of this study is the use of two classes that will be compared before and after receiving treatment. Research processing using SPSS software version 26. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek by taking two classes as samples, namely classes 7G and 7J, each consisting of 40 students. The study sample was taken by purposive sampling. There are three stages in this study, namely pretest, treatment or treatment and posttest. Pretest is conducted to determine the initial ability of students in writing explanatory texts before getting treatment. After being given a pretest, researchers gave treatment using critical incident strategies for experimental classes, while control classes used conventional strategies. The next step is to give a posttest to students to see the influence of the strategy used. Based on the results of the study, it was stated that the average score of the experimental class pretest and posttest scores were 44.9 and 78.4 and it showed that the posttest and pretest scores had a difference of 33.5. While the average score of the control class pretest and posttest scores of 43.1 and 61.3 shows that the two scores have a difference in value of 18.3. This shows that the experimental class is higher than the control class. Furthermore, the results of the hypothesis test with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted and the hypothesis test of N-gain value with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, the conclusion is that there is an influence of critical incident learning strategies in the ability to write explanatory texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek.
