Abstract

Abstract : Variations aggregate gradation in the mixed concrete greatly affect the characteristicsof the concrete. Concrete with dense and continuous gradation is expected to reduce the levels ofair and increases the unit weight of concrete and add to the strength of concrete.Concrete mixturewas planned SNI method with 25 MPa compressive strength with cement and water factorvariation and 15 sample units. To compare the methods of concrete mixtures with the maximumdensity with variation of water cement factor and sample cube 15 units.Compressive strength ofmaximum density method 26 Mpa and SNI method 23,8 Mpa. The compressive strengthmaksimum density method is higher 9.24 % than SNI method, it is also supported by the results ofconcrete weight 8117 kg at maximum density method and 8068 kg at SNI method. Slump withmaximum density method and SNI method shows the same value, then the level of work abilityis also the same.Keywords: Maximum Density, SNI, compressive strength of Concrete.

Abstract

The type of pavement commonly used in Indonesia is flexible pavement that uses asphalt as its binding material. It is very important to maintain the characteristic of asphalt that functions as the aggregate adhesive in a mixture of asphalt concrete (laston). One way of maintaining or improving the characteristics of the laston is by using graphene as an additive. This study was aimed to examine and analyze the effect of adding graphene as an additive and to find out the most effective level of graphene addition in the asphalt mixture to the Marshall characteristics of the AC–BC laston mixture. This study combined the addition of graphene as an additive of 3.5%, 4%, and 4.5% of the weight of asphalt. The test results showed that the stability value of Marshall characteristics at optimum bitumen content conditions is increased. The highest stability value is found in the addition of 4.5% of graphene which is 1500 kg. The most effective level of graphene addition in the asphalt mixture against Marshall characteristics is by adding 4.5% graphene. The addition of 4.5% of graphene has the highest stability value with a difference of 200 kg or 14.81%, while the value of flow is 4,5 mm, VIM is 3.7%, VFA is 76%, VMA is 14,8%, and MQ is 350 kg/mm, all these values fulfill Bina Marga specifications 2010 revision 3, except the flow values.Keywords: Graphene, Marshall characteristics, AC–BC, Laston

Abstract

Housing development has led to increase in the demand for the production of non-structural constituent materials such as bricks. Apart from that the increased production of bricks also creates waste from thebricks themselves such as defective brick. The defect may caused by improper forms, inadequate requirements for combustion and broken stones when transporting locations. This study aims to find theMarshall characteristic value in the asphalt concrete wearing course mixture filler under conditions of optimum asphalt content with used variations of brick ash and portland cement as filler replacement withratio of 0:100, 25:75, 50:50, 75:25 and 100:0. The method used in this study is the experimental method and descriptive analysis. The combination of these two methods identified based on facts obtained during testing and then analyzed based on literature and other supporting data. In the condition of optimum asphaltcontent, all variations meet the Marshall characteristics requirements. The best composition is found in variations of 100:0 (100% brick ash : 0% portland cement) with a stability value of 1280 kg and flow of 3.90mm, with optimum asphalt content of 5.90% and VMA value of 16.00%, VFA 75.00%, VIM 3.95% and MQ 345 kg/mm.Keywords: Brick Ash, Laston AC-WC, Filler

Abstract

One type of road pavement layers that susceptible to damage is Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course (AC-WC). AC-WC is the top layer of the road pavement structure. One effort that can be carried out to improve the quality of asphalt pavement is to modify the asphalt mixture materials by using additive. Graphene is one of the materials that can be used as asphalt additive. Several previous studies have used this material in various reinforcement structures. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of using asphalt that has been mixed with graphene as the additive in the AC-WC mixture based on the value of Marshall characteristics. Variations made in this study were 0% (without mixture) as a comparison, 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% of asphalt weight. This research was carried out by designing the AC-WC mixture based on the gradation specifications of combined aggregate for each variation. The specimens of Marshall test were made for each variation. Graphene was made by using the Electrochemical and Mechanical Liquid Exfoliation (EMLE) method. The results showed that the use of graphene as the additive in the AC-WC mixture affected the value of Marshall characteristics. The best value that meets the general specifications of Bina Marga 2010 revision 3 was obtained in the addition of 1.5% graphene, with stability value 1485 kg or an increase of 28.57%, flow value 4.25 mm, VIM value 6%, VMA value 18.3%, VFA value 65%, and MQ value 345 kg/mm.Keywords: Graphene, Additives, AC-WC, General Specifications of Bina Marga 2010 Revision 3, Marshall

Abstract

Asphalt concrete is a mixture of asphalt, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and filler. Many types of filler have been used to improve asphalt concrete performance. In this research, a combined ofbrick ash and portland cement was used as filler. As wasted products, this mixed filler can be used as an alternative replacement of Portland cement due to their similar chemical compounds. Thespecifications used follow the 2010 revision 3 Bina Marga General Specifications standard using the Marshall method. This research combined brick ash and portland cement at ratio of 0:100,25:75, 50:50, 75:25 and 100:0, asphalt content varied were 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7%. The optimum fillers contents for each variation i.e. 6.08%, 6.43%, 5.83%, 6.20% and 5.50%respectively. The results present that all variations fulfill specification. The variation suggested as a mixture is a variation off 100:0, because that variations fulfill the specified spesifications economically.Keywords: portland cement, brick ash, AC-BC, Bina Marga Specifications 2010 Revision

Abstract

Infrastructure boom requires a large amount of aggregate which is non renewable. On the other hand infrastructure construction create some amount of concrete waste which might be recycled. This study investigated marshall characteristic of Asphalt Treated Base using concrete waste as coarse aggregate substitution. Concrete waste was mixed with fresh aggregate at ratio of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75 and 0:100 asphalt content varied are 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7%. The optimum aggregate contents for each variation i.e. 6.05%, 6%, 6.5%, 6.5% and 6% respectively. The results show that all variation fulfilled the specification the 75:25 variation was recommended as mixture ratio with high stability value 2.320 kg and also asphalth content was affordable with 6% of optimum asphalt content.Keywords: Waste concrete, aggregate, asphalt treated base (ATB)

Abstract

Developing in highway is needed to produce better mechanical properties. This study aims to produce concrete asphalt by adding FLG (Few-Layer Graphene) from graphite, and then comparing the contribution of graphene with concentration and weight ratio of FLG to concrete asphalt as variations. Making asphalt concrete-FLG composite was started from making FLG with concentrations of 10, and 20 mg/ml using the turbulence-assisted shear exfoliation (TASE) method. Then, FLG was added to the bitumen with these variations and mixing it at 150 ᴼC and stirred for 10 minutes for homogenize. The homogenized asphalt bitumen was then mixed with the aggregates that have been prepared using a filter analyzer. The united bitumen and aggregates were then compacted using Marshall Automatic Compactor (MAC) with the number of collisions as much as 112 times and soaked in a water bath for 24 hours at 25 ᴼC. After 24 hours, the Marshall object test was weighed and soaked again for 30 minutes at 60 ᴼC before Marshall’s test. The results showed that for bitumen asphalt, the best penetration was exhibited by sample synthesized using FLG with concentrations of 20 mg/ml and 9% wt, namely 48.1 dmm. For Marshall’s test, the best flow value was also exhibited by the sample with FLG concentrations of 20 mg/ml and 9% wt, namely 4.3 mm. FTIR testing showed that there was an interaction between the FLG and bitumen in the double bond region and single bond stretch.Keywords : asphalt, few-layer graphene, flow, penetrations, softening point, stability

Abstract

Anemia or lack of iron is a problem for young women that must be addressed. Anemia can cause the body to tire easily, decrease productivity and creativity, weaken the immune system so that it is easily attacked by disease. Young women are a group that is vulnerable to anemia. Anemia in young women will have a long-term impact if not treated properly. Efforts to prevent anemia need to be carried out actively and continuously. One effort that can be made is education about blood-boosting tablets and nutrition that can prevent anemia. The goal after this Health counseling is expected to increase the knowledge of young women in preventing and overcoming anemia. The method used in this community service activity is the lecture and discussion method through several stages, namely the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The results of this activity are an increase in knowledge in young women about the prevention and overcoming of anemia by increasing nutrition, consuming food sources of iron and iron supplementation.

Abstract

Pengembangan potensi Eco-School SMP IT Khazanah Boarding Scchool di Kecamatan Pujud dapat diwujudkan dengan budidaya kangkung darat dan pepaya california dengan memanfaatkan para santri dibawah pengawasan kepala Sekolah dan guru-guru yang ada. Metode dalam mewujudkan Eco-School adalah dengan menyediakan sarana dan parasarana berupa penyediaan media tanam, pengadaan bibit yang berkualitas dan tenaga terampil dalam melakukan penyuluhan dan pendampingan serta keikut sertaan dan partisipasi mahasiswa Kukerta dalam pembudidayaan kangkung darat dan pepaya california tersebut sehingga mendapatkan hasil usaha maksimal. Hasil panen kangkung darat dan pepaya California dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi sayur-sayuran dan buah-buahan untuk para santri dan guru yang tinggal di komplek SMP IT Khazanah Boarding School. Kelebihan dari kebutuhan konsumsi para santri dan guru dapat dijual dengan cara mencari langganan tetap dipasar-pasar yang ada di Kecamatan Pujud. Hasil panen budidaya kangkung darat dan pepaya california ini selain dapat digunakan sebagai modal dasar untuk kelanjutan budidaya kangkung untuk tahap selanjutnya dan dapat pula digunakan sebagai tambahan dana untuk keperluan sayur dan buah-buahan dalam memenuhi konsusi harian santri di SMP IT Khazanah Boarding School ini. Pembudidayaan kangkung darat dan pepaya california terbukti sebagai Model Eco-School cikal bakal sekoalah berbasis lingkungan berkelanjutan
