Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis 119 artikel berita online di The Jakarta Post dari Januari hingga April 2019, terkait pemilu nasional 2019, menggunakan analisis isi berdasarkan pada isu-isu yang dibahas dalam debat nasional yang diselenggarakan oleh Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Indonesia. Selain itu, penelitian ini menambahkan segmen kategori yang merangkum isuisu yang diekspos dari tinjauan studi terkait. Uji reliabilitas antarpengkode mendapatkan nilai yang sangat baik (pengkode 1 dan 3: k = 0.83; pengkode 1 dan 2: k = 0.84; pengkode 2 dan 3: k = 0.94). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua kandidat mendapatkan kesempatan yang sama untuk dibingkai secara objektif dalam pemberitaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the shifting form of a community of cultural radio listeners, Sanak Kadang Jodhipati, from an off-line to a virtual community. Since adopting Facebook, YouTube, and audio streaming, Radio Jodhipati FM’s listeners have become part of a networked community. This study used a virtual ethnographic method, which allows researchers to conduct interviews and virtual searches from November 2019 to May 2020. The result shows that Sanak Kadang Jodhipati, as a social community, holds meetings in the Nganjuk Regency and other cities where Radio Jodhipati FM covers wayang kulit shows. As a virtual community, this community is more intensive in communicating through the WhatsApp group during the COVID-19 pandemic. The contents of the communication are not limited to discussing wayang kulit, gendhing, and other Javanese culture, it also addresses health, employment, legal, and political issues. Despite the diverse socioeconomic status, the members do not differentiate the form of communication, as fellow Javanese culture lovers.

Abstract

This mentoring program is addressed to former migrant families in Resapombo Village, Blitar, East Java, in response to the economic issue. The entrepreneurship and marketing communication program aims to create a resilient economy in remote areas. The methods used in this mentoring are socialization, workshops/training, cadre recruitment, and entrepreneurial practice. The primary materials presented in this mentoring program include building entrepreneurial thinking and spirit, canvas business models, creating brands and marketing communication planning, saving culture, and family financial management. The recruitment of cadres is essential in this activity to maintain the program's sustainability. Participants were asked to put their business ideas into practice, and then they were given insights into obtaining business capital for the last topic. It is designed to ensure that ideas can be realized and that economically resilient families can be realized.

Abstract

Kondisi ekonomi keluarga mendorong orang Indonesia untuk bekerja ke luar negeri, terutama pekerja perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman culture shock dalam proses adaptasi budaya perempuan pekerja migran. Diperlukan adaptasi budaya dalam menghadapi budaya yang berbeda karena berbeda negara. Pengalaman adaptasi budaya perempuan pekerja migran mulai digali dari saat memutuskan bekerja di luar negeri hingga saat memutuskan untuk menghentikan kontrak kerja. Metode penelitian ini adalah fenomenologi dengan menggali pengalaman subjektif perempuan pekerja migran di Desa Resapombo, Blitar, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan konsep kurva W oleh Oberg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya culture shock dan hambatan komunikasi ketika di luar negeri dan ketika kembali ke Indonesia. Adaptasi budaya dilakukan untuk menjembatani hambatan komunikasi. Siklus adaptasi mengalami pengulangan pada saat bekerja di luar negeri maupun pada saat kembali. Filosofi budaya Jawa “nrimo ing pandum” menjadi salah satu strategi untuk bertahan di tengah menghadapi budaya yang berbeda.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the communication patterns of single parents in post-migrant families in Resapombo Village, Doko District, Blitar Regency. The study employs a qualitative method, utilizing in-depth interview techniques for data collection. Three informants participated in this study, consisting of one father and three mothers, all of whom are single parents from post-migrant families. The findings reveal that the communication patterns of single parents in these families exhibit high levels of conversation and conformity dimensions, indicating a consensual family type with an authoritative parenting style. These parents engage in open dialogues with their children, encouraging discussions while also emphasizing the importance of family values and norms. The authoritative parenting style observed reflects a balance between responsiveness and demandingness, where single parents maintain control while nurturing their children's independence. This study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of communication within post-migrant families, highlighting the unique challenges and adaptations faced by single parents. Understanding these patterns is crucial for developing support systems and interventions tailored to the needs of single-parent post-migrant families. The results of this study contribute to the broader discourse on family communication, especially in the context of migration and its impact on family structures. Future research should explore the long-term effects of these communication patterns on children's development and well-being in post-migrant settings, as well as the role of community support in enhancing family resilience.
