Abstract

The Cirebon City Cooperative Office organized this community service activity on MSMEs Responding to the Challenges of Digitalization in collaboration with Radio Republik Indonesia Cirebon City. The participants who attended were MSME actors in Cirebon City. The material presented in this counseling is the development of Industry 1.0 to 4.0 technology and the disruption of information technology, which requires MSME players to be digitally literate so that their businesses can develop under the demands of the times. The challenges and benefits of digital technology are delivered. The steps that need to be taken are determining the target market, preparing superior products, preparing payment models, preparing delivery models, and starting sales with digital marketing. The results of the activities organized by the Cirebon City Cooperative Office and RRI Cirebon City received support and positive responses from the participants when they saw the presence of MSMEs and so many questions asked by the participants. The existence of this collaboration is expected in the future. The digitization process of MSMEs in Cirebon City can run smoothly, and it can increase the welfare and income of MSMEs.

Abstract

The purpose of this PKM activity is to train in making natural hand sanitizers to overcome scarcity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Partners in high school students in Tegal Wangi Village, Cirebon Regency. The method of transferring knowledge and technology with the stages of activities: 1) material briefing, 2) manufacturing practices, and 3) evaluation. The results of this activity are 1) students can understand well the technique of making hand-sanitizers with natural ingredients, this can be seen from the indicator of increasing ability to reach 80%, 2) the skills to make natural hand-sanitizers from natural ingredients, and 3) the availability of natural hand-sanitizer products in the high school environment Tegal Wangi Village, Cirebon Regency. Hand sanitizer-making training activities need to be carried out regularly by utilizing available natural ingredients.

Abstract

Program Adiwiyata School is an initiative of the Indonesian government to encourage schools to implement sustainability and environmental protection principles. This program aims to raise awareness among ecological students and develop environmental behavior. Adiwiyata schools generally have a good waste management system. Among them are separating organic and inorganic waste, composting, and reusing or recycling waste according to the 3R principle (reduce, reuse, recycle). Energy saving. The program aims to reduce school energy consumption by using energy-efficient lights, turning off unused electrical appliances, and raising awareness among students and staff, about energy saving. Adiwiyata School often prioritizes the use of natural resources, such as the use of rainwater to irrigate school gardens, maintain the presence of native vegetation, and reduce the use of harmful chemicals. One of the main goals of Adiwiyata School is to increase students' understanding of the environment and sustainable development. This is done through formal and informal educational activities such as learning on the school curriculum, extracurricular activities and field trips to places related to the environment. The results of the discussion can be concluded that The school as the target of the adiwiyata program is very enthusiastic to implement the adiwiyata school program in stages, it is hoped that there will be local government policies or agencies related to the adiwiyata school program and there will be rewards for district, provincial, national and independent adiwiyata schools, a strong commitment from all stakeholders is needed and good cooperation and synergy between related parties.

Abstract

Background. Production line balancing is a key element in improving the capacity and stability of manufacturing systems, yet conventional practices often ignore the elastic relationship between production intervals, capacity, and resource structure. This research develops and formalizes Rubber Ball Theory, a theoretical approach that views production systems as elastic entities, where changes in one operational variable trigger compensatory responses in other variables. Aims. The objective of this research is to develop a mathematical model for interval-based production line balancing and analyze its impact on overall supply chain performance. Methods. The research methodology includes developing an interval-based line-balancing optimization model, integrating concepts of bottlenecks and elastic capacity planning, and conducting empirical testing through a manufacturing industry case study. The developed model minimizes the system interval as the primary control variable, accounting for capacity constraints, precedence relationships, and parallel machine configurations. Sensitivity analysis is performed to evaluate the system's response to changes in the target interval and the number of parallel resources. Result. The results show that emphasizing production intervals without adjusting structural capacity leads to system instability and bottleneck displacement, while an elastic approach based on Rubber Ball Theory can sustainably increase production capacity. Furthermore, this approach has been shown to improve the reliability, responsiveness, and efficiency of asset management in the supply chain and contribute to reducing the variability of production flows that trigger the bullwhip effect. Conclusion. The main contribution of this research is the provision of an integrated conceptual and mathematical framework linking production line balancing to supply chain performance through elastic management of production intervals. Implication. These findings provide theoretical and practical implications for designing more adaptive and sustainable production systems and capacity planning.

Abstract

Background. Food security and sustainability are key challenges in the modern food system, characterized by fragmented production, high food losses, and weak coordination among supply chain actors. Food Supply Chain Management (FSCM) is a strategic approach to integrating the flow of products, information, and logistics from upstream to downstream. Aims. This study aims to develop a conceptual model of FSCM based on Koperasi Merah Putih, the primary institutional actor in strengthening the food supply chain. Methods. The research method employed a systematic literature review of relevant scientific publications and policy documents. Result. The study results indicate that the Koperasi Merah Putih has the potential to act as a supply chain coordinator through production aggregation, logistics management, and information management. Information technology support, government policies, and logistics infrastructure strengthen the cooperative's ability to improve FSCM performance. Conclusion. Optimal FSCM performance subsequently contributes to increased food security and the sustainability of the food system. Implementation. The developed conceptual model is expected to serve as a basis for further empirical research and a reference for formulating cooperative-based food policies.
