Abstract

Tanaman karet memiliki prospek yang baik untuk dikembangkan namun kurang diminati di Gorontalo. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya anggapan petani bahwa tanah di Gorontalo tidak cocok untuk budidaya tanaman karet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian lahan tanaman karet di Desa Tamaila, Kecamatan Tolangohula, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Pendekatan penilaian kesesuaian lahan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode matching antara karakteristik lahan dan syarat tumbuh tanaman karet. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu merupakan integrasi antara survey lapangan dan analisis laboratorium. Kesesuaian lahan tanaman karet pada daerah penelitian meliputi cukup sesuai (S2) dengan luas 155,62 Ha, sesuai marginal (S3) seluas 244,18 Ha dan tidak sesuai (N) dengan luas 132,04 Ha. Faktor penghambat kesesuaian lahan bervariasi meliputi media perakaran, ketersediaan oksigen, bahaya erosi, dan ketersediaan air. Penelitian selanjutnya sebaiknya menganalisis seluruh syarat tumbuh tanaman karet dan menambah jumlah sampel agar hasil penelitian lebih detil. Peneliti selanjutnya juga direkomendasikan melakukan analisis kesesuaian lahan untuk komoditas lain di Desa Tamaila sehingga dapat memberikan informasi yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

The reality of climate change has an impact on people's lives. People need to pay attention to climate change that is happening. Climate change that occurs needs to be anticipated early on. With climate change, people need to increase their sensitivity to disaster threats. Bilato Village is located in a coastal area vulnerable to climate change's effects. The Bilato village community impacts the livelihood system due to climate change. The aim of holding the outreach is so that the Bilato village community adapts to climate change's impacts by utilizing existing natural resources besides fishing and salt. The subject of community service is the villagers of Bilato. The community service method is carried out in three ways: observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The three findings of community service include a) how to reduce the impact of climate change, b) the village government's efforts to deal with climate change, and c) the fate of fishermen affected by climate change. Based on the results, it can be concluded that climate vulnerability and adaptive capacity with the climatepreneurship strategy of socialization participants understand climate change.

Abstract

OPTIMIZATION OF VILLAGE POTENTIALS FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS. The community service program through disaster mitigation and community adaptation to utilize land was carried out in Bulontala Timur village. The purpose of this program is to increase the adaptive capacity of the community to support development in the village. The program uses several methods, namely; interviews, field observations, document studies, discussions. The main activities implemented in this program are disaster mitigation and food security programs. Disaster mitigation activities are packaged in the form of socialization and field action. The food security program is implemented in several activities, namely; socialization, community action to plant and providing agricultural equipment. The results achieved in the disaster mitigation program are the availability of early warning signs and evacuation routes as well as the distribution of tree planting locations. The result of food security activities is the availability of yards of people's homes that have been planted with seeds and seeds of spice plants. These two main programs are to support the achievement of indicators on the Village Building Index and Village SDGs in East Bulontala village.

Abstract

Limboto Subdistrict, which is the capital of Gorontalo Regency, has fairly high population growth and is an area that is vulnerable to the effects of drought. This causes the availability of groundwater to decrease. This study aims to utilize the GIS application to determine the pattern of groundwater flow in the Limboto District. This groundwater flow pattern can be used as a reference for further research related to groundwater. The type of data in this study is the type of primary data. The method used in this research is a survey method, namely by measuring directly in the field. The data analysis technique used to determine the pattern of groundwater flow in Limboto Regency is utilizing software (GIS) using ArcGIS 10.7 software to obtain a map of groundwater flow patterns in Limboto District. The results of the spatial analysis of the groundwater flow pattern map in Limboto District show that water flows from the northern part of the study site to the southern part of the study site.

Abstract

Abstract. A study of HBV hydrological model in Peusangan watershed Aceh as a preface study to the development of sustainable ecohydrological concept was done. The objective of the study was to apply and to test the HBV subtropical model into a tropical region Peusangan watershed. Peusangan watershed, situated in northern Aceh, covers an area of 2268.39 km2 and 128 km in length. The HBV model was manually calibrated by trial adjustment of each parameter to obtain the appropriate physical characteristics of Peusangan watershed. The result showed that the model was nearly consistent with the observation data. In fact, the correlation and error bias of the model were 0.623 and 0.11, respectively. However, the weakness of the model reported in the study is due to the coverage of the weather station data whi ch locate far in the downstream of Peusangan watershed. In the meantime, both of model result and observation showed a good agreement to catch the peakflow of Peusangan watershed. The two peakflow arise on May and October which were 212 m3dt-1 and 250 m3dt-1, respectively.Keywords. HBV Hydrological model, Peusangan watershed, peakflow

Abstract

Understanding how the environment, especially climate, affects the growth of pests (life cycle) is very important to create management techniques that reduce or eliminate damage to rice plants and minimize the resulting losses.  This study aims to describe population dynamics modeling based on the influence of climate parameters using the DYMEX software.  Climate and life cycle characteristics, which can be processed in the DYMEX life cycle module, are two important elements in modeling the rice stem borer.  Egg, larval, and imago populations exhibit a variety of climate-related effects.  The larval stage is most visible in the month of MJJA, where rainfall intensity is low or during the dry season.  This indicates that the larval stage can survive through diapause in the dry season.  The correct numbers must be used to initialize and parameterize models created using DYMEX.  Overall, DYMEX can produce good simulation results in all life stages of the modeled insects.  However, obtaining good, precise simulation results requires the user's accuracy in building the model, especially the values of the input parameters.  In addition, to test the results of the DYMEX simulation, it is necessary to validate them with the actual conditions of the population in the field.

Abstract

Permasalahan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 2 di SMAN 1 Suwawa disebabkan oleh pembelajaran belum maksimal karena siswa kurang berpartisipasi dan hanya mengandalkan guru. Hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa kelas XI-IPS 2 belum mencapai KKM 75 dengan nilai rata-rata hanya 60. Alternatif pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle 5E siswa tidak hanya menjadi objek pasif dalam pembelajaran akan tetapi aktif terlibat dalam seluruh proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 2 di SMAN 1 Suwawa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subyek penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Suwawa. Subyek penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI IPS 2 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 29 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal test yang berjumlah 5 butir soal dengan indikator kognitif. Untuk mengetahui apakah terjadi kenaikan hasil belajar atau tidak, dilakukan perbandingan hasil belajar siklus I dengan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5e terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Suwawa.

Abstract

Permasalahan lingkungan yang penting untuk dibahas salah satunya kerusakan hutan. Kerusakan hutan akibat alih fungsi hutan sebagai perkebunan, pemukiman dan lain-lain. Sekitar 57% kerusakan hutan di Indonesia sebagian besar alih fungsi sebagai perkebunan kelapa sawit. Kondisi morfolgi desa Bilatalo sangat bervariasi mulai dataran tinggi sampai dataran rendah dan dilalui sungai Paguyaman. Desa Bilato berada dibagian hulu sungai Paguyaman yang sering dilanda banjir. Bantaran sungai Paguyaman minim dengan tutup vegetasi yang sangat rawan terjadi erosi yang mengakibatkan pendangkalan. Sungai paguyamanan berdampingan dengan lereng-lereng perbukitan. Untuk menangulangi bencana meteorologi di desa Bilato perlu diadakan reboisasi. Reboisasi dilakukan di bantaran sungai Paguyaman dan lereng-lereng perbukitan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dibagi menjadi 3 tiga tahapan, diantaranya survei lokasi, penanaman, monitoring. Kegiatan pengabdian masayarakat dilaksanakan dengan sesuai tahapan-tahapan kegiatan. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat upaya mitigasi dan kapasitas adaptasi perubahan iklim melaului reboisasi masyarakat lebih memahami pentingnya penanaman pohon sebagai upaya penagulangan bencana metorologi.

Abstract

Collaborative practices in the management of Taulaa Beach have not been maximized, including the minimal role of the community in beach maintenance and the lack of facilities and accessibility. This study aimed to assess the appropriateness of tourism in the Taula'a Beach area, located in the Bilato District of the Gorontalo Regency, inside the Gorontalo Province. The chosen research methodology entails the utilization of a survey-based approach. The process of data acquisition via direct observation and field measurements. The criteria that determine the acceptability of a tourism destination include water depth, beach type, beach breadth, water base material, current speed, beach slope, water brightness, land cover, presence of harmful biota, and availability of fresh water. The appropriateness of beach tourism is analyzed using the Tourism Suitability Index (IKW). The research findings yielded an IKW value of 77.4%. This value indicates that land suitability in the Taula'a Beach Tourism Area is included in the very suitable classification, specifically in the S1 category.
