Abstract

Character education is an effort to prevent the growth of bad characters for the younger generation, especially through the introduction of local wisdom cultural values. Character values that must be instilled in students in the current era of very rapid technological development is by providing character education which includes knowledge, awareness and action to be implemented in everyday life. The purpose of this community service is to provide strengthening character education through local wisdom of SDN 03 Kabila Bone students in Molotabu Village, Gorontalo. The target of this activity is elementary school students. The method used in this community service activity is student participation. Involve students directly with assistance during activities. The results of the evaluation showed that all educators followed the character education strengthening material with the results that 89% of participants were in the good category and 11% in the sufficient category. Thus strengthening character education through local wisdom can be said to be good by providing socialization and concrete actions that will be remembered by students in preserving and caring for the environment. This activity is expected to have a positive impact as an educational effort for students at SDN 03 Kabila Bone, Molotabu village, Gorontalo.

Abstract

Siswa kelas XI IPS 3 di SMA Negeri 1 Kademangan diketahui memiliki hasil belajar siswa rendah. Permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar didasarkan data hasil ulangan harian siswa. Data hasil ulangan harian siswa pada materi sebaran flora dan fauna dunia menunjukan nilai rata-ratanya 70. Hal tersebut belum memenuhi nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) yaitu sebesar 75 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran GI di kelas XI IPS3 SMA Negeri 1 Kademangan. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain 2 siklus penerapan model pembelajaran. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI IPS 3 yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa soal essai sebanyak 4 butir untuk pengukuran hasil belajar. Analisis hasil belajar dengan cara membandingkan nilai rata siklus I dengan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran (GI) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Kademangan. Hasil penerapkan model pembelajaran GI menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siklus I sebesar 75,44 pada siklus II nilai rata-ratanya meningkat menjadi 78,15. Peningkatan hasil belajar siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 3,59%.

Abstract

Siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) pada umumnya belum mengetahui kondisi geografis dilingkungan tempat tinggalnya. Kondisi geografis dilingkungan tempat tinggal sekitar siswa penting untuk dikenalkan. Kondisi geografis disekitar SDN 3 Kabila Bone berupa pesisir pantai dan pegungungan. Dibagian selatan merupakan garis pantai Teluk Tomini dan bagian barat merupakan perbukitan serta pegunungan. Kondisi geografis tersebut membuat binggung siswa karene daerahnya memiliki dua jenis bentang alam yang berbeda. Lokasi pengabdian masyarakat berada di pantai Molotabu. Subyek pengambdia masyarakat adalah siswa SDN 3 Kabila Bone yang terdiri dari kelas empat, lima dan enam sebanyak 19 siswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu klasiskal dengan metode ceramah. Hasil kegiatan pegetahuan siswa mengenai peta dan spasial meningkat setelah kegiatan yang dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Siswa kelas XI IPS 3 hingga SMA Negeri 1 Kademangan diketahui memiliki motivasi belajar yang rendah. Masalah rendahnya hasil belajar didasarkan pada observasi langsung. Pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa dari semua kelas kurang tertarik untuk belajar geografi. Kurangnya semangat siswa tersebut menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran GI pada siswa kelas XI IPS3 SMA Negeri 1 Kademangan. Desain penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain penerapan model pembelajaran 2 siklus. Objek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 3 yang terdiri dari 27 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat bantu berupa angket motivasi belajar yang terdiri atas 25 item untuk mengukur motivasi. Menganalisis hasil belajar dengan membandingkan nilai tindakan sebelumnya dengan yang terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran (GI) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Kademangan. Hasil penerapan model pembelajaran GI menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar pra tindakan adalah 52,59 pada pasca tindakan, nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 57,00. Peningkatan motivasi belajar dari pra tindakan ke pasca tindakan adalah 8,39%.

Abstract

The Waste Bank Program is one of the programs aimed to solve waste problems and can help contribute to the community to build the community's economy. The method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the waste bank on the socio-economic community in Banten province. Based on data analysis of the impact of the waste bank program on the socio-economic community in Banten, namely 41.5%, it can be said that the waste bank program has contributed to the socio-economic development of the community, namely the results of the Waste Bank can be used to help buy daily necessities, recycle (recycle). items that are not used, reuse items from the waste bank program and teach people to be creative by utilizing unused items (reduce). Thus the waste bank program has an impact on the socio-economic community. One of which is contributing to growing the economy, managing waste into goods of economic value, recycling waste to reduce waste that is not of value, and reusing recycled goods. The existence of the waste bank program has an economic, environmental, social and educational impact. 1) From an economic point of view, the waste bank provides a role like banks in general, namely there is a process of saving from the acquisition of waste that has been weighed in the form of waste savings, buying and selling waste. 2) Seen from the environmental perspective, the impact of the waste bank is very beneficial for the local community, because the existence of a waste bank can reduce the volume of waste in the community's living environment and final disposal site. 3) Seen from education, the Waste Bank manager teaches customers the importance of waste that can be managed, has economic value by making crafts and recycling unused waste.

Abstract

The reality of climate change has an impact on people's lives. People need to pay attention to climate change that is happening. Climate change that occurs needs to be anticipated early on. With climate change, people need to increase their sensitivity to disaster threats. Bilato Village is located in a coastal area vulnerable to climate change's effects. The Bilato village community impacts the livelihood system due to climate change. The aim of holding the outreach is so that the Bilato village community adapts to climate change's impacts by utilizing existing natural resources besides fishing and salt. The subject of community service is the villagers of Bilato. The community service method is carried out in three ways: observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The three findings of community service include a) how to reduce the impact of climate change, b) the village government's efforts to deal with climate change, and c) the fate of fishermen affected by climate change. Based on the results, it can be concluded that climate vulnerability and adaptive capacity with the climatepreneurship strategy of socialization participants understand climate change.

Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan sejauh mana siswa telah mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang meliputi pengetahuan, psikomotorik, dan sikap. Model pembelajaran berbasis negara (PBS) dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar. Model PBS mengkaji permasalahan fenomena geosfer pada studi geografi..Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBS terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Data primer berupa  hasil belajar diperoleh melalui pembelajaran di kelas XI IPS A dan XI IPS B di MA Miftahul Huda Ngreco Kandat. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal essay sebanyak 4 butir soal digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan indikator diantaranya, 1) mamahami, 2) menerapkan, 3) menganalisis, dan 4) mengevaluasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t pada SPSS 23 for Windows. Tingkat signifikansi untuk pengambilan keputusan pengujian hipotesis adalah 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya perbedaan. Terdapat perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model PBS dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model konvensional. Hasil uji hipotesis didasarkan pada taraf signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05.Abstract:  Student learning outcomes are very important to note in the world of education. Student learning outcomes show how far students have achieved learning objectives and the extent to which they have mastered the expected skills, knowledge, and attitudes. Spatial-based learning model (PBS) can be used to improve learning outcomes. The PBS model examines the problems of phenomena that occur in nature and culture on earth including geographical studies. In this study using a quasi-experimental method. Primary data in the form of learning outcomes were obtained through learning in class XI IPS A and XI IPS B at MA Miftahul Huda Ngreco Kandat. The instrument used is essay questions as many as 4 items used to measure student learning outcomes using indicators including, 1) understanding, 2) applying, 3) analyzing, and 4) evaluating. Data were analyzed using the t-test on SPSS 23 for Windows. The significance level for hypothesis testing decision making is 0.05. The results of this study indicate that there is a difference. There is a difference between the experimental class using the PBS model and the control class using the conventional model. The results of hypothesis testing are based on a significance level of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

Disasters in Indonesia can be detrimental every time they occur, Gorontalo, which is on the Pacific plate route, has the potential for disasters to occur, therefore it is necessary to be prepared for disasters, most victims of school-age children, the importance of disaster knowledge from an early age in order to reduce threats to children. among others (before, during, and after a disaster) conducted using the lecture method which is expected to provide an overview of disaster preparedness. from this counseling explains the culture of disaster preparedness where this explanation is carried out for six disasters that often occur in Indonesia. To reduce disaster risk, a culture of preparedness must be instilled from an early age on a regular basis so that disaster preparedness is a step to deal with disasters. disaster preparedness can be improved from a low level of knowledge to be better by implementing a daily disaster preparedness culture

Abstract

Pantai Molotabu merupakan salah satu obyek wisata Kota Gorontalo karena sangat dekat dengan Pusat Kota Gorontalo. Garis pantai Molotabu yang cukup panjang memiliki daya tarik saat berwisata. Pantai Molotabu memiliki keindahan dalam laut seperti terumbu karang yang sangat dekat dengan permukaan. Menjaga kebersihan lingkungan pantai merupakan kewajiban semua warga masyarakat agar dapat dinikmati secara berkelanjutan sehingga perlu ditumbuhkan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan hidup melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kebersihan lingkungan pantai penting untuk dikenalkan kepada siswa SDN 3 Kabila Bone yang merupakan bagian dari pesisir pantai Molotabu. Peran serta Siswa sangat penting dalam menjaga kebersihan pantai. Titik lokasi pengabdian masyarakat berada di pantai Molotabu Desa Molutabu. Peserta kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah siswa sekolah dasar yakni siswa SDN 3 Kabila Bone sebanyak 18 siswa teridri dari Putra dan Putri. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan sikap cinta lingkungan pantai kepada siswa SDN 03 Kabila Bone di Desa Molutabu, Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu metode ceramah dengan teknik presentasi materi dilanjutkan dengan diskusi. Kegiatan ini dikemas dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan praktek menjaga lingkungan pantai sekitar. Adapun kegiatan penyuluhan berlangsung aktif dan proses diskusi berlangsung dengan peserta didik. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan kebersihan lingkungan pantai kepada siswa meningkat setelah kegiatan penyuluhan dilaksanakan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada peserta didik Siswa SDN 3 Kabila Bone ini sebagai upaya penguatan pendidikan karakter dan menumbuhkan cinta lingkungan sekitar serta menjaga kelestarian dan peduli lingkungan pantai Molotabu.

Abstract

Understanding how the environment, especially climate, affects the growth of pests (life cycle) is very important to create management techniques that reduce or eliminate damage to rice plants and minimize the resulting losses.  This study aims to describe population dynamics modeling based on the influence of climate parameters using the DYMEX software.  Climate and life cycle characteristics, which can be processed in the DYMEX life cycle module, are two important elements in modeling the rice stem borer.  Egg, larval, and imago populations exhibit a variety of climate-related effects.  The larval stage is most visible in the month of MJJA, where rainfall intensity is low or during the dry season.  This indicates that the larval stage can survive through diapause in the dry season.  The correct numbers must be used to initialize and parameterize models created using DYMEX.  Overall, DYMEX can produce good simulation results in all life stages of the modeled insects.  However, obtaining good, precise simulation results requires the user's accuracy in building the model, especially the values of the input parameters.  In addition, to test the results of the DYMEX simulation, it is necessary to validate them with the actual conditions of the population in the field.
