Abstract

ABSTRACT Operational of family planning program that has been implemented leads women as target causes purpose of the International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo in 1994 that promote reproductive rights, women empowerment and gender equality has been agreed by all countries haven’t been achieve, one of them is implementation of men’s contraception. The research held from February-December 2014 applying observation, document study and photos, survey with questioners, and further interview. Lawrence Green’s Behavior Change Model showed policies that are enforced normatively by KBKS of Badung regency, differ with the existing situation. Highly knowledge of the respondents about method of vasectomy didn’t influence the decision to choose the contraception method. Awarding of money incentive and contraception services from PLKB and PKB didn’t give significant interest to respondents.The existence of Men Contraception Group was not optimal yet and testimony of experience from previous vasectomy acceptor didn’t interest to the respondents undergo surgery of vasectomy or join themselves to Men Contraception Group Kata kunci: Men, Participation, Vasectomy Contraception Method, Family Planning Program

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research focuses on change of Gandrung dance. The background of this research is the view of Islamic religious leaders who view the Gandrung dance as an art that is not in accordance with religious principles. The theory used is Michel Foucault's Power of Relation theory. The results showed that the Gandrung dance had changed due to the power of knowledge that was continuously produced by Islamic religious figures on Gandrung dance then causing this dance to undergo changes in various aspects: changes in dancers from male to female, song changes, changes in the paju stage and the last change in Gandrung dance is change of clothes. The positive impact of this art becomes more politely and closed in terms of appearance while the negative impact is the loss of philosophical values ??and local wisdom contained in the dance of Gandrung dance. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe and analyze further about thrifting phenomenon in relation to the environmental risks production of fast fashion industry. The approach used in this study is qualitative with descriptive exploratory types. The teory used is the risk society by Ulrich Beck. The result of this study shows that fast fashion industry risks in Kota Denpasar capable of rising environmental awareness for the majority of the informants. Thrifting is believed can make clothes lifespan longer and to minimize the risks by fast fashion consumption. Furthermore, there are three aspects that urge consumers to thrift those are economic aspect, environmental aspect, and individual aspect. In addition, the existence of health impact by wearing second hand clothes turns out doesn’t change consumer perception about their second hand consumption. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study analyzes how the role of the Setia Darma House of Mask and Puppets as an information center to preserve and maintain the traditional arts of local culture. The method used in this research is quaIitative with an explanative descriptive type. The theory used is the local cultural empowerment theory from Jim Ife. This theory explains how the empowerment of local culture is an important part and component in instilling a sense of community to appreciate and maintain the preservation of local culture. From the analysis carried out, there were various positions conveyed by the informants. Most of the informations revealed that changes by presering and maintaining local cultural arts.The owner is sentral to empowering the Balinese dan Indonesia culture. The empowerment of local culture has been carried out to create changes towards the better so that traditional arts are more appreciated by the wider community. Abstract

Dispute between "I" and "me" uses the self of the prospective pastor to minimize and anticipate pastors who are involved in social problems. The purpose is to explain the process of disagreement between "I" and "me" in the candidate for pastor and analyze ideal self-concept of the ideal pastor in his status and role as the pastor of the Bali Unshakeable Church. This research uses George Herbert Mead's self-concept and uses a descriptive-exploratory research method using a qualitative approach. The results show that various socialization media have their respective values and norms that apply and have the potential to create clashes that cause disputes within prospective pastors and affect them. The ideal pastor in the Bali Unshakeable Church is to imitate Jesus and have the fruit of the Spirit, while the role of the pastor is to preach in front of the pulpit and lead the life of the congregation.

Abstract

A coffee shop is a place that provides various types of processed coffee. The sustainability of the coffee shop experienced a few obstacles when facing the current state of the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-explanative type of research. The theory used in this research is James S. Coleman's rational choice theory. This study examines the strategy for the sustainability of coffee shops in Surakarta City during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the results of this study, an appropriate strategy is needed to maintain the sustainability of coffee shops during the current pandemic. Some of the strategies used by coffee shops in Surakarta City and considered cost-effective, such as discount promos and bundling packages, implementing employee work shifts, adding new menus and coffee education through social media to consumers. This study also explains the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sustainability of coffee shops. Keywords: Coffee Shop, Strategy, Covid-19, Rational Choice

Abstract

This study will analyze the social exchange between fishing workers and skippers in Mandar Village, Sumenep Regency, Madura. The research method used is qualitative research. This study uses the exchange theory of George Homans. Social exchanges that occur between fishing workers, namely fishermen workers form a group of fellow fishermen workers, in this group fishing workers exchange information about work. Social exchange between independent fishermen and fish collectors occurs because they need each other, independent fishermen when experiencing difficulties will be assisted by fish collectors which causes independent fishermen to continue to sell their fish to the same fish collectors. Social exchange between fishing workers and fishermen who own capital, namely laborers if they experience difficulties, will be assisted by their bosses so that workers will respond by cleaning and disposing of water from the boats belonging to fishermen who own capital even though it is outside of their job. Abstract

Masculinity is a concept that has always been related to gender, social roles and men. In the phenomenon of masculinity is closely related to life in this modern world, for example the masculinity of K-Pop boygroup fanboys that can give rise to a stigma. The theory used in this study is the theory of deconstruction by Jaques Derrida. This study examined the masculinity of K-Pop boygroup fanboys in Denpasar City which is often questioned and even given stigma. This is because K-Pop music is displayed by prioritizing dance, makeup, physical appearance, and clothing. Furthermore, the image of the Korean music industry mostly provides a cute, girly, and sweet style. In this study also explained how the construction of masculinity understood by society with masculinity created by idol boy group K-Pop and showed the or absence of stigma against the masculinity of K-Pop boygroup fanboys in Denpasar City. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has raised public awareness of the importance of health. This is evidenced by the emergence of cycling trends during the Covid-19 pandemic, cycling is considered safe and implementing elements of health protocols, namely maintaining distance and without physical contact. This study aims to describe and explain why people choose cycling as a rational choice of sport during the Denpasar City pandemic and how its social impact is. The theory used in this research is James S Coleman's rational choice theory. The results of the field research show that considerations of costs, benefits, risk of infection and limited options are the basis for people to choose cycling and other factors are friends and social media. The positive social impact is new friends, new knowledge and increased enthusiasm for sports, the negative impact is population density and there are still many cyclists who do not obey the rules on the road. Abstract

Acculturation is a social process in which a certain group adopt new and different cultural elements. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive-explanative type and it implemented AGIL (Adaptation, Goal-attainment, Integration, and Latency) theory by Talcott Parsons. It examined the acculturation of Chinese and Balinese culture in Langgahan Village since the period of the Balingkang kingdom in Bangli. This study also examined the forms of Chinese’s acculturation during Odalan Kongco and Odalan Pura Dalem, Imlek, Galungan and Kuningan, as well as the existence of Sanggah and Nyolo buildings in every Chinese’s house.
