Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji waktu inokulasi terbaik dan pemberian berbagai jenis mulsa organik terhadap produksi kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L. Var. Takar) pada lahan salin dengan tingkat salinitas 6,4 dS/m. Penelitian kali ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bulakbaru, Kecamatan Kedung, Kabupaten Jepara. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah RAK Faktorial 4 x 3 dengan 3 kelompok. Faktor pertama adalah perbedaan waktu inokulasi Rhizobium sp. yaitu T0: tanpa inokulasi, T1: inokulasi saat tanam, T2: inokulasi 7 HST, dan inokulasi 14 HST. Faktor kedua adalah berbagai jenis mulsa organik yaitu R0: tanpa mulsa organik, R1: mulsa organik jerami padi, dan R2: mulsa organik sekam padi. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah polong per petak, bobot polong per petak, jumlah biji per petak, jumlah bintil akar dan bobot 100 biji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa R1 menunjukkan peningkatan rerata tinggi tanaman sebesar 62,1 cm dan T1 menunjukkan rerata jumlah bintil akar tertinggi sebesar 1,86/tanaman. Tidak ada pengaruh dan interaksi pad parameter lain. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah mulsa organik jerami mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman dan waktu inokulasi saat tanam dapat meningkatkan jumlah bintil akar di lahan dengan tingkat salinitas 6,4 dS/m. Abstract

ABSTRACT  The purpose of this research was figured out of goat manure and FeSO4 by added concentrations of FeSO4 to growth and producton of red lettuce. It was done by using by 2x3 completely randomized design with 5 times. The first factor was goat manure (no goat manure and goat manure) and the second factor were various concentrations of FeSO4 (0 ppm, 2.0 ppm dan 2.5 ppm).. Parameters observed were plant height, fresh weight, chlorophyll, and betacarotene. The result showed that the treatment of goat manure gave more significant effect (p<0,05) compared with no goat mannure at plant height, fresh weight, and betacarotene but insignificant at chlorophyll. The treaments of FeSO4 (2 and 2.5 ppm) insignificant at all of parameters. Keywords : lettuce, goat manure, FeSO4 ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan pupuk kotoran kambing dengan penambahan dosis FeSO4 terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada merah. Penelitian disusun dengan percobaan faktorial 2x3 rancangan acak lengkap 5 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk kotoran kambing (kontrol dan pupuk kotoran kambing) dan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi FeSO4 (0 ppm, 2.0 ppm dan 2.5 ppm). Parameter yang diamati yaitu, tinggi tanaman, berat segar, klorofil, dan betakaroten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian pupuk kandang memberikan hasil yang nyata (p<0,05) lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa pupuk kandang terhadap tinggi tanaman, berat segar, dan betakaroten, tetapi tidak nyata pada klorofil. Pada perlakuan FeSO4 2 dan 2.5 ppm tidak menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter. Kata kunci : Selada, pupuk kotoran kambing, FeSO4

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to assess the effectiveness of soil solarization and biological agent Trichoderma harzianum application in controlling lateblight disease caused by Phytophthora infestans on potato. The experiment was assigned in a split plot design with soil solarization as main plot and the density of Trichoderma harzianum as sub-plot. Soil solarization treatment consisted of solarization (A1) and non-solarization (B1). Density of Trichoderma harzianum used is B1(control)= 0g, B2 = 10g (107 cfu/l), B3 = 20g (2 x 108 cfu/l), B4 = 30g (3 x 108 cfu/l) and B5 = 40 g (4 x 108 cfu/l). Soil solarization treatment is carried out by using transparent polyethylene sheets with a thickness of 45 µm. Parameters measured were soil temperature, intensity level of pathogen attack, the rate of infection and total yield. Data were subjected to ANOVA and followed by LSD test. Soil solarization for 4 weeks increase the soil temperature by 7,6oC and significantly increase the production of potato by 14.28%. Application of biological agent Trichoderma harzianum on level B4 30g (3 x 108 cfu /L) gives the best results in reducing the the intensity level of pathogen attack by 69.13% and the rate of disease infection into 1,012 unit/day. The results of this research may provide benefical information in the future for plant protection activities.   Keywords : P.infestans, Trichoderma harzianum, soil solarization, potato

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to observe of bioslurry fertilizer dosage and plant spacing on growth and production of pakchoy plant. The research used Factorial Completely Randomized Design 4x2 and 3 time replication. The first factor was bioslurry fertilizer dosage (0, 3, 6, 9 ton/ha). The second factor was plant spacing (20x20 cm; 25x25 cm). Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, production of fresh and dried leaves.Data were analysis of variabel and further test with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result showed that combination of bioslurry fertilizer dosage and plant spacing were significantly affect of leaf area, production of fresh and dried leaves. The bioslurry fertilizer dosage showed significant result of all parameters. Plant spacing showed significant result of leaf area, production of fresh and dried leaves. Bioslurry fertilizer dosage 9 ton/ha with plant spacing 20x20 cm and 25x25 cm increase leaf area, production of fresh and dried leaves. Bioslurry fertilizer dosage 9 ton/ha increase all parameters. Raw plant spacing increse leaf area but decrease production of fresh and dried leaves.Keywords: Pakchoy, dosage, bioslurry fertilizer, plant spacing. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk bioslurry dan jarak tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman pakchoy. Faktor kedua adalah jarak tanam (20x20 cm, 25x25 cm). Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, produksi segar dan kering tajuk. Data dianalisis ragam, kemudian apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh interaksi yang nyata terhadap luas daun, produksi segar dan kering tajuk. Dosis pupuk berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter penelitian. Jarak tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter luas daun, produksi segar dan kering tajuk. Dosis pupuk bioslurry 9 ton/ha dengan jarak tanam 20x20 cm dan 25x25cm mampu meningkatkan luas daun, produksi segar dan kering tajuk. Dosis pupuk bioslurry 9 ton/ha meningkatkan semua parameter penelitian. Jarak tanam yang semakin lebar mampu meningkatkan luas daun tetapi menurunkan produksi segar dan kering tajuk.Kata kunci: Pakchoy, dosis, pupuk bioslurry, jarak tanam

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The goal of this research was to study the growth of Dracaena sanderiana plants with different shade intensities and different composition of plant media. The research was carried out in Sukorejo village, Karangrejo sub-district, Tulungagung, East Java and Physiology and Plant Breeding Laboratory, Diponegoro University, from January to April 2018. The basic design used in this research was a split plot design. 3 x 3 with 4 replications. The main plot factor was shade intensity : 0%, 50% and 70%, and the subplot factor was different composition of plant media (soil, husks, chicken manure; soil, husks, cow manure; soil, husks and goat manure). The results showed that the treatment of the difference in the composition of the planting media had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, while the shade treatment had a significant effect on the chlorophyll parameters b. The best planting media was obtained in the composition with cow manure compared to the composition of chicken manure and goat manure. The highest chlorophyll content was obtained in 50% shade conditions. In the parameters of the number of leaves, leaf length, number of roots, fresh weight and chlorophyll a were not significantly different in all treatments.  ABSTRAK  Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji pertumbuhan tanaman Dracaena sanderiana dengan berbaga intensitas naungan yang berbeda dan komposisi media tanam yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan desa Sukorejo, kecamatan karangrejo, Tulungagung, Jawa Timur dan laboratorium Fisiologi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang dari bulan Januari sampai April 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terpisah 3x3 dengan dasar Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 ulangan. Petak utama adalah intensitas naungan 0%, 50% dan 70%, dan anak petak adalah perbedaan komposisi media tanam (tanah, sekam, kotoran ayam; tanah, sekam, kotoran sapi; tanah, sekam dan kotoran kambing). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada perlakuan perbedaan komposisi media tanam memberikan pengaruh nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman, sedangkan pada perlakuan naungan memberikan pengaruh nyata pada parameter khlorofil b. Media tanam terbaik didapatkan pada komposisi dengan kotoran sapi dibandingkan dengan komposisi kotoran ayam dan kotoran kambing. Pada kondisi naungan 50% didapatkan kandungan khlorofil tertinggi dibandingkan kondisi tanpa naungan dan naungan 70%. Pada parameter jumlah daun, panjang daun, jumlah akar, berat basah dan khlorofil a tidak berbeda nyata pada semua perlakuan. Kata kunci : Dracaena sanderiana, khlorofil b, komposisi, naungan

Abstract

Problems in the cultivation of plants pakchoy caused by the influence of the physical environment such as climate, wind, temperature, the intensity of solar radiation, humidity, and soil. The research aims to know types of mulch and patterns of the plant spacing for optimizing on growth and yield of pakchoy. This experiment had been conducted in the experimental field Margahayu, Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran, Lembang on September-November 2016. The design of the research which used was randomized block design factorial with 9 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The first factor is “Types of Mulch”, the use of M0 (no mulch), M1 (black silver plastic mulch), and M2 (rice straw mulch). The second factor is “The Plant Spacing Patterns”, which are J0 (10x10 cm_triangle), J1 (20x20 cm_square), and J2 (30x30 cm_hexagonal). Data was analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan Multiple’s Range Test (DMRT) at α=5%. The result showed that the use of black silver plastic mulch and spacing pattern of 20x20 cm (square) is a combination of the best treatment because it has the fresh weight of the canopy and the fresh weight of the roots of the most highest when compared to treatment with a combination of other, namely fresh weight of canopy 5,02 kg and weight of fresh roots 253,6 g.

Abstract

 The purpose of the research was to study the concentration of NaOCl and drying method during the extraction process for germination and growth of tomato seedlings. This study used Completely Randomized Design with two factors with three replicates. The first factor was soaking the seeds with NaOCl concentrations: NaOCl 0% (control), NaOCl 6%, NaOCl 9% and NaOCl 13%. The second factor was the drying methods: without drying (control), natural drying and drying using oven. The parameters observed were germination, seed growth rate, maximum growth potential, leaf size, leaf area, plant height, plant growth rate and relative plant growth rate. The data were analyzed using variance analysis and continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) of 5%. The result of variance analysis showed that immersion treatment using NaOCl and drying method had not given interaction during seed germination and seedling growth. Soaking with 9% NaOCl showed the best result of germination process and seedling growth whereas the best drying method was naturally because it did not cause impermeability of seeds. Abstract

This research aimed to observe the response of different incubation period and dosage of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) based on vegetable and fruit local microorganism on cherry tomato growth and production. This research was conducted at Operational Greenhouse, Balai Benih Pertanian Kota Semarang Gunung Pati, Semarang. The research was conducted by 3x3 factorial experiments with 3 replications. The first factor was 6, 12, 18 days of incubation period and the second factor was 120, 240, 360 ml/plant dosage of LOF. The observed parameters were fruit N uptake, plant height, fruit diameter and fruit fresh weight. Results of study showed that both treatments had no significant effect on fruit diameter and fruit fresh weight caused by lack of P in LOF so that the overall fruit production was not optimum. Interaction between both treatments showed significant effect on fruit N uptake when on short incubation period, the dosage used was higher and vice versa. Six days of incubation with 240 ml/plant dosage gave the highest efficiency on improving fruit N uptake. Incubation period has no significant effect but the dosage of 360 ml/plant significantly gave optimum effect on plant height in comparison with dosage of 120 and 240 ml/plant. This research can be concluded that LOF with 6 days of incubation with dosage used between 240-360 ml/plant was efficient to improve growth of cherry tomato plant and addition of fertilizer was needed to improve production of cherry tomato. Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research aimed to identify the effect of fertilizer type and concentration of AB Mix substitution with fertilizer on growth and yield of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. crispa). The research was conducted at Greenhouse of Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Protection Institute, Central Java. The method of this research is Randomized Complete Design Factorial 2 x 5 with 3 replications. First factor is fertilizer type, consist of A1: Azolla extract and A2: gamal leaves esxtract. Second factor is concentration of AB Mix substitution with fertilizer, consist of B0: 0%, B1: 25%, B2: 50%, B3: 75% and B4: 100%. The observed parameters were plant height, number of leaves, root length, crop growth rate, plant yield and plant dry weight. Data were processed by Analysis of Variance and continued by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result showed that there is interaction effect on plant height and plant yield. The conclusion is treatment of AB Mix substitution with Azolla extract fertilizer 25% and gamal leaves extract fertilizer 25% have same result with treatment without substitution on vegetative growth of red lettuce. Data diolah dengan analisis ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pengaruh interaksi pada parameter tinggi tanaman dan produksi tanaman. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah perlakuan subtitusi AB Mix dengan pupuk ekstrak Azolla 25% dan daun gamal 25% memberikan hasil yang sama dengan perlakuan tanpa subtitusi terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman selada merah. Perlakuan subtitusi AB Mix dengan pupuk ekstrak Azolla 50% dan subtitusi AB Mix dengan pupuk ekstrak daun gamal 25% memberikan hasil yang sama dengan perlakuan tanpa subtitusi terhadap produksi tanaman selada merah. Abstract

This research has an aim to observe the production of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) on hydroponic technology of floating system with red and blue LED (Light Emitting Diode) at night. This research was conducted inside the Screenhouse in which located on the top of Griya Kads House building, Bulusan Village, Tembalang Sub-district from May to June 2017. The research was conducted by 3x3 factorial experiments in Nested Design with 3 replications. The first factor was 0, 1.5 and 3 hours irradiation of red and blue LED lights at night. The second factor was 3, 5 and 7 ml/liter of AB mix nutrient concentration which was nested in the first factor. The data collected were fresh weight, dry weight and root canopy ratio. The results of the study showed that the treatment of AB mix nutrient concentration had no significant effect on all parameters. The production of lettuce with level of 5 ml concentration of AB mix was quite good, yet 3 ml and 7 ml levels didn’t improve lettuce production. The duration of red and blue LED irradiation only resulted in an increase in the production of canopy fresh weight. This research can be concluded that 3 hours was sufficient to give the good results to improve the results of lettuce plants production.
