Abstract

Abstrak   This research was conducted on September-November 2018. The purpose of this study to find out the use of fermented mustard and cabbage wastesflour (FMCWF)in diet on feed digestibility, feed efficiency and growth ofAsian redtail catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus). The method used is using a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatment applied in the study is P0 (100: 0%), P1 (95: 5%), P2 (90: 10%), P3 (85: 15%) and P4 (80: 20%). The results showed fermentation of mustard and cabbage wastes flour had an effect on feed efficiency, protein retention, specific growth rate. The best treatment is feed containing 20% fermented mustard and cabbagewaste flour which produces feed digestibility68.55%, protein digestibility 76.32%, feed efficiency 37.71%, protein retention 32.27%, specific growth rate 3.43% and survival rate 96.6%. The results of measurements of water quality during the study, namely temperatures of 26-30oC, pH ranged from 6-8, DO 4.2-4.5 mg/L and ammonia 0.001 ppm. Keywords : Fermentation, (Hemibagrus nemurus), Mustard and Cabbage waste

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted during 56 days from May to July 2018, it is located in Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, SeiTibun, Kampar, Riau. This study aims to know the growth of tambaqui (Colossomamacropomum) fingerling which is given the artificial feed consist of kaliandra leaf meat fermented using cow rumen liquor. The method used in this study is the experimental method using a completely randomized design (RAL) with five treatments and three replications. This research need 300 fingerlings of tambaqui (initial weight 0,7-1 g and length 2-3 cm). Fish were reared in 1m3 in cages with stocking density approximately 20/cage. Feeding trials were replacing soybean meal with kaliandra leaf fermentation applied to P1(0%), P2(30%), P3(40%), P4(50%) and P5(60%) respectively for 35% of protein content. The result showed that fermentation kaliandra leaf has significant effect (P<0,05) in digestibility, feed efficiency, protein retentionand specific growth rate. Replacement  50% of kaliandra leaf fermented is the best response for producing the highest specific growth rate 5,9%, feed efficiency 54,4%, protein retention 66,42%, digestibility 78,63% and survival rate 100%. Based on the result of present research, replacement 50% level ofkaliandra leaf meal fermented as soybean meal substitution is recommended in pradical diet of tambaqui fingerling for growth performance. The water quality parameters consist of temperature about 23,4-30oC, power Hydrogen (pH) 5-5,6 and dissolved oxygen at 4-5 ppm. Keyword:Colossomamacropomum, Water Hyacinth, Fermented, Kaliandra Meal

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted for 56 days , the aim to determine the effect and get the percentage fermented turi leaf (Sesbania grandiflora) Meal with Trichoderma sp. in feed on feed efficiency. This study uses completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, with 5 treatment levels and 3 repetitions. The test feed used in this study was artificial feed with a protein content of 35% with a percentage Utilization of FTLM namely 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and  20%. Test feed given as much as 10% of the weight of biomass per day with the frequency of feeding three times throughout the day is at 08.00, 12.00 and 16.00. The fish used in this research with in 0,99 g of weight. Fish were reaered in 15 cage units (0,5x0,5x1 m3) with the stocking density of 20 fish/m3.  The results showed that the percentage of FTLM significant effect (P<0,05) on feed  efficiency, protein retention and specific growth rate but did not significantly affect the survival rate of green catfish fingerlings. Based on the results of this study concluded that Utilization of FTLM  10% give the best respons on the feed  efficiency 43,08%, protein retention 30,10%, specific growth rate 3,86% and survival rate 96,67%. Keywords : Fermented Turi Leaf Meal, Hemibagrus nemurus, Growth, Trichoderma sp.
