Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to produce a science magazine, analyze the level of validity and the level of practicality of student responses to science magazines on phytochemical screening and antibacterial and antifungal activity tests of kulur (artocarpus camansi) leaf extracts. The sample in this study used purposive sampling technique, namely 30 students who have programmed Natural Material Chemistry courses and are not currently participating in the MBKM program. Data collection methods used in this study are expert validation sheets and student response questionnaire sheets. The data analysis technique used was data analysis of validation results and analysis of student responses. The results of this study indicate that science magazines have been developed and are feasible to use with an average expert validation score of Aiken's V index = 0.94 which is included in the very valid category, besides the results of student response trials show that science magazines get an average percentage of practicality of 92% which is included in the very practical category. Keywords: Science Magazine, Phytochemical Screening, Antibacterial, Antifungal, Kulur Leaf, Validity, Practicality

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) learning model on chemical learning outcomes of acid-base material in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Langgudu. This type of research is a quasi experimental design. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Langgudu which amounted to 50 people. The sampling technique used saturated sampling. Determination of control and experimental classes is based on the average value of the midterm assessment, students of class XI IPA 1 obtained a greater average value of 78.76 than class XI IPA 2 which is 70.16 so that class XI IPA 1 is designated as the control class and XI IPA 2 as the experimental class. Data collection techniques using test instruments. The average value of the experimental class pretests (49.12) was lower than the control class (52.28). While the average value of the experimental class posttest (84.4) is higher than the control class (76.92). The N-Gain test results show that the increase in learning outcomes of experimental class students is more in the high category than the control class. The t-test results obtained tcount of 2.4091> ttable 2.0106 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. While the results of the percentage of student activeness of the experimental class at each meeting were higher than the control class, so that experimental class students were more active than the control class. The results of this study can be concluded that the POE learning model (Predict, Observe, Explain, and Explain) is an effective learning model.

Abstract

This research is a development research or Research and Development (R&D) which aims to produce Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) which are categorized as feasible and practical regarding green chemistry material. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) which refers to the 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). Validation of the content of LKPD based on PjBL was carried out by two Chemistry Education lecturers and one Chemistry subject teacher at the high school level. The results of the study showed that the validity value obtained using the Aiken's V Index was 0.92 in the very valid category. The level of practicality was measured through student responses to LKPD based on PjBL. The results of the analysis of student responses were in the very practical category with a practicality percentage of 86%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that LKPD Based on PjBL on green chemistry material that was developed is feasible and practical to be used in learning because it has met the valid and practical categories.
