Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the speed, agility and quickness (SAQ) exercise in improving physical fitness. The sample of this study was a student of  a male in the Study Program of Sports Education Teacher Training and Education Faculty Universitas  Muhammadiyah  Surakarta peers of 30 people, to determine the sample using purposive sampling. This research method uses quasi-experimental research. Data analysis techniques using a constellation of one group pretest_posttest design. Data analysis techniques used in this study are using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, descriptive analysis is used to describe the results of this research while inferential analysis using paired test samples at a significant level ?= 0.05 analysis used with the help of SPSS version 20.0. The results of this study showed that there is a significant influence of exercise speed, agility, and quickness (SAQ) to improve physical fitness in students of sports education FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Based on these findings, it can be assumed that SAQ training is an effective exercise to improve physical fitness. However, further research is needed to pay attention to other exercise methods that are associated with improving physical condition.

Abstract

The Motorcycle performance can be improved by modifying the intake manifold and exhaust manifold. In this research, the exhaust manifold was modified using a Torque Expansion Chamber (TEC), namely adding a tube to the exhaust manifold with a certain geometry and dimensions so that the heat carried by the exhaust gas is retained and does not directly escape through the exhaust. This test aims to determine the performance of a motorbike with a modified exhaust manifold by adding 250 mm tubular TEC. TEC installation with placement at 40%, 50%, and 60% of the exhaust manifold length. Engine performance including torque, power and specific fuel consumption is measured using the Dyno Test. The research results show that the use of the Torque Expansion Chamber has an effect on motorbike performance. Highest torque with 50% TEC placement and 60% TEC placement at 5000 rpm. Highest power with 50% TEC placement and 60% TEC placement at 6000 rpm to 6500 rpm. Lowest specific fuel consumption with 50% TEC placement at 6000 rpm

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of adding a one-tube and two-tube Torque Expansion Chamber (TEC) to the exhaust manifold on motorbike performance. Torque Expansion Chamber includes one tube with one channel and two channels, two tubes with one channel and two channels. Motorbike performance testing includes torque, power and specific fuel consumption (kbbs) using the Dyno Test. Research shows that by adding TEC, variations in the number of tubes and number of channels have an effect on better performance than standard exhaust manifolds. The best torque with the addition of one two-channel tube and two two-channel TEC. Best power with the addition of one two-channel tube and two two-channel TEC. Best fuel consumption with the addition of one tube two channel TEC.
