Abstract

Belajar bersama masyarakat adalah kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa yang mempunyai tujuan umum mendukung dan memprakarsai segala proses pembangunan di masyarakat demi meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa Universitas Djuanda Bogor dibagi 20 kelompok di tujuh Kecamatan Kabupaten Bogor. Ada beberapa aspek yaitu pendidikan, kesehatan, lingkungan, dan ekonomi lokal. Melalui program KKN diharapkan Mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan keluarganya dan diri sendiri. Menjadi keluarga yang mampu menghadapi persoalan-persoalan yang datang. Mahasiswa berhasil membentuk program yang meliputi bidang kesehatan melakukan program Jumat bersih, jalan sehat, bidang ekonomi menginovasi kuliner dengan berbagai inovasi-inovasi baru, kerajinan, seminar dan pengolahan sampah dan mencapai target 80 persen dengan kendala utama terbatasnya modal dan sinergitas antara masayarat, swasta dan pemerintah daerah.Kata kunci: pemberdayaan masyarakat, belajar bersama masyarakat, kesehatan, ekonomi. LEARNING WITH THE COMMUNITY THROUGH KKN ACTIVITIES IN EDUCATION, ENVIRONMAN, ECONOMY, AND RELIGION ABSTRACTLearning with the community is an activity carried out by students who have a general purpose to support and initiate all development processes in society in order to improve the welfare of the community. This activity was followed by students of Djuanda University Bogor divided by 20 groups in seven sub-districts of Bogor Regency. There are several aspects of education, health, environment, and local economy. Through the KKN program, students are expected to improve the quality of their family life and themselves. Being a family capable of dealing with the problems that come. Students succeeded in establishing programs covering the health field of clean Friday programs, healthy roads, the economic field of culinary innovation with new innovations, crafts, seminars and waste processing and achieving 80 percent target with the main constraints of limited capital and synergy between private, local government.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ialah memiliki sebuah tujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruhnya dari kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SDN Pajajaran Bogor. Di dalam penelitian ini metode penelitiannya ialah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi fungsional. Setelah diadakannya penelitian, hasil menunjukkan bahwa terbukti adanya pengaruh antara kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan uji t yaitu kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 8,306 yang lebih besar dari nilai ttabel 2,000. Serta nilai signifikansi kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi antara kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar sebesar 53,50% sedangkan 46,50% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain.KATA KUNCI: Kemandirian Belajar, Hasil Belajar.  THE INFLUENCE OF INDEPENDENCE LEARNING TO NATURAL SCIENCES LEARNING OUTCOMESABSTRACT This study aims to determine how the influence of independence learning on learning outcomes on science of fourth grade student of Pajajaran Bogor Elementary School. The method used is quantitative correlation approach functional. Research shows that there are significants between independence learning towards science learning outcomes. This is evidence by the results of the caculation of the Ttest is independence learning with science learning outcomes obtained value tcount 8,306 which is more greater than table 2000. And the significant value independence learning with learning results of 0,000 which is less than 0,05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Coefficient of determination between the calculation result independence learning with Learning Outcomes of 53,50% while 46,50% are influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan belajar siswa pada materi operasi hitung campuran perkalian dan pembagian menggunakan metode picture and picture. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus dengan menggunakan model siklus Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Dalam model ini terdapat empat tahapan yang harus dilakukan pada tiap siklusnya yaitu plan (perencanaan), act (pemberian tindakan), observe (pengamatan), dan reflect (refleksi). Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas empat Sekolah Dasar Negeri Cibunian 01 Kecamatan Pamijahan Kabupaten Bogor yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Data diperoleh dari observasi langsung selama pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika pada siklus 1 memperoleh nilai (76,33) dengan persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 86,67%, sedangkan siklus 2 memperoleh nilai rata-rata (82) dengan persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 93,33%. Begitu pula dengan hasil keaktifan belajar siswa menunjukan adanya peningkatan pada keaktifan siswa dengan persentase sebesar 63,33% pada siklus 1, meningkat pada siklus 2 dengan persentase 86,67%, sehingga dapat mencapai kriteria keberhasilan yang diharapkan pada siklus 2. Dengan demikian, hasil belajar matematika dan keaktifan belajar siswa SDN Cibunian 01 Kecamatan Pamijahan Kabupaten Bogor dapat ditingkatkan dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang disesuaikan.Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, keaktifan, matematika, metode picture and picture.EFFORT TO IMPROVE THE LEARNING RESULT OF STUDY MATHEMATICS AND LIVELINESS  BY USING LEARNING METHOD OF PICTUREABSTRACTClassroom action research aims to improve learning outcomes and activeness of students in the basic concepts of arithmetic operations mixture of multiplication and division by using  picture and picture method. This study is conducted by two cycles using Kemmis cycle models and Mc Taggart. In this model, there are four steps which must be done for each cycle, they are plan, act, observe, and reflect. The subject of this study are all IV grade students of  Cibunian state elementary school, Pamijahan sub district Bogor regency. It consists of 30 students. The data are collected by using observation, achievement test, and documentation. The results of the research shows the average grade of mathematics by using picture and picture on the first cycle scored are (76,33) the percentage of students who pass the test are 86,67%, while the second cycle obtain the average grade (82) the percentage of completing the test are 93,33%. for so the results of students’ activity are increase in the participation of the students at 63,33% in the first cycle, it increases in the second cycle at 86,67%, thus achieving the success criteria is expected in the second cycle. Thus, the results of studying mathematics and students' learning activeness of Cibunian state elementary school, Pamijahan sub district Bogor regency can be improved by applying picture and picture learning method.

Tekstil dengan aneka ragam jenis produk memiliki berbagai keunggulan masing – masing. Baik dari segi bahan, warna, motif dan yang lainnnya. Terutama dari segi pewarnaan, produk tekstil memiliki daya tarik yang unik.

Abstract

This article tried to shed some light on how a radiology resident experienced challenges in using English during his study. Employing narrative inquiry, the data were collected from semi-structured interviews with a radiology resident currently studying at a state university in Indonesia. Meaningful experiences and insights were highlighted and elaborated. They were also discussed and corresponded with previous studies or existing theories. Understanding English textbooks with unfamiliar words made him spend longer time to understand English written materials. He was also required to publish articles in reputable journals and present papers in scientific forums. Meanwhile, he didn't have enough time due to his busy schedule at the hospital. He pointed out that basic English knowledge might helpful in the beginning, but once it got into specialty field of radiology there were many new terms to learn. Besides, willingness to learn English with fellow residents and from supporting tools were essential for success. He found some online tools very beneficial to make his work much easier and faster. However, those tools were still limited in some aspects and face-to-face learning activity was still needed. It implies the need for ESP learning design for busy residents which accommodates digital tools optimization and practical academic purposes.

Abstract

This article discussed the form of speech acts and language politeness in interaction among residents by focusing on the speeches containing the words "izin (permission)" and "mohon izin (I beg your permission)". Not only for asking permission, these words are used in various speech acts. The data for this study were taken from written conversations among residents through WhatsApp group application. The data were collected using documentation and interview. Then, the data were analyzed using the pragmatic equivalent method. The results of data analysis showed that the words "izin" and "mohon izin" were used in various speech acts, namely assertive, directive, commissive, declarative, and expressive. These words were the embodiment of negative politeness strategies by trying as little as possible to violate the negative face of the interlocutor. The forms of speech in junior and senior resident interactions used a combination of positive politeness strategies and negative politeness strategies. The use of these words was due to the desire to speak politely and to follow the prevailing customs. This study implied the importance of speaking politely in accordance with the customs or conventions that apply to certain communities.Keywords: pragmatics, politeness, residents, speech acts

Abstract

This article discusses how the language translation is utilized in the city name riddles presented by Indonesian speakers. This research is descriptive qualitative. Data in the form of city name riddles were collected from three videos on Kampung Inggris LC and Kampung Inggris WE YouTube channels which were uploaded in September--October 2021 using simak and catat method. The data is then analyzed by comparing translations of words or phrases in the other languages involved. The results of the analysis show the use of one-word translation forms, nomina phrase translation, verb phrase translation, prepositional phrase translation, and clause translation from English to Indonesian or Javanese. The translation of these words has similarities with the names of cities in Indonesia. Some words represent lexical translations, but others only have similar meanings or are associated with the word in question. This multilingual game indirectly shows the identity of language users and represents certain geographical areas. This research implies the creativity of multilingual games by language users which can be used to support language learning.Artikel ini membahas wujud pemanfaatan terjemahan bahasa dalam teka-teki nama kota yang dibawakan oleh penutur bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa teka-teki nama kota dikumpulkan dari tiga video pada kanal YouTube Kampung Inggris LC dan Kampung Inggris WE yang diunggah pada bulan September--Oktober 2021 dengan metode simak dan catat. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan membandingkan terjemahan kata, frasa, maupun klausa dalam bahasa lain yang terlibat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan penggunaan wujud terjemahan satu kata, terjemahan frasa nomina, terjemahan frasa verba, terjemahan frasa preposisi, dan terjemahan klausa dari bahasa Inggris ke bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Jawa. Terjemahan kata-kata tersebut mempunyai kesamaan atau kemiripan dengan nama-nama kota di Indonesia. Sebagain kata merupakan terjemahan leksikal, namun sebagian lainnya hanya memiliki kemiripan makna atau berasosiasi dengan kata yang dimaksud. Permainan multibahasa ini secara tidak langsung menunjukkan jatidiri pengguna bahasa dan mewakili wilayah-wilayah geografis tertentu. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan kreativitas permainan multibahasa oleh para pengguna bahasa yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam mendukung pembelajaran bahasa.

Abstract

In the digital era, coding skills have become increasingly prevalent and are now taught in schools. This paper aims to illuminate parents' perceptions of coding education for elementary school students in Indonesia. The study focuses on eight parents who enrolled their children in a coding school in Central Java, Indonesia. To gather data, open-ended questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were conducted. The collected data were subsequently analyzed thematically. The study revealed that parents held positive perceptions of coding skills for elementary school students. This positivity stemmed from their awareness of the rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the anticipation of the future impact of ICT skills, trust in the institution, and their children's interest in ICT. Furthermore, parents expressed positive perceptions of their children's progress, attributing it to improved coding skills and positive attitudes. They emphasized the importance of mutual collaboration and communication between parents and schools to enhance the learning experience. In addition to offering a coding curriculum, the school provided parents with up-to-date information about ICT through seminars and regular digital content distribution. The collaboration between the school and parents extended to establishing rules regarding the use of mobile phones and PCs to prevent potential harms from excessive device usage. This suggests that the success of coding education for children necessitates effective collaboration between parents and schools.

Abstract

Teaching practicum is one of the prominent issues in education faculties and many studies explored the implementation of teaching practicum in many regions by focusing on several aspects. However, after the pandemic era, how the ‘online’ generation of EFL pre-service teachers perceived their teaching practicum remains unexplored. This current study shed some light on how the ‘online’ generation of EFL pre-service teachers perceived their teaching practicum, the challenges the faced, and how ‘online’ learning during the pandemic changed their perspectives. Using narrative inquiry, the data of this study was gathered from seven graduates of English language education department who experienced online learning during the pandemic but had their teaching practicum offline. The data was collected through open-ended questionnaire and in-depth interview to elicit the story from their experiences during their enrolment in teaching practicum. The collected data were analysed thematically. The findings showed that the EFL pre-service teachers perceived positively on offline teaching practicum. Despite the challenges, they were more motivated to learn and improve their capability. Online learning during the pandemic has improved their ability in integrating technology in their teaching which boost their confidence. It also changed their belief that teaching can be flexible and adaptable to any condition. For that purposes, teachers should be creative and always improve their capability.
