Abstract

Yesmawati et al, 2019. Efficiency of Aromatic Rice and Coconut Rice use on Rain Wood Land With Integration System in District Seluma Province Bengkulu. pp. 510-518. Integrated farming of rainfed lowland rice and beef cattle is an effort that combines rice cultivation in rainfed lowland and beef cattle fattening. Rainfed rice fields can produce straw which can be used as animal feed and beef cattle can provide cow dung as an organic fertilizer needed in rainfed lowland rice farming. Integration between rice farming in rainfed lowland and fattening beef cattle is expected to create minimal production costs and utilization of local resource potential. This study was conducted to determine the financing structure and integration of aromatic rice and beef cattle in Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province. The assessment method used is survey method. Primary data collection was carried out by direct observation and interviews with 25 respondents. The results of the study showed that the integration of aromatic rice paddies carried out on rainfed lowland rice and beef cattle was able to significantly increase farmer income by 1,811,667 / month and rice farmers income by Rp. 1,330,000 / month.

Abstract

Robiyanto et al, 2019. Increased Knowledge of Beef Cattle Farmers on Rice straw Processing Technology in Seluma District. pp. 488-494.The role of counseling in building farmers 'awareness and socializing rice straw processing technology is very important to encourage farmers' knowledge about processing rice straw. This study aimed to determine the increase of farmers' knowledge about processing rice straw as beef cattle feed. This research was conducted in Rimbo Kedui Sub-district, South Seluma District, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province during the socialization of rice straw processing in the Bioindustry of cattle rice activities. The number of respondents as many as 15 people to measure the level of knowledge of breeders consisting of the questionnaire pre test and post test. From the results of the implementation of the pre test and post test. obtained the highest increase in breeders' knowledge by 37.16% from 23.33 to 32.00. The results of evaluating the level of knowledge of breeders based on the highest level of knowledge improvement education at the junior high school education level of 58.82% from 33.75 to 21.25. The increase in knowledge based on age groups, the highest increase in knowledge aged 41 - 50 years was 44.44% from 22.50 to 32.50. Increased knowledge based on business duration increased the highest knowledge by 44.44% from 22.50 to 32.50 business times 21-30 years.

Abstract

Wahyuni T, Kusnadi H, Ivanti L.  2020.  Evaluation Of Soil Fertility Status Of Tebing Kaning Village, North Bengkulu District. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Land cultivated for agriculture has different levels of fertility. Proper soil management is an important factor in determining the growth and yield of plants to be cultivated. The purpose of this study is to identify the rice field fertility variables, conduct an evaluation, and study alternative management according to the soil fertility status. The assessment was carried out in January - March 2020, sampling was carried out in Tebing Kaning Village and soil analysis was carried out at the Bengkulu AIAT Testing Laboratory. The methodology used includes: preparation, implementation of soil sampling, laboratory analysis, and preparation of applicable technology recommendations. In practice, individual soil sampling is used as a composite soil sample, 1 composite soil sample consisting of 10-15 individual soil samples. The number of composite soil samples taken were 10 composite soil samples. Soil analysis data were assessed as CEC, C-Organic, Base Saturation, P-total, K-total, and pH H2O. Based on the results of the analysis, the rice fields of Tebing Kaning Village are divided into 2 fertility classes. Block I, III, and IV with 3 dividers (K-total, CEC, and KB), and Block II with 4 boundaries (C-Organic, K-total, CEC, and KB). The alternative management that needs to be done is to return the straw to the paddy fields in blocks I, III, and IV and the addition of organic matter in block II.
