Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia's mainstay commodities. Indonesia is the world's fifth largest coffee exporter for 2020, but within 10 years the export value and production of Indonesian coffee commodities have not been superior to their competitors, namely Brazil, Honduras, Colombia and Vietnam. The purpose of this study is to analyze the comparative competitiveness of Indonesian coffee in the international market. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The analytical method used to measure the comparative competitiveness of a country's commodities is Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis. The results of the study indicate that Indonesian coffee commodities have strong competitiveness (RCA> 1), but the average RCA is lower than Brazil, Honduras, Colombia and Vietnam.

Abstract

Pakcoy is a horticultular commodity with high nutrition. This commodity has the potential to increase businessmen. This study aims to determine the cost, revenues, income, feasibility of business, and value-added packages of pakcoy in CV Spirit Wira Utama South Tangerang. This study method used is quantitative. This study uses primary data and secondary data. The primary data was obtained from the result by interview using a questionnaire. The respondents of this study were manager and packaging production staff. Secondary data was obtainde from the Central Agency of Statistics and relevant agencies. The analysis techniques used are costs analysis, revenues, income, R/C Ratio, BEP to analyze the feasibility. And the value-added analysis using the Hayami method. The result showed that the total cost of this study was Rp. 7.397.180, the revenue was Rp. 8.240.000, the income was Rp. 842.820 using 32 installation units, the R/C Ratio was 1,11 showed that the business packaged of pakcoy hydroponic is feasible to work on, production volume BEP 185 kg and price BEP Rp. 35.909/kg. The value-added of packaging pakcoy is Rp. 29.898/kg.

Abstract

Fruits are horticultural commodities that have a major contribution to agriculture in Indonesia. One of them is horticultural crops, namely avocado plants. Avocado has the Latin name Persea Americana Mill. Avocados are one of the horticultural commodities that have high economic value. In the Sejahtera Makmur farmer group, they carry out breeding activities for the original variety of avocado from South Jakarta, namely the Cipedak avocado. This study aims to analyze the costs (fixed and variable), income, farm income and the financial feasibility of Cipedak avocado seeds. The research method used is a quantitative research approach by conducting survey techniques. Primary data was collected by distributing questionnaires, structured interviews and observation. The respondents of this study were all members of the Makmur Makmur Sejahtera farmer group, which consisted of 10 nursery farmers. All production activities are carried out in one area of 800 m2 and all costs and benefits are shared. The analysis technique used is Revenue Cost Ratio and Break Even Point. The results obtained that the average Cipedak Avocado seedling from January to June has an average total production cost of Rp. 20,997,515/season and an average total income of Rp. 60,000,000/planting season. So the average income is Rp. 39,002,485/season with a land area of 1,000 m2. So it can be concluded, Cipedak avocado seed farming at the Sejahtera Makmur farmer group, Ciganjur Village is feasible from a financial point of view and this business is profitable. In addition, an R/C value of 2.85 > 1 was obtained, with the interpretation that Cipedak avocado seed farming was profitable and feasible to cultivate. Based on the calculation of the Break Even Point or the break-even point, the production BEP is 524.93 seeds and the BEP is Rp. 13,998/seed. So it can be concluded that the Cipedak avocado nursery farm in the Sejahtera Makmur farmer group has more value than the break-even point, which is getting profit and is feasible to cultivate

Abstract

Semi-organic agriculture is one of the ways to achieve environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural development. Semi-organic rice is an organic agricultural product whose cultivation is still using low doses of chemical fertilizers without chemical pesticides. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, alternative strategies and strategic priorities in marketing semi-organic rice in Gapoktan Saluyu. The research method used a descriptive method with a mixed method approach. This study used secondary data and primary data. Primary data collection with interview techniques using questionnaires. The research respondents were seven semi-organic rice farmers, the head of Gapoktan saluyu, an agricultural extension worker at Cilamaya Wetan, a middleman, two consumers, the Karawang regency agriculture office, modern retailers, and academics. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency, the Karawang Regency Agriculture Office and the Cilamaya Village Office. The sample of farmers and stakeholders was determined by purposive method with considerations according to their field of expertise. The analysis technique used is the IFE matrix and the EFE matrix, the SWOT matrix and the QSPM matrix. The results of the study show that the main factors are guaranteed product safety, lack of distribution channels in West Java and outside Java, increasing market prospects and global demand, and increasing organic business competition. The results of the SWOT matrix analysis produce five strategies. Based on the analysis of the QSPM matrix, expanding the market network by collaborating with traders or retailers is a strategic priority with the highest Sum Total Attractiveness Score (STAS) of 7.06.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has spread massively in various countries, including Indonesia. Various sectors of the national economy have experienced the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, including the agricultural sector. During the Covid-19 pandemic, rice farmer households in Pasirtalaga Village used livelihood capital to protect their livelihoods from being vulnerable. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of rice farmers' households and identify the use of capital for rice farmers' households during the Covid-19 pandemic in Pasirtalaga Village, Telagasari District, Karawang Regency. Determination of the sample by a simple random sampling technique through the Slovin formula, totaling 35 respondents. The data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection was carried out in several ways, namely the distribution of questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Secondary data is collected by analyzing documents, such as theses, theses, books, journals, articles, and the internet that are related to this study. The data analysis technique used scoring, category, and descriptive analysis. The results of the research on the characteristics of farmer households in Pasirtalaga Village, the majority live at home, have a land tenure pattern of < 0.65 ha, have two livelihoods, and have more than 3 family members. The subsistence capital bases of lower-level households are natural capital, social capital and physical capital, all at level 3. The capital base for middle-class households is natural capital, human capital and financial capital, all at level 3. Capital base The upper layers of household income are human capital, physical capital and financial capital with each being at level 3.
