Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah digunakannya media animasi berbasis plotagon yang diadakan di SD N 010246 Banjar. Manfaat media animasi yang menarik seperti Plotagon dapat membantu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan teknologi yang menarik dan relevan dengan minat mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh yakni sampel penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah semua anggota populasi. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SD N 010246 Banjar yang berjumlah 26 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media plotagon berpengaruh secara signifikan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil tersebut di dapat dari hasil pengujian uji hipotesis diperoleh perhitungan t_hitung= 3,559 dan t_tabel = 1,675. Dengan dk = 51. Maka t_hitung > t_tabel dengan 3,559 > 1,675, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media animasi berbasis plotagon untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed at describing students’s mathematical problem solving ability. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research  is statistics. The subjects in this study were students of MAS Al Washliyah 49 Pasar Lembu at class XI IPA totaling 25 students. Data collection instruments used included test questions totaling questions that referred to indicators of students’ problem solving ability including understanding problems, planning solutions, implementing plans, and reinterpreting them. Data analysis techinques used in this study were to assess the results of student answers and determine the percentage of students’ problem solving ability seen from the low, medium, and high categories. Based on the result of data processing, obtained as many as 6 students (24%) included in the category of “low” or have not been able to carry out the four stages well, and 11 students (44%) included in the category of “medium” or able to carry out category of “high” or have not been able to carry out the fourth stage.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ emotional regulation based on gender in solving word problems on fraction material. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving 27 seventh-grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Aek Kuasan, consisting of 16 male students and 11 female students . Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that students' emotional regulation was categorized into high, medium, and low levels. Most students were in the medium category (40.7%), followed by high (29.6%) and low (29.6%) categories . Based on gender, female students tended to have better emotional regulation than male students, as indicated by a higher percentage in the high category. These findings indicate that emotional regulation plays an important role in helping students remain calm, focused, and systematic in solving mathematical word problems. Therefore, emotional aspects should be considered in mathematics learning, especially when dealing with complex problems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse students’ ability to transform contextual problems into mathematical models in the subject of Systems of Linear Equations with Two Variables through the application of the Problem-Based Learning approach. This study employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population comprises all Year 8 secondary school students, whilst the sample consists of two classes an experimental class and a control class selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument consists of a test in the form of contextual story problems used to measure students’ mathematical modelling abilities. Research data were obtained through pre-tests, post-tests, student answer sheets, brief interviews, and the use of worksheets based on contextual problems. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, N-Gain, and effect size. The results of the study indicate that students who learn using the Problem-Based Learning model demonstrate better ability in transforming contextual problems into mathematical models compared to students who learn using conventional teaching methods. Consequently, the Problem-Based Learning model can serve as an effective alternative teaching method for enhancing students’ mathematical modelling skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model based on Malay culture on students’ mathematical numeracy literacy abilities in the topic of flat-sided geometric solids for grade VIII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Silau Laut in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all grade VIII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Silau Laut, while the sample consisted of two classes selected using purposive sampling techniques, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was taught using the Malay culture-based Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by the GeoGebra application, while the control class used the expository learning model. Data collection techniques included mathematical numeracy literacy tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results showed that the implementation of the Malay culture-based Contextual Teaching and Learning model had an effect on students’ mathematical numeracy literacy abilities. Students in the experimental class showed improvement in analyzing information, using mathematical symbols, performing arithmetic operations, and interpreting problem-solving results compared to students in the control class. In addition, learning integrated with Malay culture and the use of the GeoGebra application were able to increase students’ learning motivation, activeness, and understanding of mathematical concepts in a more contextual and meaningful way. Therefore, the Malay culture-based Contextual Teaching and Learning model is effective as an alternative mathematics learning model to improve students’ mathematical numeracy literacy abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect the Concepual Understanding Procedures learning model on student’s mathematical representation abilities. This research was conducted at MTs S Nurul Iman Simpang Empat in the 2025/2026 academy year. The type of research used was a quasi experimental design with a two group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all eighth grade student’s. The samples were class VIII-B as the experimental class, which was taught using the Concepual Understanding Procedures learning model and class VIII-C as the control class, which was taught using a direct instruction model. After the learning process was completed, the posttest resultes showed that the average score of the experimental class 82.4, while the control class was 76.6. The results of the t-test showed that it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Concepual Understanding Procedures learning model on student’s mathematical representation abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of implementing Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) based on Augmented Reality in developing students’ spatial visualization abilities and geometric reasoning on solid geometry material for eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Bandar Pulau. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a Two Group Pre-Test and Post-Test research design. The population of this study consisted of all eighth-grade classes, totaling four classes. The research sample consisted of two classes selected through purposive sampling determined by the school. The control class used the CTL learning model, while the experimental class used Augmented Reality-based contextual learning. After the learning process was completed, the post-test results showed that the average score of the experimental class was 71.696 and the control class was 67.048. The results of the t-test obtained t_count = 1.708 > t_table = 1.669, therefore Hₐ was accepted. In addition, this study also used questionnaires to measure students’ perceptions of Augmented Reality-based contextual learning. The questionnaire results indicated that the majority of students gave positive responses toward the use of AR in learning. A total of 42.9% of students strongly agreed and 43.4% agreed that contextual learning with AR made the learning process more interesting, enjoyable, and helpful in understanding solid geometry concepts. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect on students’ learning outcomes through the use of Augmented Reality-based contextual learning in developing students’ 3D visualization abilities and geometric reasoning.
