Abstract

Abstract: The using of media in learning is very important to increase the mutualism of education as making a secondhand media from carton that was conducted in PAUD Ar Rahman. The training was conducted to increase the teacher’s understanding and teacher’s skill in developing their professionalism especially in designing a learning media from a secondhand like carton. The first activity that was conducted is observation by using interview technique to the teachers. Then it was continued by training activity. This activity is like a workshop that was started from presentation about the theory of arrangement a learning media from a secondhand material, accompaniment to all teachers in designing and developing learning media from a secondhand material. At the end of this activity, there was 70% participant that able to develop a learning media from a secondhand material individually.Keywords: Media, Secondhand, Teacher of PAUDAbstrak: Penggunaan media pembelajaran sangat diperlukan dalam kaitannya dengan peningkatan mutu pendidikan seperti pembuatan media bekas yang dilakukan di PAUD Ar Rahman. Pelatihan ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan para guru dalm mengembangkan profsionalisme khususnya dalam pendesainan/ pengembangan media pembelajaran dari barang bekas berupa karton. Kegiatan pertama yang dilakukan adalah observasi dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara terhadap para guru. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan. Kegiatan ini berbentuk workshop dimulai dari presentasi tentang teori penyusunan media pembelajaran dari barang bekas, pendampingan terhadap guru dalam perancangan dan pendampingan bagi guru dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran dari barang bekas. Pada akhir kegiatan sebanyak 70% peserta yang dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran dari barang bekas secara mandiri.Kata kunci: Media, Barang, Bekas, Guru PAUD

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research were to find the errors in student’s writing at The Tenth Grade Science 1 of SMA Swasta Daerah Kisaran. The subject of this research were 20 students of SMA Swasta Daerah Kisaran. The technique of collecting data used in this research were interview, observation and written test. The researcher used Dulay’s Theory to classify the types of errors. In this research, the researcher found 4 types of errors. Those were ommision, addition, misformation and misordering. The precentage of frequency the errors. It was ommison type (42,86%), addition type (5,71%), misformation type (22,86%), and misordering type (28,57%). From all of the types, the highest frequent types of error was omission. Keywords: Simple Past Tense Sentence, Writing, Errors  Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kesalahan dalam menulis siswa kelas X IPA 1 SMA Swasta Daerah Kisaran. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa SMA Swasta Daerah Kisaran. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan tes tertulis. Peneliti menggunakan Teori Dulay untuk mengklasifikasikan jenis-jenis kesalahan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan 4 jenis kesalahan. Yaitu penghilangan, penambahan, salah formasi dan salah urut. Persentase frekuensi kesalahan. Yaitu tipe omission (42,86%), tipe penambahan (5,71%), tipe salah formasi (22,86%), dan tipe salah susun (28,57%). Dari semua jenis tersebut, jenis kesalahan yang paling sering terjadi adalah omission. Kata kunci: Kalimat Simple Past Tense, Penulisan, Kesalahan

Abstract

With the massive use of technology products such as social media, hate speech has become an inseparable part of society. In today's social life, social media has become a basic need to build social interaction. Human communication built with social media still involves language in various forms of writing. However, when it comes to interpersonal communication, social media users often don't realize that what they write can turn into hate speech. This study examined the phenomenon of using social media in the form of comments and statuses that lead to legal cases that were reviewed by using forensic linguistics. The research was conducted by reviewing the literature and observing documents regarding legal cases that occurred due to hate speech on social media.

Abstract

This research was meant to find out the empirical evidence of the students' accomplishment in reading comprehension of narrative text by utilizing Read Examine Decide Write (REDW) Strategy at the X Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman. This research was quantitative research. The entire class of students at SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman's grade X made up the population of this study. 30 students from the experimental group (class X IPA 4) and 30 students from the control group served as the research's sample subjects (class X IPA 1). A test with multiple choices was used to obtain the data. (1) The students' achievement in reading comprehension narrative text by utilizing the Read Examine Decide Write (REDW) Strategy got the post-test with an average result after the data was analyzed. (1) The students' accomplishment in reading comprehension narrative text by utilizing the Read Examine Decide Write (REDW) Strategy got the post- test with an average result of 83 after the data was analyzed (2) The post-test showed that the students had successfully read narrative texts with comprehension using the conventional way, with an average score of 67. The value of t-observed was 8,43 and t- table was 2,009. The fact that the value of t-observed was higher than t-table indicates that the Read Examine Decide Write (REDW) Strategy had a significant impact on students' reading comprehension success.

Abstract

The intended of this study was to gather empirical data regarding the impact of chain writing on students' recount text writing. This study used a quantitative methodology and a quasi-experimental research design. The sample of this research was at the eleven grade students of SMASDA Air Joman in 2022/2023 Academic Year. There were the experimental and the control group. Each group consisted of 30 students. The experimental group was taught with chain writing method while the control group was taught with teacher’s conventional method. A written test was used as the research instrument, and the students' writing on the pre- and post-tests was graded using a writing rubric. According to the calculations, the experimental group's post-test mean scores were 79.13, while the control group's were 74.37. When using an independent sample t-test to test statistical hypotheses, the results showed that, on a scale of 5% significance ( 0.05), t0 was 3.015 and ttable was 2.002, meaning that t0 was greater than ttable. The instrument used in this research was a written test and the scoring of writing rubric was used to score the students’ writing on the pre test and post test. Based on the calculation, the post-test mean scores of the experimental group was 79.13 while that of the control group was 74.37. Then, the result of statistical hypothesis testing by using independent sample t-test found that on degree of significance 5% (α = 0.05), was 3.015 while was 2.002 or . As a result, Ho was rejected while Ha was accepted. In addition, the Cohen's formulation was used to determine the effect size of the chain writing method, and the result was 0.77. It was discovered that the chain writing method had a moderate effect, and it was possible to conclude that the chain writing method had a significant effect on students' writing skill of recount text at grade eleven of SMASDA air joman in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Siswa sekolah SDN saat ini masih banyak yang belum mengenal literasi dan numerasi pada Bahasa Inggris sehingga mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris ketika duduk dibangku sekolah menengah sederajat kedepannya. Siswa SDN mengalami kesulitan dalam kemampuan literasi dan numerasi dikarenakan tidak adanya mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris di bangku SD yang mana mata pelajaran tersebut hanya sebagai muatan lokal. Di dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyrakat ini mengenalkan kosakata Bahasa Inggris kepada peserta didik dengan mengimplementasikan media flashcard. Media flashcard adalah media yang menyajikan meteri tentang pengenalan angka, warna, hewan, tumbuhan, dan lainnya. Tampailan yang menarik dapat meningkatkan minat peserta didik dalam mengenal kosakata dalam Bahasa Inggris lebih baik lagi. Metode yang digunakan di dalam pengabdian ini dengan metode ceramah, Tanya jawab, audio lingual dan pemberian tugas. Dengan metode tersebut menerapkan media flash card pada kegiatan pengabdian ini mengahsilkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi peserta didik dalam pengenalan kosakata semakin meningkat.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to determine if the effect of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Strategy With The Help of Word Wall Application on The Students’ Mastery of Simple Present Tense at X Grade of SMA N 7 Tanjungbalai. This research employed quantitative research with a two-class design, exprimental class and control class. This research's population consisted of all class X students from SMA Negeri 7 Tanjungbalai. Simple random sampling was used to choose two classes for the research sample: 32 students from the experimental class (X IPS 1) and 32 students from the control class (X IPS 2). A multiple choice test was used to collect data. The t-test formula was used to analyze the data. From this analysis, by comparing pre-test and post-test scores, the exprimental class had a lower pre-test mean score (53,4>56,6) and a higher post-test mean score (76,5>72,3) than the mean score in control class. This research found that using Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Strategy With The Help of Word Wall Application has significant effect in simple present tense. It can be proved by the result that tscore (to) = 11,25 was higher than the ttable (tt) = 1,999 with the significant 0,05 or it can be understood as To > Ttable (5% ) = 11,25>1,999. So, Ha is accepted. In another word, using Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Strategy With The Help of Word Wall Application more effective and more significant than using conventional way.

Abstract

In the Pancasila Student Profile, creativity is defined as a student's ability to modify and create something that is original, meaningful, useful and has a positive impact. In developing student creativity, PKM was held to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students using ecoprint media based on the pounding technique. Dyeing using the ecoprint method based on the pounding technique is an environmentally friendly method, which uses natural ingredients to create patterns on the fabric. Ecoprint based on the pounding technique is a method of dyeing fabric that uses leaves, flowers and other parts of plants that are transferred to the surface of the fabric through a beating process. The aim of this community service is to develop student creativity, because creativity is one of the dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. The production process involves selecting tote bag materials from natural fabrics, such as calico, which are more effective in absorbing colors from plant materials. After that, fresh leaves and flowers are placed on the cloth, then beating and drying techniques are carried out to transfer the natural patterns of the plants to the surface of the cloth. In this study, various types of leaves were tested to determine the variation in pattern and color resistance produced. The results of the ecoprint making training which was carried out as a form of developing the creativity of students at SD Negeri 010246 Banjar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap kemampuan menulis teks naratif siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Simpang Empat tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen berupa pre-test dan post-test control group. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 282 siswa, sedangkan sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu kelas XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan total 72 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Skor total kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 2100 pada pre-test menjadi 2750 pada post-test (gain score = 650), sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 2100 menjadi 2270 (gain score = 170). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-hitung (2,93) lebih besar daripada t-tabel (1,99) pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 dengan df = 70. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL berbantuan Wordwall berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa serta meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan belajar.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of Differentiated Instruction on students’ writing skills in descriptive texts at State Senior High School 1 Sei Kepayang during the 2025/2026 academic year. The research was motivated by students’ low achievement in writing descriptive texts and the limited use of instructional strategies that accommodate diverse learning needs. The study addressed whether Differentiated Instruction significantly improved students’ writing performance compared to conventional teaching methods. A quantitative experimental design was employed involving two groups, namely an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 33 students. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test writing assessments and analyzed using the t-test formula. The findings revealed that the experimental class showed a substantial improvement, with the mean score increasing from 66.6 to 85.7, while the control class improved from 49.6 to 57.7. Hypothesis testing demonstrated that the t-count value (31.42) exceeded the t-table value (1.998) at the significance level of 0.05 with 64 degrees of freedom. The study concludes that Differentiated Instruction has a statistically significant positive effect on students’ writing skills in descriptive texts and can be effectively implemented to enhance students’ writing achievement.
