Abstract

Abstract : Karanganyer regency’s government has set the area – the area that potentially catastrophic landslide in Karanganyaer regency a spatial plan of karanganyar regency in 2012 -2031. The area prone to high landslide disaster has greater risk in the event of catastrophic landslide, so that the disaster management has more pay attention in the area prone to high landslide disaster. The problem in this research in how the suitability of disaster management in areas prone to landslides high Karanganyar regency towards disaster management component. The purposes of this research is to know the suitability of disaster management in areas prone to landslides high Karanganyar towards disaster management component. This research use deductive qualitative approaches. The results of this study shows in the area prone to high landslide disaster of Karanganyar regency has reached compliance. Area prone to high landslide disaster not have “early warning system” and warning light yet, but have applied conventional voice signal. Has been designated evacuation meeting point even though the capacity has not enough. Evacuation lanes using existing road network and currently there are not evacuation lanes and evacuation fringes yet. The relocation has been implemented on the residents who occurred landslide and homeless lived.Keyword: disaster management, disaster-prone area of landslide

Abstract

Solo Baru area is a satellite city that grew due to the phenomenon of urban sprawl in Surakarta. This area growth of more advanced and dominated by economic activity, especially industrial and trade-services activities.  The problem is development on industrial and trade-services activities  occur   in Solo Baru certainly will encourage a change in the spatial area as centers of activities, patterns of land use and road network. Changes in the spatial aspect will have a negative impact on the regularity of the spatial structure and function of  the area to the surrounding area. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the role of the development of industrial and trade-services activities to the changes in the spatial structure of Solo Baru area . The method of research is deductive-quantitative, while the data analisys technique used is  descriptive analysis of quantitative and spatial descriptive. The results of this study notes that both of industrial and trade-services activities have developed from years 2002-2014 that occurred development of industrial activity by 43% and trade-services activities amounted to 140%.  The role of the development of industrial and trade-services activities include the agglomeration of activities and to encourage a change in the distribution centers that changes occur in the central-subcentral models that undergo a change from a non-centered to form multi-nodal. In addition, the  industrial and trade-services activities also encourage land use changes and then give impact to the shift and functional zoning exist within the area as well as attract more movement leads to a change in the function and capacity of the road network. Keywords: activity development role, industrial, spatial structure, trade-services

Abstract

The increasing number of elderly people in Yogyakarta City demands the provision of an inclusive environment that supports the welfare of the elderly. This study aims to assess the suitability of Yogyakarta City for the concept of an elderly-friendly city based on seven main variables: green open space, public transportation, pedestrian facilities, health services, social support, elderly-friendly intergenerational interactions, and advocacy for the basic rights of the elderly. The research used a quantitative approach with observation and questionnaire methods to elderly people in all sub-districts in Yogyakarta City. The data were analyzed using a Guttman scale to determine the level of suitability of each variable. The results showed that overall Yogyakarta City is classified as “suitable” for the concept of an elderly-friendly city, with a total score of 5.32 out of a maximum scale of 6.80. Four variables meet the suitability criteria, namely public transportation, health services, social support, and intergenerational interaction. Meanwhile, the other three variables are still not fully suitable and require improvement. This study recommends improvements in these three aspects so that the implementation of the concept of an elderly-friendly city in Yogyakarta City can be more optimal and sustainable.

Abstract

Keberadaan aktivitas pedagang kaki lima yang menempati jalur pedestrian Malioboro menyebabkan beberapa permasalahan seperti mengganggu ruang gerak pejalan kaki, menghalangi visibilitas pertokoan, serta melanggar peraturan perundang-undangan akibat tidak adanya surat izin usaha. Permasalahan tersebut ditindaklanjuti oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dengan melakukan pembangunan Teras 1 Malioboro sebagai lokasi relokasi pedagang kaki lima (PKL). Kebijakan ini mengalami hambatan berupa penolakan para pedagang dengan alasan kesulitan beradaptasi terutama setelah masa pandemi Covid-19 berakhir. Para pedagang meminta lokasi PKL yang baru harus mampu memenuhi kebutuhan berdagang dengan adanya fasilitas yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesesuaian Teras 1 Malioboro sebagai lokasi relokasi PKL. Variabel penelitian yang digunakan adalah keberadaan aktivitas utama, kestrategisan lokasi, dan ketersediaan fasilitas pendukung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis skoring skala Guttman untuk menilai kesesuaian variabel berdasarkan kondisi karakteristik lokasi PKL. Hasil penilaian kesesuaian sebesar 0,917 menunjukkan bahwa Teras 1 Malioboro masuk dalam kategori sesuai sebagai lokasi relokasi pedagang kaki lima.
