Abstract

Abstract Go green campaign is one of ways to save the earth from garbage. Thiscampaign not only suggestsrecycling and reducing but also reusing the garbage. In line with the go green campaign, the aim of this study is to achieve the viability of using Bagasse Ash (BA) as additive material in hot mix Split Mastic Asphalt (SMA) with certain comparison which is expected to improve the quality of SMA. This research was conducted by using experiment research design in comparison among the three types of (without BA and with BA)properties of the hot SMA toward the Marshall properties (stability, flow, Marshall Quotient (MQ), Void In Total Mix (VITM), Void Filled Without Asphalt (VFWA),and Air Void to get Optimum Bitumen Content ,Indirect Tensile Strength (ITS) at different temperature (20oC,40oC,60oC) and Unconfined compressive at same temperature room at 27oC but different percentage of BA (3%,4% ,5%). The results of this research are as follows: 1) the properties of the hot mix SMA toward the Marshall properties are: The stability value of SMA with BA is higher than SMA withoutBA by 3%; The flow value of SMA with BA is lower than SMA without BA by 5.5%; The Marshall Quotient value of SMA with BA is higher than SMA without BA by 5%; TheAir void value of SMA withBA is lower than SMA without BA by 3%; The VFWA value of SMA with Bagasse Ash is higher than SMA without BA by 75.87%; The Air Void value of SMA with BA is lower than SMA without BA by 2%.In terms of ITS value, the value of ITS is high when BA is combined with low temperature; but when the temperature is increased, the value of ITS decreases. Moreover, in terms of UCS, the value of UCS of BA mixture is higher than SMA and higher than normal mixture at normal temperature. The recommendation of this research is that a certain percentage of air voids is necessary in all dense-graded mixes to prevent the pavement from flushing, shoving, and rutting. Air voids may be increased or decreased by lowering or raising the binder content. They may also be increased or decreased by controlling the amount of material passing the No. 200 sieve in the HMA. The more fines added to the HMA generally the lower the air voids. The air voids may be changed by varying the aggregate gradation in the HMA. Keywords: Bagasse Ash, Split Mastic Asphalt, ITS, UCS

Abstract Unexpected delays in construction projects are caused by owner, contractor, or a third party in which several types of delays may occurconcurrently. The effect of delays does not only influence the construction industry but the overall economy as well. As such, the objectives of the presented research in this paper are to identify, study, the factors that caused the delay in project duration. Simulation-based Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Were collected the data from owner and companies in Ghat, Libya. The model is implemented to the collected data, which show robust results. Based upon collected the data for the project of 3000 Houses in Ghat. The priorities according to the analysis of hierarchical (AHP) are from the questioners, the most important in this problem of project is Management conditions ranked first at 0.470. The next is Project conditions ranked 0.370 the last Environmental conditions ranked at 0.160.This result is to the real case study of project. In management the result problem, payment delay and Time to make Decision and productivity uncertainty of labor is big problem from management condition. The Project conditions are the second problem from the project. In project conditions the result problem, material availability is biggest problem from project condition. The environmental condition is the third problem from the project. In environmental conditions the result problem, labor strike and shortage of human resources is largest problem from environmental conditions. Keywords: Factors, Delays, construction,  AHP, Libya.

Abstract

Abstract             Sewer systems are prone to damages due to aging, traffic, geological change, to name a few. The sewer system is very important in the life and any malfunction in a sewer system disrupts the daily life activities within the relevant region. This research is proposed some solution in order to the assessment of the level to performance the sewage network in Ard Zwawa Albahria, East Benghazi City. There are many problem in Ard Zwawa Albahria sometimes flood and also close to some of manholes. The objectives of this research are to observe and to analysis the levels of sewerage system performance in Ard Zwawa Albahria, East Benghazi City- Libya and the effect of the system’s performance to the decision making process for rehabilitation and maintenance. Using performance Indices and Standard of Scoring Matric, this research uses some formulas for calculation to evaluate the components of sewage system based on standard called Libyan specifications. The level of sewage system performance is 3.29 .it means that the sewage system is in a good condition. The system only needs rehabilitation and maintenance. The spatial coverage of existing sewers system is not good enough, because there are some places which don’t have network of sewer system. The general capacity of sewage system network is good enough, because it can service the quantity of flowing sewage water. The length of pipe equals 3984.27 meterKeywords: performance indices ,sewerage system, infrusrauction, level of assessment .

Abstract

The Indonesia’s Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) has designated “the Eradication of Poverty and Hunger” as the first target of achievement. The main obstacle is the lack of capability to escape from the poverty line because community institutions in the neighborhood do not sufficiently provide access for social inclusion, empowerment, and security. This research aims at, first, finding the Model of Slums Settlement Community Empowerment Concept as an effort for Sustainable Urban Poverty Alleviation (PMPKB), and second, implementing the PMPKB concept model. The method used in this research is Participatory Action Research (PAR) where the researchers and the object of research are put in one process framework. This model was implemented in 5 districts in Surakarta municipality. The implementation of the model at Joyosuran district shows that the PMPKB model which begins with the mapping of participative problems until community action plan and ends with the integration with the rolling plan at the municipality level, can become an instrument to accommodate community aspiration through bottom-up planning that can guarantee and ensure the integration of bottom-up planning at the district level in the planning document at the city level. Keywords: Participative planning, District, Poverty, Slums Settlement, Urban, Model, Community Empowerment

Abstract

This paper evaluated the Program of Substandard Housing (RTLH) Renovation proposed for the agenda of “Surakarta Informal Settlements Clearance 2015” for solving the problem of improving the quality of 6612 substandard houses.  This research took case study in the small-scaled area of poor settlements in the prone area along riverbank of Bengawan Solo River namely Kelurahan Ketelan. How could this outcome contribute to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in terms of providing housing security to establish inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable city and human settlement as stated by SDGs? The case study research was conducted by multiple methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the program had the highest contribution on the improvement of sanitation, in terms of the use of septic tank (change value of 0.5750) and the use of toilet (0.203)as one of priorities of SDGs. However, there was only little contribution in increasing access to land tenure security ( 0.002); It was surprising that the improvement of housing construction itself was not high. This program involved the collaboration among state-civil-society-community and other development parties and increased channeling assistance for settlements sustainability and poverty reduction

Abstract

Abstract

Settlement relocation is a program initiated by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta aimed at providing decent housing for the community. Kampung Melayu Village was one of the locations where relocation to the Jatinegara Barat Flats was implemented in 2015. Settlement relocation has varied impacts due to differing community perceptions. Therefore, this study aims to determine the community's perception of changes in livelihood assets resulting from the relocation of settlements along the Ciliwung River, focusing on human capital, social capital, physical capital, environmental capital, and financial capital. The method used was scoring analysis and descriptive quantitative approaches, utilizing questionnaires and open interviews with the Jatinegara Barat Flats community affected by the relocation. The results of this study indicate that the relocated residents of Jatinegara Barat Flats experienced positive changes in their livelihood assets, with an overall score of 70.99%.
