Abstract

Uji patogenisitas Bacillus thuringiensis dan Metarhizium anisopliae terhadap mortalitasSpodoptera litura Fabr (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) di laboratorium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmendapatkan konsentrasi yang tepat yaitu B. thuringiensis dan M. anisopliae terhadap mortalitaslarva S. litura di laboratorium. Dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Balai Penelitian Tanaman BuahTropika Kebun Percobaan Tongkoh-Berastagi pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2012. Metode yangdigunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial, dengan tujuh perlakuan.Kontrol, B1 (B. thuringiensis 10 gr/ liter air), B2 (B. thuringiensis 20 gr/ liter air), B3(B. thuringiensis 30 gr/ liter air), M1 (M. anisopliae 10 gr/ liter air), M2 (M. anisopliae 20 gr/ literair), M3 (M. anisopliae 30 gr/liter air), dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwapersentase mortalitas yang efektif berturut-turut terdapat pada perlakuan B3 (B. thuringiensis30 gr/ liter air ) (100%) dan B2 (B. thuringiensis 20 gr/ liter air) (90%), oleh B1 (B. thuringiensis10 gr/ liter air) (80%), M3 (M. anisopliae 30 gr/ liter air) (76,67%), dan yang kurang efektifterdapat pada perlakuan M2 (M. anisopliae 20 gr/ liter air) (56,67%) dan M1 (M. anisopliae 10 gr/liter air) (43,33%).Kata kunci: konsentrasi, Spodoptera litura Fabr, bioinsektisida, mortalitas

Abstract

The influence of adhesive colored trap on capside pest (Cyrtopeltis tenuis Reut.)(Hemiptera:Miridae) in tobacco plant (Nicotiana tabacum L.). The is research was to find out theeffectiveness of the adhesive colored trap on capside pest (Cyrtopeltis tenuis Reut.)(Hemiptera:Miridae) in tobacco plant (Nicotiana tabacum L.) in the field. The purpose of this studyconducted at Kelambir V Helvetia Estate of PTPN II from May to June 2012. The methods used inthis study were Non-Factorial Group Randomized Design (RAK) with 7 treatment, and 3replications: W0 (controlled/ transparent), W1 (green colored traps), W2 (light red colored Trap), W3(white colored traps) W4 (yellow colored traps) W5 (blue colored Traps), W6 (red colored traps). Theresult of this study showed that the highest pest population caught by yellow colored trap was 53.00and the lowest pest population was 33.33 which were caught by light red colored trap. The lowestattact intencity percentage was 28.53% found in the yellow colored trap, and the highest was34.86% found in the blue colored trap.Keywords: Cyrtopeltis tenuis Reut, Colored Trap, Nicotiana tabacum L.

Abstract

The effect of botanical insecticides seeds powder againts pest of kumbangCallosobruchus chinensis L. (coleoptera: bruchidae) for the green bean seeds.The objective of this research was to knew the effectiveness of some botanical insecticides onmortality C. chinensis, and green bean seeds weight decrease. The experiment was conductedin the Laboratory Plant Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatra Utara, Medan.Using a completely randomized design (RAL) non factorial with 10 treatments wereF0 (control), F1 (5gr jatropha seeds), F2 (10gr jatropha seeds), F3 (15gr jatropha seeds),F4 (5gr soursop seeds), F5 (10gr soursop seeds), F6 (15gr soursop seeds),F7 (5gr noni seeds), F8 (10gr noni seeds) and F9 (15gr noni seeds) per 500gr of bean greenseeds with three replications. The results showed that 15gr jatropha seeds is the mosteffective in increased mortality imago C. chinensis (93.33%), and green bean seeds weightdecreased as low as (0.37%). The followed by treatments of 15gr soursop seeds, 10grjatropha seeds, 10gr soursop seeds, and 15gr noni seeds, while treatments of5gr jatropha seeds, 5gr soursop seeds, 5gr and 10gr noni seeds less effective.Keywords : Callosobruchus chinensis, botanical insecticides, green bean seeds.

Abstract

The effectivity of some entomopathogenic imago cocoa fruit borerConopomorpha cramerella Snellen (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) in the Laboratory. Theobjective of this research was to evaluate the effectifity of entomophatogen (B. bassiana,M. anisopliae and P. fumosoroseus) with different concentration level. The experiment wasconducted at the Laboratory Plant Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatra utara,Medan. From August to October 2012, using a completely randomized design (RAL) nonfactorial of 7 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were L0 (control),L1 (M. anisopliae 40gr/1l), L2 (M. anisopliae 50gr/1l), L3 (B. bassiana 40gr/1l),L4 (B. bassiana 50gr/1l), L5 (P. fumosoroseus 40gr/1l), and L6 (P. fumosoroseus 50gr/1l).The results showed that 50gr/1l M. anisopliae is effective to control imago C. cramerella(100%), followed by treatments B. bassiana 50gr/1l, M. anisopliae 40gr/1l, andP. fumosoroseus 50gr/1l, the high number of imago C. cramerella overgrownentomopathogenic fungus colony found in 50gr/1l M. anisopliae (60%), followed bytreatments of P. fumosoroseus 50gr/1l, M. anisopliae 40gr/1l, B. bassiana 50gr/1l,B. bassiana 40gr/1l, while P. fumosoroseus 40gr/1l is less effective, and the behavior of deathimago C. cramerella entomopathogenic fungus infected seen with characteristic imago beinglazy move, the longer the body becoming limp and dead, and that eventually hardenedmycelium covered by different colors namely M. anisopliae has green colour, B. bassiana haswhite colour, P. fumosoroseus has yellowish white colour.Keywords : entomopathogenic, cocoa, Conopomorpha cramerella

Abstract

ABSTRACTMass rearing of Corcyra cephalonica Stainton (Lepidoptera : Pyralidae) in Several Media. Thestored pest C. cephalonica is one of alternative host Trichogramma spp. This research was to studyto find the best feed for mass rearing C. cephalonica as an alternative host Trichogramma spp. Thisresearch was carried out at Central Research and Development of Sugarcane Crop Sei SemayangPTPN II Medan since July-September 2012. The method of used Randomized Complete Designwhich consists 22 treatments and two replication. The results showed that the combination of ricebran and mill maize is the best treatment. The day early that the adult emerge fastest in media ricebran and mill maize with comparison 1:2 is 32.5 days after application and the lowest in mediamaize bran and chicken feed with comparison 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 is 48 days after aplication.The highest number of imago in media rice bran and mill maize with comparison 1:2 is338.5 adults and the lowest in media mill maize and chicken feed is 68.5 adults. Abstract

Research on title effect of insecticides to control bean fly (Ophiomyia phaseoli Try.) on soybean(Glycine max L.). Using chemical insecticide to control bean fly unwisely caused pest resistance.For that purpose in this research used biology, botany, and chemical insecticide to determine theireffectiveness. This research was conducted at Kelurahan Berngam, Kecamatan Binjai Kota,Kotamadya Binjai from June to July 2013 using factorial randomized block design. The resultshowed used soursop leaf 200 gr/l of water (P1) and Bacillus thuringiensis 1 ml/l of water (P5) wereeffective to control population of bean fly with percentage of attack (0.00%) and number of larvae(0.00 larvae). Using soursop leaf 200 gr/l of water (P1) also effective to control number of bean flywas (0.00 bean fly). Time symtomp in P1 (soursop leaf 200 gram/l of water) also lower than theother treatments was six days after planted.Keywords: insecticide, Glycine max, Ophiomyia phaseoli

Abstract

“The Effectiveness of Botanical Insecticides Test to Mortality the Leptocorisa acuta Thunberg.(Hemiptera : Alydidae) on rice plant in Greenhouse”. The research was held at the Greenhouse OfAgriculture Faculty University of North Sumatera, Medan since June – August 2013. The methodof this research was Completely Randomized Design Non Factorial with 8 treatments and 3replications. Treatments being tested is K0 (control), A1, A2, A3 (25, 50, 75 ml tuba rootextracts/litre of water), T1, T2, T3 (25, 50, 75 ml tobacco extracts/litre of water), and AT (50 mltuba root extracts/litre of water + 50 tobacco extracts/litre of water). The parameters includethe percentage of mortality pest and the death of imago. The result showed that the most effective ofbotanical insecticides was found in treatment AT (100%) at 3 days after application, followed by T3(100%) at 4 days after application and T2 (96,67%) and A3 (95%) at 5 days after application, andless effective was found in A1 (81,67%) and T1 (88,33%) at 5 days after application, and on the 6days after application all botanical insecticides treatmens has show 100% mortality. The death ofimago is the fastest in treatments AT, T3, T2, A3, A2 and T1 occurred at 1 day after planting, andlongest are on treatments A1 occurred at 2 day after planting.Keyword: botanical insectisides, L. acuta, mortality, the time death

Abstract

Rotua Maryance Gultom, “The Influenced some Insecticide on Soybean (Glycine max (L) Merril.)Pest Lamprosema indicata F. and Spodoptera litura F. in the field”. The objectives of the researchwere to study the effect of some Insecticide to Soybean (Glycine max (L) Merril.) pest Lamprosemaindicata F. dan Spodoptera litura F. The research was held at Telaga Sari Village, DevelopmentTanjung Morawa, Medan, North Sumatera from July until September 2013. The method used NonFactorial Randomized Group Design, consist of 7 treatments and 3 repetable that is control, papayaseed, indian mulberry seed seed, mahogany seed, Bacillus thuringiensis, Beauveriabassiana, and dimetoat. The results showed that the observated in 43 days after growth, dimetoatinsecticide and papaya seed insecticide effectived aplicable to Lamprosema indicata F. (12.98%)and (23.37%), with total larvae 1.34 dan 1.44. but for Spodoptera litura F. mahogany seedinsecticide is effectived (29.42%).Keywords : Soybean, Lamprosema indicata, Spodoptera litura

Abstract

The effect of grain texture on several comodities to adult of Sitophilus oryzae L. (Coleoptera:Curculionidae) in laboratory” supervised by Syahrial Oemry and Yuswani Pengestiningsih. Thisreseach aims to know the effect of grain texture on several comodities to adult of S. oryzae. Thiswas done in Laboratory of Perum Bulog Kantor Divre SUMUT Medan since January untill March2013. The method of this research was Completely Randomized Design Non Factorial with eighttreatments and three replicants.The results showed that treatment of P5 , P7 , P1 , P3 at 165.33 ,163.33 , 150.00 , 78.67 tail, in the treatment greatly affect breeding S. oryzae . Whereas the finetexture of flour showed a decrease in population size in the treatment P2, P4, P6, and P8 at 8.33,8.33, 10.00, 10.00 tail . Texture on the surface of each type of feed greatly affects the proliferationof pests powder S. oryzae .Keywords:Texture of media, S. oryzae.
