Abstract

Efforts to improve nutritional status for the development of human resources quality begin as early as possible, through 1000 HPK activities, starting from the fetal life to 2 years of age. One of the activities that support early detection of stunting under-fives is measurement and weighing which is carried out every month by health cadres at Posyandu. The purpose of implementing training for Posyandu cadres was to increase the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in anthropometric measurements, and to minimize mis-weighing, measurement errors that make the data invalid and cannot be reported. The implementation method is by providing anthropometric training 1 time, filling out questionnaires before and after the training, by giving measurement tutorial for 120 minutes, and direct monitoring is carried out 1 month after the training. The result of this showed that there was increments of knowledge and measuring skills by Posyandu cadres (P value:0,006). Suggestions for the Posyandu cadres should have training and workshop for maintaining their skill, to be able to carry out anthropometric training regularly every year.

Abstract

Background : Adolescence is a period that is easily influenced by external factors and easy to follow the trends such as online food ordering that is evolve. Adolescent consumption habits are now classified as unhealthy, such as consuming fast food and sweetened beverages that if consumed continuously, excessively, and without physical activity can lead to obesity.Subject : This study aimed to determine the correlation between GoFood promotion, GoFood service, and obesogenic food consumption behavior with adolescent nutritional status (overweight and obesity) at RW 02 Cilandak Barat.Method : The study used a cross sectional design with chi-square test method. Assessment of GoFood promotion and GoFood service using questionnaires, and consumption of obesogenic food using FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire), and anthropometric measurements included weight and height for 64 adolescents.Result : The analysis showed that GoFood promotion (p = 0,880), GoFood service (p = 0,149), and consumption of obesogenic food (p = 0,773) have no correlation (p 0,05) with overweight and obesity.Conclusion : There was no correlation between GoFood promotion, GoFood service, and obesogenic food consumption behavior with adolescent nutritional status (overweight and obesity) at RW 02 Cilandak Barat.

Abstract

Background: Student are in a phase that can be classified as early adulthood or late adolescence at the developmental stage, namely the age of 18-25 years. Teenagers are a group that is vulnerable to environmental changes, specifically health and nutrition issues. Nutrition problems that are always faced by adolescents, namely the problem of multiple nutrition, namely lack of nutrition and obesity. one of the factors that influence nutritional status is protein intake, fiber and sleep duration Objective: To determine the relationship between protein intake, fiber intake and sleep duration with nutritional status of S-1 Nutrition student of Uiversitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta.Method: This study is an observational study with a cross sectional design. 46 students were selected for this study. Dietary intake (protein and fiber) was obtained by interview using 24h recall. Sleep duration was obtained using a sleep time questionaire. Nutritional status was collected by measuring body weight, height, upper arm circumference and ulna. Statistical analysis using the Chi-Square Test.Result: Most of the subjects had sufficient protein intake, less fiber intake and insufficient sleep duration. Most of the subjects had normal nutritional status (76.1%). there is no relationship between protein intake, fiber and sleep duration with nutritional status and nutritional status (p 0.05)Conclusion: adopting a healthy lifestyle by managing adequate sleep and balanced eating habits

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a transition period marked by one of them with physical changes so that they are vulnerable to experiencing nutritional problems. Nutritional problems that often occur in adolescents are multiple nutritional problems, namely poor underweight and overweight. Nutritional status can be influenced by several factors including the intensity of social media usage and sleep duration.Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between intensity of social media usage with sleep duration and nutritional status on nutritional science students in University of Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta.Method: The research design used was a cross sectional study involving 50 respondents from Nutritional Sciences students of 2017 and 2018 who were selected by stratified random sampling. This study uses the Chi Square test with a significance level of 0.05.Result: The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between intensity of social media usage with sleep duration (p-value = 0,000), a significant correlation between intensity of social media usage with nutritional status (p-value = 0.015), and a significant correlation between sleep duration with nutritional status (p-value = 0.005).Conclusion: There was correlation between intensity of social media usage with sleep duration and nutritional status on Nutritional Science students in University of Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Stunting masih menjadi masalah gizi utama yang dihadapi Indonesia khususnya Kabupaten Indramayu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor risiko kejadian stunting pada balita di Kabupaten IndramayuMetode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi Case-Control (kasus-kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian ini yaitu purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak usia 24-59. Besar sample Berdasarkan perhitungan uji beda proporsi adalah 100 anak dengani perbandingani besari sampeli kasus dengan kontrol yaitu 1 : 1. Instrumen penelitian yaitu kuesioner yang sudah divalidasi. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square dan multivariat menggunakan uji regresi logistik ganda (a = 0,05)Hasil: Hasil akhir dari model presiksi terdapat 4 variabel yang Berhubungan dengan stunting yaitu Umur Ibu dengan OR 95%Cl (5,123 (1,855-14,148), pendidikan Ibu dengan OR 95%Cl = 3,608 (1,186-10,975), Pengetahuan dengan OR 95%Cl = 3,112 (1,211-7,955) dan variable ASI Eksklusif dengan OR 95%Cl 3,435 (1,297-9,092).Kesimpulan: Program intervensi kesehatan masyarakat secara daerah dan pemangku kepentingan yang bekerja untuk memperbaiki gizi anak harus fokus pada faktor-faktor penentu ini untuk mengurangi stunting

Abstract

Fase pandemic, belum usai, dan masalah gizi juga belum reda. Stunting adalah gangguan status gizi karena ketidakseimbangan asupan terhadap kebutuhan. Stunting dipengaruhi oleh beberapa factor, salah satunya asupan zat gizi. Konsumsi zat gizi yang cukup, akan memenuhi kebutuhan sesuai usia. Untuk pemenuhan gizi perlu mengkonsumsi 3 kali makanan utama dan makanan selingan 2 kali. Makanan selingan bisa diperoleh dari mengolah sendiri atau membeli jajanan diluar. Usia anak dan balita sudah terpapar oleh jajanan dari luar. Menurut hasil pengujian sampel Pangan Jajanan Anak Sekolah (PJAS) yang diambil di seluruh Indonesia pada tahun 2014, PJAS yang memenuhi syarat yaitu sebesar 76,18% sedangkan target yang harus dicapai adalah sebesar 90%. Pelatihan pemilihan dan identifikasi jajanan sehat anak bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai kelayakan jajanan sehat yang merupakan konsentrasi utama pada masalah tersebut. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di PAUD desa Sukamanah, Kecamatan Baros, Kabupaten Serang, Banten.Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah sebagai sarana sosialisasi pengetahuan mengenai gizi seimbang dan jajanan sehat. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara observasi lapangan, wawancara, sosialisasi dan juga pelatihan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, masih ditemukan status gizi pendek (25% )dan sangat pendek (10%), sebagian besar sasaran mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan jajanan sehat dan gizi seimbang ( 79,6%), jajanan yang sering dikonsumsi sasaran sebelum pelatihan adalah chicki (100 % )dan minuman manis ( 50% ), sebagian besar sasaran mengkonsumsi jajanan 2-3kali/hari (85%).

Abstract

Background: Stunting that occurs at the age of under two years will predict poor cognitive function in thefuture, so as this period is very important to maintain the child’s growth and development. One of which is theoptimal nutritional intake from breastfeed and complementary breastfeeding. Objective: To determine theeffect of breastfeeding practices on stunting in Indonesia based on literature searches. Methods: Literaturestudy of scientific articles in published journals in Indonesia with a population of children aged 6-23 months.Literature search was carried out through three data portals: Google Scholar, Garuda Portal, andResearchGate by using keywords: “stunting”, “ASI”, “6-23 months” and combine the keyword withcombination of (“”) and (AND). Results: 13 journals were appropriate to research topics. There are 10variables related to breastfeeding practices: early initiation of breastfeeding, colostrum, pralacteal feeding,exclusive breastfeeding, time of first complementary breastfeeding, diversity of complementary foods,frequency of complementary foods, status, duration, and length of breastfeeding. Conclusion: Most studiesfound a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting. However, the size of theassociation regarding how much the protective effect of exclusive breastfeeding still shows different numbers.Most of the studies found a significant association between the first time of complementary feeding andstunting.
