Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the world, and Indonesia is also one of them. This pandemic is caused by a virus of the Coronavirus group, namely SARS-CoV-2 or often called Covid-19. This virus can infect the respiratory system, ranging from mild flu to death. The spread of this virus is classified as very fast because through the mouth when coughing or sneezing, this virus can also be transmitted through direct contact with infected people. Therefore, this virus spreads quickly in crowded places. To prevent the rapid spread of the virus, the government is carrying out a program in which people's activities are outside their homes. This restriction is done to reduce activities that can cause crowds. The government also recommends that people reduce the use of air conditioning, optimize natural ventilation and increase the use of sunlight, this can reduce the spread of the virus. Therefore, this study aims to implement strategies that can prevent the spread of Covid-19 in buildings. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the world, and Indonesia is also included in it. Abstract

This study identifies changes that have occurred in Archipelago Traditional Architecture, in this case taking a case study of Traditional Houses in Kamanasa Village, Central Malacca District, Central Malacca District. Data collection was carried out using field surveys and direct interviews with indigenous peoples in Kamanasa Village. The analysis was carried out by comparing and describing the differences that reflect changes in traditional house buildings in Kamanasa Village from an architectural point of view. Along with the times, traditional houses in Kamanasa Village have changed in terms of function, spatial planning, to construction and building materials. This architectural change was influenced by the growing needs of the community, practicality in the development process, to the increasingly limited availability of old materials and began to be replaced with new ones. This architectural change also creates differences between buildings that tend to be sacred or bound by customary rules and buildings where indigenous peoples live in general. The changes occur in spatial planning that adapts to the needs of the occupants' activities. This has implications for the appearance of buildings that seem more closed and private. The standards for health, safety and security for the occupants have also increased, so that traditional houses which function as residences usually have undergone a change in the use of materials that are easy to clean and the use of structures that are felt to be stronger and safer.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand how communal space develops in the Car Free Day (CFD) Renon in Denpasar, which transforms from a traffic space into a social space every week. Combination methods—also known as mixed methods—were used in this research. This method includes a qualitative approach through interviews and observations as well as a quantitative approach through surveys and questionnaires. The focus of the research is on physical space, how the space is used, social interactions, and the impact on the local community. The research results show that the distribution of communities in the CFD is relatively even, and the flow of visitor movement does not significantly affect the distribution of communities. Adequate public space, strategic and easily accessible locations, and opportunities for social interaction among communities are all factors that contribute to a positive community response. However, the issues faced by some communities include visitor congestion that reduces the efficiency of activities and the disorderliness of communal space arrangements in CFD. Therefore, gaining a better understanding of how CFD spaces are used can aid in better urban planning, improve urban quality of life, and encourage similar design efforts in other cities

Abstract

Walking is very important in cities as it helps people to travel from one place to another. Urban areas in Bali are experiencing rapid development as tourism normalises, gradually entering a process of urban renewal. Improving the quality of the pedestrian environment is an important issue. The purpose of this research is to study how a person's physical condition, concepts, and activities affect their physical character and interest in walking. A quantitative method was used using randomly distributed open-ended questionnaires. Pedestrian criteria and facilities will be the source of data categorised in inhibiting pedestrians. A person who wants to walk should have good access and well-maintained facilities so that urban areas can be specialised for pedestrian paths.
