Abstract

A city in overcoming its problem is defined as a smart product known as the smart city concept. Smart city has a conceptual definition as a city that is anticipatively able to manage resources in an innovative and competitive manner, with technological support in order to create a city that is comfortable and sustainable. One of the dimensions in smart city is smart mobility (transportation and infrastructure): Management of urban infrastructure that is developed in the future is an integrated and oriented management system to ensure alignments with the public interest. This study uses a critical review approach with a descriptive analysis method which is carried out by examining an urban problem in general and the theory of smart city through the search for ideas in the literature with the focus of this research is to define the character of smart mobility so that from defining the character, a solution is obtained about the indicator and expectations that are fulfilled to realize a city that has a smart mobility character. Through these methods, characters are generated from a smart city that is responsive, innovative and competitive. From these criteria produce a matrix to explain smart mobility consisting of aspects concerning aspects of less mobility, move freely, and less travel time. From the existence of the character and the matrix is finally cascaded to an indicator of the benchmarking toward smart mobility of a city.Keywords – Smart Mobility, less mobility, move freely, and less travel time

Abstract

The field of architecture has experienced spectacular developments over the years. The reason is that in the Industrial 4.0 era, various breakthroughs and disruptions to the world of architecture have resulted in rapid developments that enable the design process to create more unique and more complex designs. AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology which is currently developing in various scientific fields has the potential for future architectural developments. One of the popular AI developments is the ability to convert images into text which provides potential in the architectural iteration process or what is better known as the phase of looking for reference ideas in the schematic stage. The process of converting certain text or keywords into images can actually help architects to find patterns and shapes that suit preferences, speeding up the design process and producing efficient designs. In addition, AI can predict design performance in various scenarios. It is an attempt to use artificial intelligence to explore early architectural design concepts. The data analysis method used in this research was to observe the effect of using keywords in creating prompts or commands for AI on Midjourney and then comparing them with the results of other images. After the comparative study, it will be measured to what extent the use of AI is implemented in certain situations or conditions in the Architectural Iteration phase that occurs. Based on the results of image analysis, the prompt arrangement is also a control variable used to create specific drawings in creating architectural concept iterations consisting of "Object Type, Material Type, Architectural Style, Architect Name, Style Render, View, Environment/Background and Type of Lighting" With the results of the prompt translation, it can be concluded that the more specific the order of the prompts used as keywords, the more specific the resulting image will be, in this case we can exercise control over the image that we want to generate.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand how communal space develops in the Car Free Day (CFD) Renon in Denpasar, which transforms from a traffic space into a social space every week. Combination methods—also known as mixed methods—were used in this research. This method includes a qualitative approach through interviews and observations as well as a quantitative approach through surveys and questionnaires. The focus of the research is on physical space, how the space is used, social interactions, and the impact on the local community. The research results show that the distribution of communities in the CFD is relatively even, and the flow of visitor movement does not significantly affect the distribution of communities. Adequate public space, strategic and easily accessible locations, and opportunities for social interaction among communities are all factors that contribute to a positive community response. However, the issues faced by some communities include visitor congestion that reduces the efficiency of activities and the disorderliness of communal space arrangements in CFD. Therefore, gaining a better understanding of how CFD spaces are used can aid in better urban planning, improve urban quality of life, and encourage similar design efforts in other cities

Abstract

Structural damage in school buildings poses significant risks to safety and education quality, particularly in remote areas with limited maintenance resources. This study develops a YOLOv7-based model to detect building pillars and classify structural damages, focusing on school buildings in Nusa Penida, Bali. A dataset of 156 images, derived from an initial 521 images collected during field visits, was curated to include both damaged and intact pillars. Preprocessing and augmentation techniques, including resizing and rotation, were applied to optimize the dataset. Training was conducted over 55 epochs using Google Colab with a T4 GPU, incorporating parameter tuning to address dataset imbalance. Confidence thresholds were set at 0.7 for pillars and 0.2 for rebar detection to enhance sensitivity to underrepresented damage classes. Evaluation metrics, including the F1-score and confusion matrix, confirmed the model’s accuracy and robustness in detecting and classifying structural damages. The results demonstrate the model's potential for real-world applications in damage assessment, particularly in resource-limited settings. Future research should focus on expanding datasets, incorporating multi-class classification, and integrating real-time detection and drone-based imagery to enhance scalability and efficiency. This work contributes to developing efficient, AI-driven solutions for structural health monitoring in critical infrastructure.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dalam arsitektur telah mengalami transformasi signifikan, terutama dengan hadirnya kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang menawarkan potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan efisiensi dalam desain arsitektur. Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi metode penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif, eksploratif, dan eksplanatori untuk memahami implementasi AI dalam konteks arsitektur. Pendekatan eksploratif digunakan untuk menggali potensi AI dalam menghasilkan ide dan solusi kreatif, sementara pendekatan eksplanatori berfokus pada menjelaskan hubungan sebab-akibat dan dampak AI terhadap proses desain. Kombinasi metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif (mixed methods) diterapkan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengevaluasi peran AI dalam arsitektur secara holistik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan eksploratif memungkinkan identifikasi peluang baru dalam pemanfaatan AI, seperti algoritma generatif untuk desain geometris kompleks dan simulasi berbasis AI untuk efisiensi energi. Sementara itu, pendekatan eksplanatori memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai bagaimana AI memengaruhi proses desain, termasuk keterkaitannya dengan kreativitas dan efisiensi. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya definisi kasus yang jelas serta integrasi data dalam pendekatan studi kasus untuk mencapai analisis yang lebih mendalam. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan metodologi penelitian dalam arsitektur, khususnya dalam adaptasi teknologi AI. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini tidak hanya mengisi kesenjangan literatur terkait AI dalam arsitektur, tetapi juga memberikan panduan praktis untuk eksplorasi dan inovasi di masa depan.

Abstract

Metaverse sebuah pengembangan teknologi berupa platform digital yang menghadirkan berbagai macam kemungkinan dalam berkreasi. Ruang Virtual dapat dirancang dengan berbagai pendekatan komunikasi visual, elemen interior maupun arsitektur digital yang tanpa batas. Potensi metaverse telah menghadirkan banyak kemungkinan yang tidak terpikirkan. Berbagai sektor seperti pendidikan, teknologi, iklan, retail, real estate dan sektor kesehatan yang menjadi salah satu sektor yang memiliki potensi dalam pengembangan ruang virtual sebagai media terapi. Pengembangan healing environment pada platform virtual dalam penelitian ini berfokus pada menciptakan zona virtual yang dapat digunakan sebagai ruang penyembuhan dan ruang kontemplasi bagi pengguna dengan keterbatasannya dalam melakukan aktivitas. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu melakukan kajian desain arsitektur biofilik dalam merencanakan ruang virtual untuk ruang penyembuhan bagi seseorang yang membutuhkan kenyamanan khususnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam mengkaji sumber dalam perencanaan desain ruang virtual, teori tentang healing environment dan desain arsitektur biofilik, Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan ruang interaktif untuk berbaur dan melakukan interaksi yang diharapkan memunculkan kepercayaan diri bagi pengguna.

Abstract

Celuk Village in Gianyar Regency, Bali, has evolved organically into a prominent silver craftsmanship corridor, forming a unique creative economy ecosystem where production workshops, commercial galleries, and tourist interaction spaces coexist within an interconnected spatial hierarchy. This study employs a spatial quantitative approach to analyse distribution patterns, spatial relationships, and functional hierarchies among 70 silver workshops and galleries across a defined 6-month research period. Spatial point data were collected through GPS-based field surveys, validated with positional accuracy tolerance ≤ 3 m, and processed using QGIS software to perform Point Pattern Analysis (PPA) and Kernel Density Estimation (KDE). The analysis identifies clustering tendencies and spatial density hierarchies, revealing a linear aggregation pattern concentrated along the primary west–east corridor connecting Gianyar and Denpasar. Statistical spatial correlation was measured using Nearest Neighbour Index (NNI = 0.69), indicating clustered distribution, supported by strong positive spatial autocorrelation (Moran’s I = +0.89, p < 0.05), confirming significant spatial dependence between neighbouring business units. To clarify the term functional mapping, field observations incorporated structured indicators of Building Function (production, exhibition, mixed use), Architectural Typology (traditional workshop, modern gallery, hybrid façade, adaptive building), and Activity Intensity Level (frequency of visible workers, visitor presence, façade permeability, sidewalk spill-out, and temporal peak markers). The findings demonstrate that spatial configuration in Celuk is shaped not only by economic efficiency and proximity, but also by symbolic cultural markers—such as temples and traditional ornaments—that reinforce spatial identity and distinguish the district from purely commercial corridors. While clustering supports collaborative resource sharing and visibility, the study also detects spatial imbalance between the main spine and peripheral lanes, signalling emerging commercial pressure and declining activity on secondary routes. For sustainable creative district growth, a scale-sensitive integrated spatial planning framework is recommended, applying thematic production–display–tourism zoning supported by community-based governance to maintain economic–cultural balance, walkability, and cultural authenticity. This research contributes empirical spatial metrics and a replicable methodological structure for developing culture-based creative districts in Bali and Indonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Desa Buahan, terletak di Kecamatan Kintamani, Kabupaten Bangli, Bali, merupakan salah satu bagian dari Geopark Batur. Geopark ini merupakan bagian dari Global Geopark Networks yang didukung oleh UNESCO. Kondisi alamnya masih sangat indah, semua panorama Batur Geopark menghampar akibat bentukan dari kaldera Batur. Pemandangan Ini bisa dilihat dari satu lokasi terbaik dengan akses mudah, yaitu Penelokan. Ini adalah salah satu panorama keunggulan dan pesona kawasan kaldera Batur untuk menjadi salah satu warisan penting dalam bidang geopark yang terkemuka di dunia. Pandangan terbaik dari sudut yang diperoleh dari Penelokan, satu sudut pandang di selatan kaldera. Tentu saja, semua keindahan yang terkandung dalam geopark ini memiliki tantangan dalam manajemen. Kita diwajibkan mewujudkan kawasan geopark Batur menjadi kawasan yang memiliki konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan. Dalam tulisan ini kami menggambarkan pengaruh peraturan tradisional ketekunan geopark tata ruang. Mengumpulkan data dalam tulisan ini menggunakan literatur search library / open dan jurnal yang ada terkait materi pembangunan berkelanjutan, survey dan pencarian melalui internet. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan beberapa alat seperti alat perekam gambar dan suara dan alat tulis lainnya. Kata Kunci : peraturan tradisional, ketahanan spasial ABSTRACT Buahan village, is located in District Kintamani, Bangli regency, Bali, is a small part of Batur Geopark. Batur Geopark is a part of Global Geopark Networks there is supported by UNESCO. Natural conditions are still very beautiful, all of panoramas Batur Geopark consisted by Batur caldera. It is can see from one the best view with easily acces, that is Penelokan. It is one of excellence and charm panorama of Batur caldera region to become one of the important capital of the geological heritage of the landscape in terms of the world geopark region. The best view of the angle obtained from Penelokan, one point of view in the southern of the caldera. Of course, all the beauty contained in this geopark has a challenge in management. We are obliged to realize the Batur geopark region to be the region that has the concept of sustainable development. In this paper we described the influence of the traditional rules of the persistence of spatial form geopark. Collecting data in this paper uses a literature search library / open and existing journals related material sustainable development, survey and search through the internet. Abstract

Open space is a concept of public space to accommodate people from all backgrounds. Open spaces must also consider the existence of people with disabilities. A public open space considered a failure if the public space is not able to accommodate disabled people. The construction and procurement of city parks as one of the typologies of public open space that’s become one of the programs launched by the Denpasar City government in order to improve the quality of life of city dwellers and increase the growth of RTH and city RTNH. The existence of public space as one of the urban space entities is a unit that is not separated from the city system. Which has a role as a fulfillment of the living needs of the community which includes living, working and recreation. The Aim of this study is to provide an analysis of the process of implementing disability accessibility as the main aspect that has been applied to public spaces in Taman Kota Lumintang. This study uses a comparative description method by examining the types and forms of public open space in urban areas which are then compared with regulatory documents and related literature studies. From the analysis obtained from the comparison of existing literature conditions and existing regulations, found that Lumintang City Park conditions were far from ideal conditions for people with disabilities and there was an imbalance between the application of regulations and open public design space. The conclusion is in the form of alternative modeling that provide ideal conditions for Lumintang City Park should. Ruang terbuka publik merupakan suatu konsep ruang untuk mengakomodasi masyarakat dari seluruh kalangan dan latar belakang, dalam artian ruang terbuka publik juga harus mempertimbangkan keberadaan kaum difabel. Suatu ruang terbuka publik dianggap gagal apabila ruang tersebut tidak mampu mengakomodasi masyarakat difabel. Pembangunan dan pengadaan taman kota sebagai salah satu tipologi ruang terbuka publik merupakan salah satu program yang dicanangkan oleh pemerintah Kota Denpasar dalam rangka peningkatan kualitas hidup penduduk kota dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan RTH maupun RTNH kota. Keberadaan ruang publik sebagai salah satu entitas ruang kota merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak dipisahkan dengan sistem kota yang memiliki peranan sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup bagi masyarakat yang meliputi tempat tinggal, bekerja, dan rekreasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan analisa terhadap proses pengaplikasian aksesibilitas disabilitas sebagai aspek utama yang sudah diterapkan pada ruang publik Taman Kota Lumintang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi komparatif dengan mengkaji jenis dan bentuk ruang terbuka publik pada daerah perkotaan yang kemudian dikomparasikan dengan dokumen peraturan serta kajian literatur yang terkait. Dari analisa yang didapat dari komparasi kondisi eksisting terhadap literatur serta peraturan yang ada didapatkan bahwa kondisi Taman Kota Lumintang masih jauh dari kondisi ideal terhadap kaum difabel dan terdapatnya ketimpangan antara pengaplikasian peraturan terhadap perancangan ruang terbuka publik, sehingga dihasilkan alternatif permodelan untuk memberikan kondisi ideal Taman Kota Lumintang yang seharusnya.

Abstract

The rise of urban sprawl - menggurita is a phenomenon resulting from the growth and development of the city as a center of activity and the economy. The sprawl is characterized by the growth of low-density settlements that scattered randomly in suburban areas or peripherals. The growth spread like the octopus tentacles that propagate this causes various effects of negative externalities in the form of pollution, energy efficiency, economic equity, and transportation problems. Based on these problems, this study aims to provide a solution interpretation in dealing with the phenomenon of a city that is overflowing, by studying deeper into the compact city as compacting system or combining the functions of land use and urban activities that are expected to reduce the effects of urban sprawl. By using the critical review method, which focuses on providing explanations, interpretations of the analysis from several literature selected to be used as a reference in finding solutions according to urban compaction loci in dealing with urban sprawl problems. From critical review searches, it is concluded that a compact city is an innovative solution to the phenomenon of random city development (urban sprawl development). One of them by implementing Urban Growth Boundaries (UGB) provides an alternative solution to the problem of sprawl. The compact city promises efficiency in city management. By maximizing the livability of the city and city services, the compactness form symbolizes a form that integrates all the optimal conditions of the city for the sustainability of a city in the future.
