Abstract

Loloan River is located in the Renon village, which borders the Sanur area that has the potential to become a tourist attraction area. However, the current condition is not yet favorable to be used as a tourist area due to the inadequate management of water potential and the arrangement of the Loloan River area. Therefore, a management model and arrangement of the Loloan river area is needed to optimize the development of the Renon Traditional Village around the Loloan River area as a tourist attraction area. The research method used in this study uses descriptive qualitative research methods to create a management and arrangement model that is appropriate to the research location. Management and arrangement model of Loloan River area aims to optimize the development of the Loloan River area as a tourist attraction area that can be done in several ways, including empowering the society in efforts to clean up sediment in the Loloan River Basin so that the river's capacity can be optimal, educating the society about the importance of conserving irrigation channels for sustainable water potential and arrangements in the Loloan River area which can be done by planting around the Loloan River area.

Abstract

Bindu River Ecotourism is a tourist attraction that has natural potential as a place of recreation in the Denpasar City area. Apart from the potential offered by Bindu River Ecotourism, there are still problems that exist in Bindu River Ecotourism including river water which has a lot of sediment, the lack of public awareness to care about the surrounding environment, and the lack of exposure by the public makes only the surrounding community aware of it. If zoning is not carried out in its development, the natural potential of the Bindu River Ecotourism area that has been arranged can be reduced, for this reason, zoning is needed in its development to determine areas in the Bindu River Ecotourism area that are in accordance with the land use and development potential. Based on the delineation and the existing potential, the Bindu River Ecotourism area is divided into a conservation zone and a recreation zone. For the conservation zone, it can be developed into several more zones in the upstream part, it can be developed into a zone for the development of the function of protecting water resources, a zone for the development of the function of protecting flora and fauna as well as limited recreational functions. While the recreation zone can also be developed into several more zones. The upstream recreation zone can be developed into a recreation function development zone and the downstream recreation zone can be developed into an educational function development zone.

Abstract

Ayunan Village, is located in Abiansemal sub-district, Badung regency, Bali. Bali cattle are germplasm that must be preserved, for that we are collaborating with the Bali Karang Ayu and Karya laksana cattle groups in Ayunan village. The maintenance of Bali cattle in partners is very constrained by capital, feed and management of Balinese cattle maintenance is not carried out professionally because it is managed in a family, traditional way and is not a main source of livelihood. Bali cattle maintenance is only a sideline to fill spare time on the sidelines of farming time. The management of cow dung and manure has not been managed properly, which should still be managed into organic fertilizer, sold to farmers so that it can increase the income of farmers, so the solution we offer is to provide assistance and consultation as well as demonstration plots regarding good and correct management of Balinese cattle rearing. to increase Bali cattle production. The results of this community service activity can increase production, productivity as well as produce organic fertilizer from cow dung that can be sold so as to increase the income of Balinese cattle farmers in the two Bali cattle groups that we partner with.

Abstract

Bali has many rivers with river water discharge conditions is quite large and a lot of wasted at the mouth of the river in vain , because not all of the water used for agricultural needs and raw water . Current physical land in the mouth of the river has begun to change from agricultural land into building that support tourism in Bali This is in line with the development of tourism industry of small -scale tourism and large -scale tourism . In line with this condition, the problem is how the characteristics of the river mouth in Bali with the change in land use in the mouth of the river and how water resources management methods that go into the mouth of the river so that water resources be sustainably. Researchmethods that will be used is phenomenology . This is in accordance with the principle of preservation of objects that many studies related to water resources management system . The research process consists of two stages . Results obtained in the form of characteristics of the river , the river mouth morphology after land use change around the mouth of the river, based on secondary data ( reports of Bali Provincial Department of Public Works ) andresearch in the field ( primary data ) , this study uses the software as a tool of analysis . Karakteristik morphology Sowan estuaries ( Perancak and vicinity ) is influenced by the tide . The slope of the river estuary is very gentle with the deposition of sediments in the estuary level is relatively high .Research materials are mostly primary data are searched directly in the research area and equipped with relevant secondary data from the last 5 years of data. Sowan river basin area 205,818 km2 , with rainfall in the basin is about 1,900 mm per year . Kondition for environmental water quality in the river mouth area Sowan obtained Perancak beach water quality data obtained magnitude BOD levels 10.61 mg / land COD levels of 16.47 mg / l . Watershed wide Badung of 52,497 km2, land conditions in  the estuary area of Badung in Denpasar . Land use changes that often occur lately triggered sedimentation / siltation in the river cross-sectional area and also increase the discharge capacity of the body into the river so that it will increase the risk of flooding. Tukad Badung Denpasar flow splitting , 19,601 km river length,  with headwaters located 12 km to the north of Denpasar and empties into the Gulf of Benoa , an important source of raw water for the city of Denpasar and southern Badung regency.

Abstract

Bali has an irrigation system known as Subak. The utilization and operation of Subak, are carried out by involving community participation in it. Mambal Irrigation Area, having great water potential, can still be developed to increase agricultural yields in the Mambal Irrigation Area. The purpose of this research was to determine the management model of the Mambal Irrigation Area to develop agro-tourism with environment-based. The SWOT model, based on the potential and problems that occur in the Mambal Irrigation Area, is used. Based on the location survey and SWOT analysis, the results obtained are the strength of the Mambal Potential water in the Mambal weir can flow during the dry season and rainy season, this potential can be used to increase agricultural yield and develop the area as an agro-tourism environment-based. But on the other hand there are still some problems that occur in the Mambal Irrigation Area. Alternative management, can be done to optimize the existing potential and reduce the negative impact due to existing problems, is by developing environment-based agro-tourism in the Mambal Irrigation Area. Agro-tourism is expected to reduce the land-use change in the Subak area, improve socio-economic conditions in the surrounding area, and can maintain the environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Surface water flowing in the river is a resource of useful raw water to meet the needs of society and as irrigation water is managed by Subak in Bali, Indonesia. Bali has experienced water deficit, along with the increasing number of inhabitants and tourism activities. Results of research of the Ministry of Environment (MOE, 2009) stated that Bali has experienced water deficit of 7.5 billion m3/year in 2000 and 2015 deficit is estimated at as much as 27.6 billion m3 of water/year. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the potential of water in the estuary Saba in order to support ecotourism in coastal areas of the province of Bali and formulating water resource management scheme for coastal areas in Buleleng regency. This research uses quantitative methods with the research location is in the Saba river estuary in Buleleng Regency. Data collected consist of primary data and secondary data. Simulation models for water resources management and statistical analysis using software RIBASIM (River Basin Simulation). As a result of this research is the potential of water in the estuary Saba. The result of measurements in the dry season (September 2013) is amounted to 0.156 m3/sec and in the rainy season (January 2014) of 1,023 m3/sec. Potential water in Saba river estuary based on the simulation of RIBASIM is 9.34 million m3/year, can be used as society water domestic for 81 851 inhabitants, for the water industry (hotel) is 1364 rooms, amounted to 2 ha of fish pond water and for irrigation water (agricultural) is 148 ha. Results of water quality research to the smell, color, temperature, turbidity meet quality standards, while taste, and salinity do not meet quality standards. For the chemical aspect, that is pH and detergent meet quality standards while for BOD and COD does not meet the water quality standard Class I. In terms of biology, total coliform does not meet the quality standards of class I. Saba River water potential for ground water of 7.46 million m3 (6%), residual water irrigation (Return Flow) amounted to 54.74 million m3 (41%) and the balance/allocation of water in an area (water District) amounted to 71.54 million m3 (53%). Water resources management in the Saba River estuary for the water potential in the river estuary can be managed by making reservoirs (reservoir), and dam movement and arrangement of the beach.

Abstract

Ayunan Village, located in the Abiansemal district of Badung, Bali. This village is about 20 km to the north from Denpasar city, towards the village of Sangeh tourist attraction and ayun park. Balinese cattle are germ plasm that must be preserved, because Bali is one of the sources of Balinese cattle breeding and the only area believed to have pure genetic B ali cattle. The increase in income will encourage farmers to raise more cattle, Balinese cattle rearing pattern is still traditional and only as a sideline in between farming time. The process of managing the maintenance of cows in partners has been good although it is still very simple. Direct observations in the Karang Ayu livestock group in Ayunan village, Abiansemal District, illustrated that Bali cattle rearing activities are very constrained by capital, feed, cow rearing management, manure channels and how to increase farmers' income from cow dung processing businesses. The main problems that will be the focus of solving the problem are the low productivity in processing manure into organic fertilizer and the low business efficiency and business sustainability of organic fertilizer products from manure. The methods used are: Presentation and plot as well as direct practice of making manure from cow dung using EM4 candy and fermented for 4 weeks. The results of this activity are expected to increase production and productivity and produce organic fertilizer from cow dung that can be sold so as to increase the income of Balinese cattle farmers in Ayunan Village.

Abstract

Aims: This research will provide an overview of the comparative analysis of watershed characteristics in Bali which are differentiated from watersheds flowing to the north, and watersheds flowing to the south of Bali Province. The aim is to determine the characteristics of each, and proper sustainable management for each watershed. Methodology and Results: This is a descriptive, quantitative research that analyzes and compares the characteristics of the Saba watershed and Unda watershed, where the characteristics analyzed are morphometric and hydrological.  From the analysis, it was observed that the Unda watershed, which has a flow direction to the south of the island of Bali, and the Saba watershed, flowing to the north of the island of Bali, possess several differences and similarities. The similarities include rainfall patterns, high temperatures, and the comparison values between Qmax and Qmin is significant. Meanwhile, the differences include the Saba watershed slope being steeper than the Unda watershed, and the Saba has young geomorphic features, while the Unda watershed possesses advanced geomorphic features. Conclusion, significance, and impact of study: Differences in watershed characteristics lead to differences in the management carried out. Furthermore, in terms of hydrology, where there are lesser differences, the sustainable management of the Saba and Unda Watershed also require conservation in form of a reservoir (weir or dam). This is to enable the storage of water in the rainy period for the dry season.

Abstract

Mengening Beach is located in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia. The average erosion rate in Badung Regency is 1.96 m/year, so the right plan is a submerged breakwater to reduce wave energy coming to the beach, which causes erosion. This building artistically does not lessen the beauty of the beach and sea because it’s below the sea mean sea water level (MSL). Because the beach is a tourist area, it is essential to maintain the beauty of the beach. Two-dimensional wave modeling uses the CMS Wave model on SMS software version 10.1 with two modeling scenarios: before and after there is a submerged breakwater. The two-dimensional wave results show that the submerged breakwater plan can dampen waves in the building placement area, which was initially 1.3 m-1.4 m high to 0.9 m-1.3 m, so this submerged breakwater plan can reduce waves by 10%-40%. From this research, readers can learn how to plan a submerged breakwater and know the performance of the planned breakwater function at Mengening Beach.
