Abstract

The objectives of public devotion based on nationally excelled research this covers: (1) to develop a mathematical problem composing guide based on HOTS and SCE for qualified Madrasah Tsanawiyah teachers, (2) to provide training a mathematical problem composing based on HOTS and SCE for qualified Madrasah Tsanawiyah teachers using the developed guide. This study uses a 4-D (Four D) development research design model according to Thiagarajan, et al (1974: 5). This research model includes 4 main stages, namely the defining stage, followed by the design stage, then towards the development stage, and finally the distribution phase. The research instruments included: (a) the scale of the assessment of the quality of mathematical composing guide based on HOTS and SCE for Madrasah Tsanawiyah teachers, (b) scale of appraisal user response for guidebook, and (c) the Pre Test and Post Test Problem Sheets. The results of the study concluded that the guidebook for mathematical problem composing for SMP / MTs based on HOTS and SCE met the specified quality criteria, which were at least in the good category. In this study, the developed guidebook obtained an evaluation in the excellent category. However, testing to determine the level of practicality has not been done.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya partisipasi keaktifan dan prestasi siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 4 Geyer Grobogan Jawa Tengah dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hal tersebut berdasarkan studi awal yang menemukan bahwa siswa yang aktif baru 23,57% dari keseluruhan siswa dan rata-rata prestasi matematika hanya 66,07. Dengan menerapkan penelitian tindakan kelas dan dengan menggunakan strategi Wide Open Wonder (WOW) berhasil meningkatkan keaktifan dan prestasi matematika siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 terhadap 28 siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 4 Geyer Grobogan Jawa Tengah yang terlaksana sebanyak 2 siklus. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan tes. Keberhasilan penelitian ini yaitu dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa hingga mencapai 58,57% dan meningkatkan rata-rata nilai prestasi matematika mencapai 75,36 serta sebanyak 85,71% siswa telah berhasil melampaui kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasar persoalan tentang masih rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik Madrasah Ibtidaiyah pada bidang matematika, terutama materi geometri kubus dan balok. Berdasar hasil kajian, model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning diperkirakan dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas contextual teaching and learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Kontrol pada penelitian ini adalah kelas dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara, tes uraian pretest dan posttest, serta lembar observasi proses pembelajaran. Instrumen pembelajaran dengan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Adapun teknik analisis pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen lebih efektif daripada kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen, rata-rata n-gain sebesar 56,01% menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas contextual teaching and learning berada pada kategori cukup efektif, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata n-gain sebesar 32,77% yang menunjukkan efektifitas pembelajaran konvensional pada kategori tidak efektif. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran yang menggunakan contextual teaching and learning lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran dengan model konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. [This research is based on the problem that occurs, namely the low critical thinking ability of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students in mathematics subjects, especially geometry cube and cuboid. Based on the results of the study, the contextual teaching and learning model is estimated to be able to solve these problems. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of contextual teaching and learning on the critical thinking skills of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The control in this study was a class with conventional learning. Data collection techniques in this study include interviews, pretest and posttest, and observation of the learning process. Learning instruments with learning plans (RPP), and student worksheets (LKPD). The analysis technique in this study is a descriptive and inferential analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. The test results show that learning in the experimental class is more effective than in the control class. In the experimental class, an average n-gain of 56.01% indicates that the effectiveness of contextual teaching and learning is in the quite effective category, while in the control class an average value of n-gain is 32.77% which indicates the effectiveness of conventional learning in the ineffective category. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that learning using contextual teaching and learning is more effective than learning with conventional models on students' critical thinking skills.]

Abstract

Student proficiency in mathematics, as reflected in learning outcomes, remains a challenge that requires solutions. This study aimed to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the "Collaborative Learning Pairs" strategy. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which included cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection to evaluate the effectiveness of the applied strategy. The "Collaborative Learning Pairs" strategy was an adaptation of the cooperative learning model Think-Pair-Share, which formed learning pairs based on students' abilities, proximity of their homes, gender, and familiarity with each other. The data for this study were students' learning outcomes on flat and solid geometry topics. The research subjects were 28 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 4 Geyer Grobogan during the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Data were collected through tests and observations. The data analysis included descriptive statistics, followed by a comparison with the research success criteria. The findings indicated that the strategy involved stages of student pairing, planning classroom and home activities, implementation, and evaluation. The data analysis results showed that before the strategy implementation (Pre-Cycle), the average mathematics score was 70.5, with only 28.57% of students achieving mastery with a Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM) of 80. In Cycle 1, after applying the strategy, the average score increased to 82.39, with 64.28% of students achieving mastery. In Cycle 2, the average score further increased to 85.32, with 78.57% of students achieving mastery. The results demonstrated that the "Collaborative Learning Pairs" strategy effectively improved students' mathematics learning outcomes. The significant increase in both average scores and the percentage of students achieving mastery from the Pre-Cycle to Cycle 2 indicated that this strategy was a viable solution for addressing the challenges in students' mathematics proficiency

Abstract

Etnomatematika dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan menarik bagi perserta didik. Selain itu, dapat menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap budaya lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi etnomatematika dan mengkaji lebih mendalam tentang konsep matematika pada permainan tradisional layangan, menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil analisis dan pembahasan, menunjukkan bahawa terdapat etnomatematika pada permainan tradisional layangan. Pada bagian kerangka layangan terdapat konsep dasar matematika seperti garis, panjang diagonal, titik sudut, dan sudut. Berdasarkan pengamatan bentuk layangan dapat diperoleh rumus keliling dan luas layang-layang melalui pendekatan dua segitiga kongruen dan dua segitiga sama kaki pada bangun layang-layang. Selain terdapat unsur matematika, permainan tradisional layangan memiliki peran dalam penanaman karakter bagi peserta didik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa layangan dapat digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study investigates the key indicators of interest and motivation in mathematics learning using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to validate their relevance and reliability. Conducted in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, the research involved 111 junior high school students selected through cluster random sampling. Two latent variables were examined: interest, represented by four indicators (feeling of happiness, student curiosity, student attention, and student involvement), and motivation, represented by five indicators (perseverance, tenacity, sharpness of attention, achievement, and independence). Results revealed that only student curiosity (KMO = 0.611) and student involvement (KMO = 0.507) were valid indicators of interest, while perseverance (KMO = 0.685), tenacity (KMO = 0.628), and sharpness of attention (KMO = 0.616) were valid indicators of motivation. The validated indicators highlight the intrinsic and participatory nature of engagement, emphasizing the importance of fostering curiosity, involvement, and resilience in mathematics learning. The findings contribute to the theoretical integration of interest and motivation as interconnected constructs and offer practical implications for designing targeted instructional strategies. This study provides a robust framework for understanding student engagement in mathematics and serves as a foundation for future research on contextual and longitudinal dynamics of these constructs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan kajian teori yang menelaah, menganalisis dan menyimpulkan literatur-literatur dan penelitian-penelitian terdahulu tentang brain-based learning yang dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan cara kerja otak. Kemudian membahas dan mengkaji tentang kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang merupakan kemampuan siswa untuk merumuskan, menerapkan dan menafsirkan matematika dalam berbagai konteks, termasuk kemampuan melakukan penalaran secara matematis dan menggunakan konsep, prosedur, dan fakta untuk menggambarkan, menjelaskan atau memperkirakan fenomena/kejadian. Lebih lanjut kemudian membahas bagaimana keterkaitan brain-based learning dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa.)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami kecemasan matematika pada anak 12 tahun dengan disabilitas ganda (tunarungu dan tunagrahita ringan) dari sudut pandang guru. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan telaah dokumen, seperti rencana pembelajaran dan catatan evaluasi. Analisis tematik mengungkap tiga pokok utama bentuk kecemasan, faktor penyebab, serta strategi pengatasan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan muncul dalam bentuk perilaku menghindar, ketegangan fisik, dan menurunnya motivasi belajar. Faktor penyebab yang dominan antara lain hambatan sensorik, keterbatasan kognitif, tekanan waktu, dan isolasi sosial. Untuk merespons kondisi tersebut, guru menerapkan berbagai strategi seperti penggunaan media visual, permainan edukatif, dan penguatan positif. Meski guru telah menerapkan strategi yang cukup efektif, kurangnya pelatihan dan minimnya sumber daya tetap menjadi hambatan. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan multisensori, pelatihan guru, dan dukungan memadai untuk memperkuat praktik pendidikan inklusif.
