Abstract

Students often make mistakes in solving problems are the function of misconceptions, miscalculations and errors procedure. That's because students do not have the ability to understand the concepts, capabilities in the calculation and the ability to understand the procedure better. This research aims to determine the percentage of types of misconceptions, miscalculations, and procedural errors function procedure eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Godean the academic year of 2016/2017. The research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Godean in class VIII C that all students totaling 32. The selection of research subjects taken on the recommendation of teachers, selected class VIII C because this class has an average mathematics achievement is low. Data collection techniques in this research using the test method and the interview method. The instrument used was a problem in narrative form as much as 6 questions and interview guides students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis techniques to identify each type of mistakes made by the students. The results show the average percentage of misconceptions made by students of 82,292% (very high), the percentage of miscalculations made by the students of 42,708% (medium), and the percentage of procedural errors made by the students of 67,708% (high ). Mistakes made by students of class VIII C SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Godean relatively the same: there is no answer, wrong in understanding and translating the question, in applying the formula to resolve the matter, one to operate the calculations, one in determining the final outcome, not coherently in writing step completion, incomplete in writing steps to resolve and does not use logical reasoning to draw conclusions

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara fasilitas belajar dan kebiasaan belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII Di salah satu MTs Negeri di Kabupaten Ngawi tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di salah satu MTs Negeri di Kabupaten Ngawi semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018, yang keseluruhan berjumlah 272 siswa dan pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terhadap kelas diperoleh kelas VII D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket untuk memperoleh data fasilitas belajar dan kebiasaan belajar serta metode tes untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar matematika. Uji instrumen penelitian: uji validitas, uji daya beda, dan uji reliabilitas. Uji prasyarat analisis meliputi uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji independensi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis product moment dan analisis regresi linear ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara fasilitas belajar dan kebiasaan belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII semester genap Di salah satu MTs Negeri di Kabupaten Ngawi tahun ajaran 2017/2018.

Abstract

The result of the study in a low student is related to many factors. The relationship between time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention are the factors possible that may be linked to learning outcomes. The research is intended to know about is there any positive correlation and significance or not between time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention with mathematics learning outcomes of eight grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan Sleman odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of  VIII grade in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan Sleman in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  VIIIA, VIIIB, VIIIC totaling 86 students. Samples were taken from VIIIB and VIIIC as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention, and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and the test of independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive and significance relationship time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII in odd Semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan Sleman in academic year of 2016/2017. Abstract

The dressing of students disciplinary at IX grade of MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening Banjarnegara in the Academic Year of 2016/2017 and to know the contribution of the student in mathematics learning at grade IX of Islamic Junior High School (MTs) Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening 2 Banjarnegara in the Academic Year of 2016/2017. The type of this research was qualitative by wing purpose sampling. The subject was collected from IX-A. The data was collected using observation and questionnaire. Content validation was used to analyze the instrument of the research. The research was analyzed by using the descriptive qualitative method. Barect on the result of the research, the researcher concludes that the method is learning on a tribute by improvising the students' learning discipline at IX grade of MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibening Banjarnegara Academic Year of 2016/2017. It was shown by the achievement which students got before and after giving an action. The students' average score was 55, and into 57,67, re-teaching affected the low classroom. The middle classroom had an average score of about 60,33 at first and turned into 62,58 because it was given action. The improvement of student's disciplinary learning was contributed by conventional learning. Next, the full classroom about 70,2 before getting action. After giving an action, it increased by about 72. It can be concluded that the improvement of student's disciplinary learning was contributed by learning methods. The re-teaching learning method is contributive because it showed that the full classroom's improvement affects the bottom classroom.

Abstract

Learning based on the group after the students were given Worksheets Students, the teacher will provide problems then described and carried out by teachers in front of the class. It makes the students working on the issue by way of the teacher to face a new problem of students having difficulty in the settlement. The learning model is required that can enhance student learning outcomes by using Model Eliciting Activities. This research aims to know the effectiveness of Model Eliciting Activities against the learning outcomes of students of grade VIII Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Prambanan even semester academic year 2017/2018. This research using quantitative research methods. The population used is grade VIII SMP MBS academic year of 2017/2018. The sample used, i.e., class VIII E and VIII F. Data collection techniques used is the test. The instrument used was a pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used is a prerequisite test analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of research on a significant level of 5% and degrees of freedom = 63 shows; (1) there is a difference in learning outcomes of students using Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) with learning outcomes of students who use conventional learning model class VIII even semester of SMP MBS Prambanan academic year of 2017/2018. (2) Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) is more effective than the conventional model against learning outcomes of students of grade VIII, even semester of SMP MBS Prambanan academic year of 2017/2018.

Abstract

The lack of classmates interaction, lack of motivation to learn mathematics, and low numerical ability in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta were supposed to influence students' mathematics learning. This research aims to know if there is a positive and significant relationship between classmate's interaction, mathematics learning motivation, and numerical ability with mathematics learning outcomes in student class VIII of even semester at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017. This study population is all eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017, which consists of 5 classes with a total of 160 students. Sampling using a random sampling technique to obtained class VIIIC as a sample of a total of 34 students. Data collection instruments using questionnaires technique and test. Test instrument using validity, different test test, and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite test including normality test, linearity test, and independent test. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using simple correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that itive and significant relationships between classmates' interaction, mathematics learning motivation, and numerical ability with mathematics learning outcomes. The significant level of 5%, and  it shows that Fhitung = 20,5505 and Ftabel= 2,9223 so Fhitung > Ftabel, with multiple correlation coefficient of 0,8279 and the regression equation  The result of determination coefficient of 0,6855 and relative contribution  = 13,8625%,  = 8,8713%,  = 77,2662% and effective contribution  = 9,3250%,  = 5,9675%,  = 51,9749% .

Abstract

The problem that underlies this research is the low value of learning outcomes of students, especially in class VII D. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students by using a realistic mathematics education approach to students of class VII D in State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Bambanglipuro even semester 2017 Academic Year / 2018. This study includes Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Data collection techniques used are interviews and tests. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The indicator of the success of this study is the achievement of increased learning outcomes of students. Learning outcomes of students are obtained from the work of solving the description questions. This success is shown by students' learning outcomes achieving an average good category (≥ 61%). Based on the study results using a realistic mathematics education approach in the quadrilateral sub-topic, there is an increase in students' learning outcomes. This is evident from the first cycle test results to the second cycle test, which has increased by 1.76%. In the first cycle, the average test results of students were 42.47. In the second cycle, the average test results of students were 43.22. However, there has been an increase in learning outcomes but has not met the indicators of success.

Abstract

In SMP Negeri 3 Sentolo, the learning activities tend to teacher learning-centered, it causes boredom and tiring of students. This can affect student learning results. One can be applied to solve this problem as an alternative learning model is a cooperative learning model NHT type and Talking Stick type. Therefore the purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model NHT type and Talking Stick type of VII students in SMP Negeri 3 Sentolo Kulonprogo on even semester in the academic year of 2015/2016. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Sentolo Kulonprogo academic year 2015/2016. That is consisting of six classes with 168 students. The samples were taken two classes used random technique sampling for each class. It is obtained VII A as the experimental class I and VII C as the experimental class II. The data analysis technique used a prerequisite test. It includes a normalized test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test of two parties and one party. Based on the calculation of the two parties hypothesis test with significance level a = 5% and 56 degrees of freedom obtained value  and  so ,  then accepted H0 means there is no difference in the students' mathematics learning result which uses cooperative learning model NHT type and Talking stick type. On the other hand, for one party  hypothesis test with significance level a = 5% and 56 degrees of freedom is obtained  and  so , then accepted H0 it means both cooperative learning model NHT type and Talking stick type no more effective than the other one.

Abstract

The use of media in mathematics learning is used to assist students in understanding learning materials. The background of this development research is the absence of media that used in mathematics learning at SMP Muhammadiyah Seyegan and SMP Muhammadiyah Kasihan besides textbooks and worksheets as a learning resource. The purpose of this study was to develop learning media stop motion animation based on material tangent to the circle and to determine eligibility based on the assessment of experts and the students' responses. This research, the method used is Research and Development method. The subjects were expert lecturers, subject teachers, and students in grade VIII SMP and SMP Muhammadiyah Seyegan and SMP Muhammadiyah Kasihan. The object of this study is the learning media stop motion animation in the material tangent to the circle for grade VIII Junior High School. The stage of collecting data through direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires with research instruments such as questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of qualitative data. The results showed that the developed learning media are included in the category of very decent (ideals percentage of 85.98%). Judging from the aspect of media, materials, and instructional media student responses are developed each get an average score of 89.5 respectively (criterion ideals 85.6%), 71.5 (percentage ideals 89.38%), and 57.85 (percentage ideals 82.64%). Thus mathematics learning media stop motion animation based on material circle tangent to class VIII SMP fit for use by students and teachers as a learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and emotional intelligence with the math results in class VIII even semester at State Junior High School 2 Purwodadi (SMP Negeri 2 Purwadadi) Ciamis regency. The academic year of 2017/2018. This research sample is VIII class student at even semester in SMP Negeri 2 Purwadadi Regency of Ciamis academic year 2017/2018, which consists of class VIIIA, VIIIB, and VIIIC that consist of 71 students. The sample was taken from class VIIIA with a random sampling technique to the class. Data collection techniques used questionnaire method to obtain self-confidence data and emotional intelligence and test methods to obtain data of mathematics learning result Data analysis using product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence with the results of learning mathematics class VIII Semester Even SMP Negeri 2 Purwadadi Ciamis Regency Year 2017/2018. This is shown by the test- t is t_count > t_table or 2,9720 > 2.0595. The simple correlation coefficient (r) between self-confidence and mathematics learning result of 0,5110 with linear regression equation Y Ì‚ = 35,0491 + 0,3939 X_1. There is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence with mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VIII Semester Even SMP Negeri 2 Purwadadi Ciamis Regency Year 2017/2018. The test indicates this- t is tcount > ttable or 3.0221 > 2.0595. Simple correlation coefficient (r) between emotional intelligence with mathematics learning result of 0,5173 with linear regression equation Y Ì‚ = 28,1534 + 0,4740 X_2. there is a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and emotional intelligence with the result of learning mathematics with Fcount > Ftable is 7,4311> 3,4028 with R = 0,6184 and R2 = 0,3824 with Y Ì‚ = 15,8994 + 0, 2828X_1 + 0.3454X_2 with RC X_1= 49,0058% and RC X_2 = 50,9942% EC X_1 = 18,7415% and EC X_2 = 19,5019%.
