Abstract

Drugs and health storage are components of public health services included dental health service in public health center and hospital. Public health center consider root canal treatment and medicament that used for that treatment. The objective of this study was to know treatment of pulp gangrene in four public health centers and a hospital. This study was descriptive observational   with cross sectional method. Population of this study was patients who diagnosed pulp gangrene in four public health center and a hospital on Juli to Agustus 2013.  This study used probability sampling for taking samples in population continued simple random sampling. The result showed the treatments of pulp gangrene were medication, extraction, and sterilization. Treatment in public health center focused in preventive treatment.

Abstract

Until todays, dental caries disease is a major problem in a child's oral cavity. Children aged 6-10 years old are vulnerable to dental and oral diseases. The aim of this study was to describe the severity of dental caries in primary school children in 10 districts in Jember. An observational study with cross sectional approach was conducted in July-September 2015. Accidental sampling was 102 children of primary school grade 1 to grade 6 in 10 districts in Jember (Ambulu, Balung, Ledokombo, Tanggul, Mayang, Gumukmas, Jenggawah, Pakusari, Rambipuji and Sukorambi). The variables studied were deciduous tooth caries with four categories of severity i.e. pulp irritation (IP), pulp hyperemia (HP), gangrene of the pulp (GP), gangrene roots (GR). Data were presented in descriptive research results with a frequency distribution table and a bar chart. The results showed that most cases of primary teeth were gangrene tooth root 626 (38.1%), subsequently gangrene dental pulp 454 (27.7%), 360 dental pulp hyperemia (21.9%), and cases of irritation of the pulp were at least 202 teeth (12.3%). The high incidence of gangrene roots caused by deciduous teeth which have a tendency to be more susceptible to the development of caries lesions, lack of knowledge, awareness and motivation of parents of the importance of maintaining oral hygiene, the transition period the child's diet between home-cooked meals with school meals, which tend to choose cariogenic foods.

Abstract

Frequency of dental caries in Indonesia in 2004 reached 90.05% with the state of the teeth can be apical tooth tissue disorders, gangrene pulp, gangrene radix, pulpitis, hyperemia pulp and pulp irritation. The treatment can be done in cases of pulp and periapical tissues were extracted and sterilization. The research was to determine the type of treatment that is done for cases of pulp and periapical tissues in health centers and hospitals. This type of study was an observational cross-sectional approach. The data was recorded from data of patients who come to visit Dental's clinic in Puskesmas Kencong, Puskesmas Jenggawah, and Bondowoso Hospital. The case of pulp disorders and periapical tissues, health centers's treatment was more extraction preceded by medication or not and hospital's treatment was more performed sterilization will be made permanent restoration.

Abstract

Introduction: The problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics is a growing problem worldwide. Health center as a unit of local government health services are organized dental health services in the areas they use different types of antibiotics in improving public health. Purpose: discuss the administration of antibiotics in healthcenters. Results: The pattern of antibiotics has differences between health centers both in the amount and types of antibiotics. Conclusion: A wide range of variation of administration of antibiotics in health centers could occur because of differences in the availability, knowledge and creativity dentist dentist in the clinic

Abstract

Public Health Center is a functional organization that organizes health effort that is comprehensive, integrated, equitable, acceptable and affordable to the public. Performance of health workers in govermment health care organizations is still low. Coverage of patients in dental clinics that are low performing dentist is not optimal. The research aims to find the services provided by the dentist at the health center Sumbersari in the period January to June 2012.

Abstract

SKRT 1995 showed that 63% of Indonesia people got active dental caries or tooth decay that had been in treatment. Patients usually come to dental clinic is in severe condition and with pulp inflammation. The treatment is endodontic intacanal. Otherwise, not all of hospitals give recommendation for patient to take this treatment. The aim of this study was to know services/ treatment pattern that given by hospital. This was descriptive study that did in Balung, Genteng, and Kalisat hospital. This study used secondary data such as patients visiting data for knowing kind of service that given by dentists. The result showed Balung hospital gave endodontic treatment, but the others didn’t give it.

Abstract

Students of schools for disabled are more highly risky to have poor dental hygiene condition than that of the normal ones. They need more attention in order to possess the same condition as normal children. The present study animed at knowing the dental hygiene of students in elementary school for disabled in Bintoro District Jember Regency. The Approach used was cross-sectional. The result shows that there is no correlation between genders and classes existed and student’s dental hygiene.

Abstract

Dental and oral diseases are the first on the list of the top 10 common diseases that complaint by Indonesian. Periodontitis is one of dental and oral diseases that usually found in Indonesian. Periodontitis is dental supporting tissue inflammation that caused by certain microorganism and caused periodontal tissue destruction. The major etiology of periodontitis is plaque bacteria. The aim of this study was to know periodontitis treatment in public health center care (Puskesmas) Sumbersari, Wuluhan and Bondowoso Hospital. This study was retrospective descriptive. Sampling technique used secondary data, sampling based on previous data in Puskesmas Sumbersari, Wuluhan and Bondowoso Hospital. Population of this study was patient who came in Sumbersari, Wuluhan and Bondowoso Hospital, about 812 patients. The samples were patients who diagnosed periodontitis, about 199 patients. The result showed that periodontitis was the most oral diseases that found in Puskesma Sumbersari, Wuluhan and Bondowoso Hospital. Puskesmas Sumbersari had the most incidences of periodontitis, it was about 120 patients. The most treatment of periodontitis was periodontal medication and tooth extraction. The conclusion described there was difference treatment in each public health care center and hospital.

Abstract

Cultural advancement of society will be accompanied by an increase in the demands of life. The demands of health, especially dental and oral health is an integral part of health in general and subsequently became one of the keys to the success of national development 1. Indonesia public awareness of the importance of oral health is still relatively low when compared with other countries. The community is still reluctant to health check their teeth, even not a few others who are afraid of seeing a dentist. This led to increasingly complex problems of oral health. Developments in medicine and dentistry in particular have grown so rapidly mouth. Types of care and handling of the increasingly diverse, so the facilities demanded more complete service and integrated. Complaint data on the patients most DJATIROTO RSU 2010 is the patient with dental pulp hyperemia (HP) of 901, pulp gangrene (GP) of 913, gangrene radik (GR) 255, 431 as much persistence, abscesses and gingivitis as many as 468 580. Therapy is the most widely performed on HP gear is a composite material compact and dense glass ionomer (GI), with GP dental root canal treatment with medication and some do the extraction, the tooth with medication and GR is the extraction, the tooth with the persistence of the action extractions, abscesses and open burs with medication and in the case of gingivitis skalling action.

Abstract

Indonesia's oral and dental health problems are quite high, including in Kaliwates Subdistrict. The newest method for looking at oral and dental health conditions operates WHO standard dental and oral health forms. Oral health data can be used as preventive, curative, and rehabilitative measures. The aim of this study was to determine oral health profile based on WHO standards in Kaliwates Subdistrict, Jember Regency. The research conducted was a descriptive observational with the cross-sectional approach by multiple clusters random sampling. The respondents were 97 people who stayed in Kaliwates and were 35-44 years old. Examination based on WHO standard dental and oral health form included dentition status, periodontal status, loss of attachment, email fluorosis, dental erosion, oral mucosal lesion, intervention urgency, and denture status. Data was processed based on each variable using the SPSS frequency distribution and presented in the table. Oral and dental health features were crown caries (99%) and roots (8.2%), restoration with caries (13.4%) and without caries (14.4%), extracted due to dental caries (38.1%) and other causes (3.1%), fixed prosthesis (2.1%), unerupted tooth (67%), fissure sealant (0%), gingival bleeding (72.2%), pocket 4- 5 mm (55.7%) and ≥ 6mm (1%), attachment loss of 0-3 mm (46.4%) and 4-5 mm (53.6%), very mild fluorosis (1%), enamel erosion (16, 5%) and dentin (3.1%), oral mucosal lesions ie other lesions (2.1%), need for non-urgency treatment (95.9%), and removable dentures (3.1%). Oral health profile based on WHO Standards in Community of Kaliwates Subdistrict showed some cases of oral disease that wasn’t need urgency treatment.
