Abstract

This research motivated by  carrying out events by banquets, the application of procedures is important as a guide to anticipate various kinds of unexpected situations that will be faced by the hotel as well as a reference for carrying out work. Implementing the right procedures in running an event will greatly facilitate the banquet employees in completing their work.In this study, the authors use descriptive qualitative methods, this method will assist researchers in providing an overview, conditions or phenomena needed by researchers. The technique used by the author in collecting data is observation, interviews, literature study and documentation of the Banquet Manager and Supervisor of The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru.The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the event by The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru's banquet runs according to the established procedures although there are still some obstacles such as changes in layout, lack of order, lack of staff and miss communication between banquet employees.   Keywords: Procedure, Event, Banquet

Abstract

Evolving an area make the business including increased. This is mareked with theestablishment of a luxury hotel, especially in Sumatra Riau in Pekanbaru. To provideaccommodation for tourist, many hotels are standing here like a five star hotels, one of thegrand jatra hotel Pekanbaru. This study aims to find out the job design and suitability of jobdesign laundry section Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive qualitativemethod to analyze problems based on data collection techniques of interview, observation, anddocumentation which then draw conclusion. Job design includes the division of labor and jobvariation to all staff. Sources of data from this research is obtained from the interview with allstaff of Laundry section Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru. Abstract

Motivation is a condition that moves staff to be able to achieve the goals that havebeen determined. Based of theory Hergberz, a motivation influenced of motivatorfactor and hygiene factor. Therefore, the authors are interested to examine aboutwork motivation of staff sales & marketing department in Turi Beach ResortBatam.The sample used in this research is all staff of sales and marketing in TuriBeach Resort Batam which amounted to 8 people by using census samplingtechnique. This research uses quantitative descriptive method to categorize thedata then compiled by using frequency. And for data collection techniques in thisresearch using interviews, observation and questionnaires. By using Likert scalaas a measuring tool.Based on the result of research obtainted on work motivationof staff sales & marketing department in Turi Beach Resort Batam have highwork motivation. Abstract

The purpose of this research is employee satisfaction Food and Beverage Service Department in work and efforts to improve employee job satisfaction Food and Beverage Service Department in Hotel Pangeran Pekanbaru. Which consists of five dimensions which are job it self, reward, promotion, superiors, and co-worker. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method.The population of this research is all staff of food and beverage service department at Hotel Pangeran Pekanbaru. The sample in this study the researchers used a saturated sample. Data collection techniques in this study using interviews, questionnaires and documentation. By using an instrument measurement scale that is likert scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. Based on research conducted at Hotel Pangeran Pekanbaru, the result of data processing indicate the level of job satisfaction of employees who have been satisfied with job it self, reward, promotion, superiors, and co-worker.

Abstract

The role of government tourism office is very important in the development of a tourist attraction. The purpose of this research is to know the role of government tourism office  on Bengkalis Regency in developing the site of Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut and what are the inhibiting factors and supporting factors in the development of the site so that later it can increase the number of tourist visits. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research are show that as a motivator Bengkalis Regency Government Tourism Office plays a role in providing motivation to the community in the development and preservation of historical sites and involving the community in its management. As a facilitator, the Tourism Office plays a role in facilitating facilities and infrastructure in stages to meet the needs of visiting tourists. Meanwhile, as a dynamist, the Tourism Office collaborates with various parties such as the community, village administrations office and the government in the development of tourism for Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut. The historical value and high Malay culture are supporting factors in the development of historical tourism at the Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut site. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the lack of awareness of the surrounding community towards Malay historical heritage, inadequate development funds, and access to Tomb I and Tomb II which can only be passed by motorbike.   Keyword : The Role of the Government Tourism Office, Development,Tourism Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut Site.

Abstract

Senua Island is an located island not far from the village sepempang district bunguran Timur. The island is located in the south china sea bordering the eastern state of malaysia (north kalimantan). Senua Island is an area that has been set as a conservation area. This study aims to determine: (1) to describe the natural tourist attraction on the Senoa Island; (3) The government's efforts to develop tourist attractions In the senoa island.This study used a qualitative method with descriptive approach, this subjects of this study werw taken from Tourists, Tourism Awareness Chiefs, Tourism and Culture Offices and additional informants of the Fisheries Department.. The data collection is made by a study of documents, observation, interview, documentation.The results showed that the attractions of senua island has a natural tourist attraction like the natural beauty of the Senoa Island, natural beauty under the sea on the Senoa Island.. Other natural attractions such as cave birds nest besides the animals and plants on this island is not much so that the uniqueness of its own in this island. In addition, carrying out the activity that attracts the audience such as the release of hundreds of turtle children. The conclusion of this research is a tourist attraction Senoa Island has a natural tourist attraction that can be developed as a leading tourist and add existing facilities on the Senoa Island.Keywords : attraction, natural tourism, senoa island

Abstract

The rapid devolopment of hotels in Pekanbaru has resulted in high competitiveness to attract guests to stay at hotels, this makes hotel managers must think of ways to increase the occupancy of hotel rooms the manage. The high competition of hotels in Pekanbaru requires the promotion and management of hotel room facilities that are in line with the hotel star rating. In this case, Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru is one of the hotels that aggressively promotes to increase room occupancy. This study aims to decrible the method of determining room rental rates and describes a strategy of detemining room rental rates in increasing room occupancy at the Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive qualitative method to analyze problems based on interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques wich are then drawn conclusions. The determination of room rental rates includes the methods and startegies used by management in determining room rental rates. From the results of the study, it apprears that the use of methods and strategies is good enough, but there is still a need for increased coorpertion with the govermment.keywords: room rates, method, strategies, occupancy

Abstract

The backround of this research aims to knowing image. To identify the basic strategy and positionin process od PT shirotol jannah Tour and Travel in building the image. Positioning is interesting to study because it is one way to build the trust of consumers in building images. This research usesmethod qualitative method to process the data obtained in the field through interviews, observations and documentations. The analysis technique in the study uses a positioning strategy philip korter. Uses basic positioning strategies to find out how tu build an image wiht positioning strategi. The results of this study are PT. Shirotol jannah Tour and Travel applying corporate image that is service, product and price.using only 4 ( four ) basic strategy and using only 3 (three) positionin process. Keywords :Respon of visitors, resort and recepcionist

Abstract

In the tourism industry especially the hotel sector in Pekanbaru City is a promising business field. The large number of hotels in Pekanbaru makes the management of each hotel compete in providing a good service in order to increase customer satisfaction. In this case Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru takes into consideration consumer satisfaction in the Food and Beverage Product section in several indicators, specifically appearance, portion, taste and time. Therefore, this study aims to describe how customer satisfaction with the menu at Kunyit Resto Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru based on several indicators. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire  by consumers at Kunyit Resto Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru. To test the research, the researchers compiled an experimental field conducted on 100 costumers/ respondents at Kunyit Resto Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru. After the food and Beverage service is finished, each customer is given a questionnaire consisting of 19 questions to find out their satisfaction. The results showed that consumer satisfaction was very dominant on the taste indicator with the highest percentage count, 96.66%. Keywords: Consumer Satisfaction, F&B Product , Hotel

Abstract

This study aims to determine the tourism promotion strategy that has been implemented by the Department of Tourism and Culture of Rokan Hulu Regency to determine the inhibiting factors of the promotional activities carried out. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The main informant of the research is the Head of Marketing at the Rokan Hulu Regency Tourism Office. Supporting informants are the Destinations Division of the Tourism and Culture Office of Rokan Hulu Regency. Data collection was carried out by direct observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study concluded that the tourism promotion mix has been implemented by the Department of Tourism and Culture of Rokan Hulu Regency, namely advertising (Advertising), sales promotion, and public relations. In addition, the inhibiting factor for promotion is the local community who does not want to cooperate with the Tourism and Culture Office of Rokan Hulu Regency, accommodation such as roads that are still very limited and cannot be passed by cars, management and human resources are still lacking causing the Department of Tourism and Culture to find it difficult to carry out promotional activities. Keywords: promotion mix, promotion strategy, tourism
