Abstract

Deaths from heart and blood vessel disease in Indonesia by 26.3%. We assumed that only the low-fat diet will lower triglyceride levels, it is not entirely true. Since the main cause is excessive sugar consumption. It is therefore also important to avoid foods that are carbohydrates that have a high glycemic value, which is the glycemic value is how much carbohydrate that can be converted into sugar (Candra, 2010). The objectives of the study know the relationship between the pattern of consumption, fiber intake, simple carbohydrates and potassium in patients with triglyceride levels in the Heart Hospital M. Yunus. Obeservasional research method using cross-sectional design. Sampling in this study using non-probability sampling technique particularly with the way many as 123 people Proposive Sampling. By Karl Pearson correlation test, there is a strong relationship and patterned negative (p = 0.000) in this case based on the composition of the dish with triglyceride levels. There is a relationship between the intake of simple carbohydrates with triglyceride levels of heart disease patients (p = 0.004). It can be concluded that the dominant factor associated with triglyceride levels of heart disease patients are carbohydrates derived from food and beverage patients.

Abstract

Body image distortion has been linked with mind, emotion, sensation and strongly related tosize, and shape of individual performance. This research aimed to investigate the perception of bodyimage for adolesscent in the second grade of senior high school in SMAN 1 Bogor. A qualitative designwas used to conduct this research by using indepth interview with phenomenology approach. Six students,who were all women, consist of three students were overweight/obese and the other were lean.Allof students were interviewed regarding their perception related three domain areas which were: bodyperception,perception of current body and efforts for achieving the ideal body composition shape. Thefindingsindicated the three student who were overweigt/obese pointed out that they were happy andacceptedwith their performance but they were not better performing. The other of three student whowerelean stated that they had many perception with their body image such as: thin, was not goodlooking,andunbalancing high and weight. Almost all of the students had a similar perception abouttheirbody image whether they were overweight/obese and lean. They were not unhappy with their performance,but they had the same opinion about ideal body shape.

Abstract

Hypertension is a medical condition characterized by elevated blood pressure beyond normal limits. Management strategies for hypertension can be pharmacological or non-pharmacological. This study aims to evaluate the effect of administering "semundu" juice combined with yogurt on reducing blood pressure in individuals with hypertension in the Jembatan Kecil Health Center area, Bengkulu City, in 2024. A total of 28 participants with high blood pressure were randomly assigned to one of four groups: P0 (control group receiving educational leaflets), P1 (200g watermelon juice, 100g cucumber, and 20ml honey), P2 (100g Ambon banana, yogurt), and P3 (200g watermelon juice, 100g cucumber, 20ml honey, and yogurt). The Kruskal-Wallis test results indicated that the administration of "semundu" juice combined with probiotics significantly affected both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as evidenced by a p-value of less than 0.05. All treatment groups demonstrated a reduction in blood pressure, with significant differences observed between the groups: P0 vs. P3 (p-value < 0.02), P1 vs. P3 (p-value < 0.034), and P2 vs. P3 (p-value < 0.01). These findings suggest that "semundu" juice combined with probiotics has a notable impact on lowering blood pressure in individuals with hypertension.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition when hemoglobin is lower than normal levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of protein intake, iron, vitamin C and vitamin B12 in adolescent girls of SMKN 3 majoring in culinary. This research method uses analytical observation with a cross sectional method. the sample used in this study was 60 young women majoring in cosmetology taken using simple random sampling. Intake of protein, iron, vitamin C, vitamin B12 using the 3x24 hour Food Recall form and measurement of Hb levels using the Earsy touch GcHb tool. Univariate and bivariate data analysis were processed using the chi-square test with a significance level of a=0.05. Conclusion most of the respondents had insufficient intake of protein, iron and there was a significant relationship, while vitamin c and vitamin B12 with the incidence of anemia did not have a significant relationship.

Abstract

Nutritional status reflects condition body resulting from consumption of food and nutrients that function as a source of energy, growth, development, tissue repair, and regulators of the body's metabolism. Nutritional status influenced various factors as daily diet, intake and lifestyle, types of drinks consumed, and physical activity. Purpose study determine relationship between consumption patterns snacks, sweet drinks and physical activity with body mass index D3 students majoring in nutrition at Poltekkes kemenkes bengkulu in 2024. Study used analytical descriptive design crossectional design. Sample of 46 people was selected random sampling technique. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using Chi-Square a significance level α=0.05. Consumption pattern of snacks, sugary drinks and physical activity with body mass index was significant. Relationship between consumption snacks with BMI p-value 0.001, consumption sugary drinks with BMI p-value 0.004, physical activity and BMI p-value 0.002.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of giving cucumber juice and boiled bay leaf water on blood pressure in pre-elderly women in the work area of Telaga Dewa Health Center, Bengkulu City. The method used in this study was quasi- experimental with a random pre-test and post-test design. The treatment given to pre-elderly women (45-59 years) with blood pressure of 130/80-139/89 mm/Hg and not taking medication in the morning, namely 100 grams of cucumber juice and 100 grams of boiled bay leaf water, was given for 7 consecutive days. The analysis of the Wilcoxon test showed a significant relationship, namely P-value <0.005 for systolic blood pressure of 0.001 and diastolic blood pressure of 0.001. Cucumber juice and boiled bay leaf water can lower blood pressure in pre-elderly women. Cucumber juice and boiled bay leaf water can be used as the most functional agents recommended to help lower blood pressure. Tujualn penelitialn ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian pemberialn jus mentimun daln air rebusan daun salam terhadap tekanan darah wanita pra lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Telaga Dewa Kota Bengkulu. Desalin yalng digunalkaln dallalm penelitialn ini aldallalh Quasi Experimentall dengaln ralncalngaln pre test alnd posttest design. Perlalkualn yalng diberikaln pada wanita pra lansia(45-59 tahun) dengan tekanan darah  130/80- 139/89 mm/Hg dan tidak sedang mengkonsumsi obat di pagi hari, yalitu jus mentimun 100 gram dan air rebusan daun salam sebalnyalk 100 gralm diberikaln selalmal 7 halri berturut-turut. Alnallisis daltal menggunalkaln uji Wilcoxon menujukaln aldal hubungaln yalng signifikaln yuitu P-vallue <0,005 untuk tekalnaln dalralh sistolik yalitu 0,001 daln sedalngkaln dialstolik 0,001. Jus mentimun daln air rebusan daun salam dalpalt menurunkan tekanan darah wanita pra lansia. Jus mentimun dan air rebusan daun salam dapat dijaldikaln sebalgali balhaln palngaln fungsionall yalng direkomendalsikaln untuk membalntu menurunkaln tekalnaln dalralh.
