Abstract

One of the causes that classroom-based assessment has not been applied in Senior High School nowadays because most of chemistry teachers have difficulties to develop the desired assessment as needed at the educational unit level curriculum. To solve this problem, a research was done to develop classroom-based assessment tool that is valid, practical, and effective for chemistry learning material in stoichiometry on Senior High School. The research method used was a development research. Research activities were conducted three years consisting of three stages, namely front-back analysis,prototyping, and implementation. Date were collected throught classroom observations, interviews with students, teachers, chemistry education expert,student work analysis, and achievement test. The result of first year showed that classroom-based assessment tool developed showed the validity criteria in term of its content and construction. The implementation conducted in the second year in SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, SMA Babussalam, and SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. The implementation result also showed the practical criteria, meaning that students and teachers can use it without significant constaint.

Abstract

The development of research aimed at developing Contextual-based Student Worksheet valid, practical, and effective for learning chemistry inorganic. The method used is development research (development research). The research was conducted in six months and consists of four stages, namely the definition phase (define), the design (design), development (develop), pendesiminasian (desseminate). New research to the development stage. The research data were collected through evaluation sheets filled in by the validator. The results showed that the Student Worksheet based Contextual of learning material developed for the reduction of oxidation, elements and complex compounds have valid criteria in terms of format, technical and content.Keywords: Development, student Worksheet, contextual, Inorganic chemistry

Abstract

The implementation of cooperative learning model Question Student Have been implemented in Class XI SMAN 5 Pekanbaru aims to increase the activity and student achievement on the subject of the solubility and solubility product. This study is experimental with pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of grade XI IPA 4 as an experiment and as a class XI IPA 6 controls were randomly selected from two classes homogeneous. Applied experimental class of cooperative learning model Question Student Have whereas the control class without the application of the cooperative model Question Student Have. Data collection techniques use the observation sheet and test Based on observations of classroom learning activities has conducted experiments during the process of learning activities in accordance with the model applied and obtained tcount > t table (2.258> 1.67) means the implementation of cooperative learning models Question Student Have can improve student achievement on the subject of solubility and product solubility in class XI SMA 5 Pekanbaru, with an increase of 6.53%.Keywords: cooperative Question Student Have, activity and Learning Achievemen

Abstract

Research of development that held to produce student worksheet (SWS) based on valid inquiry, practice, and effective to complete courses of chemistry learning strategy. The method that used is research of development. The research used consists of four steps, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate, because the limit of time and cost, research just used until to development step. Data of research collected through evaluation sheets filled by validator. Internal validation of SWS describe that SWS writing contain indicators assessment, writing use capital letters, the distance between topic letter with information letter was different, but still used more than 10 words in line. For contain assessment can used by students with various understanding, yet include steps to find, but give various activities (read, discuss, and answer). SWS give opportunities to find different information because instruction that used in exercise requires students to read paper and another book. This activity can develop social and emotional relation, because students werediscuss in their group. Language that used has same with intellectual level of students. Format assessment describe that SWS have a title, purpose, resume, work steps, questions and include reference, also table. It requires students to implement the examples in learning activity.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to increase student achievement by application ofcooperative learning model POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) on learning topic ofthermochemical in XI IPA SMA N 9 Pekanbaru. This is an experimental research withrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. Subject of this research are XI IPA 4as the experimental class, XI IPA 3 as the control class which were determinedrandomly after conducting normality and homogeneity test. The experimental groupwas treated with the application of cooperative learning model POE (Predict, Observe,Explain) while the control group without the application cooperative learning modelPOE (Predict, Observe, Explain). The data analysis to test the hypothesis was using ttestright side. Based on the data analysis, it is obtaine tcount = 3,53 and ttable = 2,00 withα=0,05, dk = 73, tcount > ttable is 3,53 > 2,00, It’s mean that the application ofcooperative learning model POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) can improve studentsachievement on the subject of thermochemical in XI IPA SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: Development of learning media based on Visual Basic 6.0 on the topic rate of reaction has been done. Development of learning media to get a valid learning media. The research and development method used ADDIE models which consists of five stages are analysis, design, development, implement and evaluate. Data collected technique used validation sheet was given to three validators (two of media expert and a matter experts). The results showed score of the designing aspectswas 3,73; pedagogic aspects was 4; the content aspects was 3,83; the ease of use aspects was 3,93.Average score overall validation of learning media based on Visual Basic 6.0 on the topic rate of reactionwas3,87.Average score overall validation of learning media based on Visual Basic 6.0 show that this media is valid and can be use in learning process.Key Words: Learning Media, Visual Basic 6.0, Rate of Reaction

Abstract : The research on application of active learning method Learning Starts With A Question (LSQ) has been done to improve of student achievement on the subject of Atomic Structure in class X SMAN 11 Pekanbaru. Form of the research is experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consist of two classes, namely class   X IPA 4 as the experimental and class X IPA 2 as control class which randomly selected after had tested normality and homogeneity. Experiment class was given implementing active learning method Learning Starts With A Question (LSQ) while the control class was not given implementing active learning method Learning Starts With A Question (LSQ). Abstract

Abstract : The successful achievement of learning can be helped byusing instructional media. Besides being able to convey information moreeasily, interesting media can motivate students to be more enthusiastic inlearning activities. Audio-visual media is a medium that communicates it’smessage can be received by hearing and sight, for example, the media film,voice slides, animation and computer-based multimedia. This study aims todetermine the increase in motivation, activity and learning outcomes ofstudents in class XI MIA 2 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru using classroom actionresearch conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetingswhich includes four stages of implementation, namely: planning, action,observation, and reflection. Data collection included questionnaire,obervation and tests. The results showed that the percentage of studentsincreased activity and achieving the success criteria. The percentage ofstudent activity in the first cycle of 61.18% with categorized well and thesecond cycle of 82.87% were categorized as excellent. Percentage oflearning outcomes is also seen from mastery learning that enhances andhave achieved success criteria. Motivation of student gained average of59,09 with high motivation criteria. The percentage of mastery learningstudents in the first cycle only reached 76.47%, which has not reached thecriteria of success, while in the second cycle students learning completenesspercentage of 100% has achieved succes criteria. Based on the resultsobtained, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media canenhance the activity and student learning outcomes.Keyword: Media Audio visual, activities, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was develop module based on problem solving in colloid of chemistry in senior high school subject in terms of valid based on the content properness, serve, language, and graphic. The type of this research was research and development (R&D) with development process of 4-D model which include Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. This research was to develop phase. The object of this research was the module based on problem solving. The data analysis technique used for this research done by calculated the percentage of validation value. Instrument of data collection was validation sheet given by three validators. The average score of valuation to four expediency aspect by validator’s team such us content properness, serve, language, and graphic has expediency value continued 92,78%, 93,75%, 98,33%, and 97,50%. Thus, the average score tatality of module based on problem solving in colloid subject is 95,59% which is in valid criteria. Based on results of data analysis can be concluded that module based on problem solving has been valid and can be used in colloid of chemistry in senior high school subject.Key Words: Module, Problem Solving, and Colloid.
