Abstract

Abstrack: The research aims to increase student learning achievement on the subject structure of atoms and the periodic system of elements in class XI science SMAN 1 Pasir Penyu. This research was of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the XI science 3 as the experimental group and XI science 1 class as the control group. In experimental group was applied cooperative learning snowball throwing model, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis data tcount>ttable is 2,7 > 1,67, means that the application of model cooperative learning snowball throwing can improve student achievement on the subject structure of atoms and the periodic system of elements in class XI science SMAN 1 Pasir Penyu by category increase achievement (N-Gain) high at 0.73.Keywords: Learning Achievement, Cooperative snowball throwing, Atomic Structure and Element of the Periodic System.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT Problems of environmental became one of problem must be interested by public, One of them was the stain by ion lead (Pb2+). An experiment was conduct about the use of “Kayu Apu” (Pistia Stratiotes. L) as ion Pb2+ adsorbents before and after added supporting matrix (silica gel). This experiment worked with static method. The parameters were examined carefully: pH (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10), concentrate (10, 25, 50, 75, and 100 ppm), and contacted time (15, 30, 45, 60, and 75 minutes). pH, concentrate, and contacted time optimum for “Kayu Apu” before using supporting matrix (silica gel) successively 6, 50 ppm, 30 minute, with the adsorbtion efficiency: 89.16%. Besides, pH, concentrate, and contacted time optimum after using supporting matrix (silica gel) successively 4, 50 ppm, 45 minute, with the adsorbtion efficiency: 97.47%. Biomaterial of “Kayu Apu” has been given supporting matrix (silica gel) more efficiently than without supporter matrixs for adsorbing ion Pb2+.Keywords: pistia Stratiotes. L, biosorbent, silica gel, Pb2+

Abstract

Abstract : This is a classroom action research. This research is an attempt to improve student learning activities in chemistry and independence on class XI MIA 2 SMA Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru by using learning model auditory intellectually repetition. Student learning activity which is repaired the activity of listening to teacher’s explanation, propose the question, submit answers or opinions, group discussion, and do a task the teacher gives. Student learning independence which is repaired to read the source of the literature independently, dare to express opinions, do their own evaluation and be unyielding in completing the evaluation. This research consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings that went through four stages of implementation: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The collecting data used observation and test. The analysis data was describ with descriptively by using percentage technique. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded the using of learning model auditory intellectually repetition can improve the activity and independence of student learning. It can be seen by the improvement of student’s learning activity from 52,5% at the first cycle to 70% at the second cycle, and learning independences from 51,25% at the first cycle to 64,87% at the second cycle.Keyword : Learning model auditory intellectually repetition, activities, learning independence

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning models talking chips type on the subject of Reaction Rate in class XI MIPA SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The form of this study uses the Pretest-Postest Design Randomized Control Group. The sample consisted of class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 2 as the control class which was randomly selected after the normality test and homogeneity test. The experimental class is a class that applies the cooperative learning model of talking chips. The data analysis technique uses test techniques. Testing the hypothesis using the T test with a = 0.05 obtained by Tcount > Ttable (1.89 >1.66). Based on hypothesis testing it was concluded that the application of cooperative learning models talking chips type can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of reaction rate in class XI MIPA SMAN 4 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Cooperatve Learning Models Type Talking Chips, Learning Outcomes, Reaction Rate

Abstract

Lecturing activities in the campus should be in the form of student-centeredlearning, in which lecturers as the educators have a role to facilitate the learning activities tobe optimally running. However, the low activity of students has an impact on the learningoutcomes. One of the efforts to improve the students’ activities in learning is byimplementing the task presentation with the numbered-head system. Through this activity, itis expected that the students’ activity in the classroom would significantly improve andwould impact the learning out comes. This research has been applied in two cycles on theeven semester of 2010/2011 in the class of B2 (Non-Regular) Chemistry EducationDepartment. The result of the research showed that there was a significant improvement onstudents’ activities from 68,9 % in the cycle 1 up to 70,3 % in the cycle 2. The impact onstudents’ learning outcomes was also increased, from the average of 46,20 up to 66,47. Thestudents were in the perception of strongly agree (3,34) on the treatment given, therefore, theefforts on improving students’ learning activities and learning outcomes could be achieved.

Abstract

The development of research aimed at developing Contextual-based Student Worksheet valid, practical, and effective for learning chemistry inorganic. The method used is development research (development research). The research was conducted in six months and consists of four stages, namely the definition phase (define), the design (design), development (develop), pendesiminasian (desseminate). New research to the development stage. The research data were collected through evaluation sheets filled in by the validator. The results showed that the Student Worksheet based Contextual of learning material developed for the reduction of oxidation, elements and complex compounds have valid criteria in terms of format, technical and content.Keywords: Development, student Worksheet, contextual, Inorganic chemistry

Abstract

The research aims to develop devices integrated learning Malay culture in the form of RPP, LKPD and evaluation tools to improve character education learners. This type of research is the development of research (research and the development) with the procedural model. Research has been conducted in the development of chemistry teaching lab FKIP Riau University from June to November 2016. The prototype learning device generated through research is Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) consisting of 4x meeting, Activity Sheet Students (LKPD) for 4x meetings and 1 set of tools evaluation. Product prototype learning device has been evaluated by 3 validator. Data collected through questionnaires and observation techniques. The data analysis technique is a descriptive quantitative by calculating the percentage of the value of the validation. The average score ratings seventh aspect of the RPP is 95.95% with a valid category. The average score of the four aspects of the feasibility assessment LKPD is 95.95% with a valid category. The average score of all fifth aspects of the feasibility assessment evaluation tool was 94.58% with a valid category. While the percentage of learners response to LKPD is 97.36% which is at the criteria very well.

Abstract

This study was conducted in an effort to improve learning outcomes and learning motivation. The population in this study were students of Chemistry Education, University of Riau. The Samples of this research is fifth semester students. Class experiments using problem-based e-learning model, while the control class using classical learning. To test research hypothesis on difference learning motivation and improved learning outcomes using independent sample T-test SPSS-20. To Test research hypothesis on Correlations between students motivation in learning and learning outcomes using Correlations SPSS-20. The result showed that : 1) there was a significant difference in motivation and learning outcomes of students who are taught using a problem-based e-learning model, than students who are taught using classical learning; 2) there was no correlation learning motivation and learning outcomes of students who are taught by classical learning; 3) there was correlation between motivation to learn the results of student learning is taught by Problem-Based E-Learning Model.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop and produce Student Worksheet Based REACT on the subject of Hydrocarbon in Class XI SMA which are valid and got positive response from Student Worksheet users. This development research used a 4-D model that has 4 stages, namely, Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate, but the research only reached the Develop stage. To produce a valid Student Worksheet, the Student Worksheet validity test is carried out which includes five aspects of assessment, namely aspects of content feasibility, aspects of REACT characteristics, linguistic aspects, aspects of presentation and graphic aspects. To know the response of Student Worksheet users, limited trial were conducted at SMAN 4 Pekanbaru and SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. The results of the study that have been validated by 3 validators state that the percentage is 92.33%. The results of the test questionnaire response to the Student Worksheet based on REACT with 30 students were 93% and the results of the responses from 2 chemistry teachers were 92.86%. Based on the principle of validation and limited testing, Student Worksheet Based on REACT in Hydrocarbon of Chemistry in Senior High School at Class XI the was declared valid and get positive responses from Student Worksheet user.Key Words: Student Worksheet, REACT, Hydrocarbon, 4-D Model
