Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to develop the representative material of Islamic education management. The teaching materials using education management theories and thinking were enriched with articles using Mendeley reference management. Modified research and development designs method were used. Data were collected using a Google form. The population and sample were Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) IAIN Pontianak students of the academic year 2020/2021. Findings reported that teaching materials developed from online journals have a high level of usefulness and are easy to use. The students can get the latest references published in online journals, making it easier to understand and learn about the course topic. This study suggests that lecturers and students use Mendeley to look for references and write scientific papers.Keywords: Islamic education management, teaching material, scientific journal, mendeley. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi representatif manajemen pendidikan Islam. Materi ajar yang menggunakan teori dan pemikiran manajemen pendidikan diperkaya dengan artikel dengan menggunakan referensi manajemen Mendeley. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang dimodifikasi digunakan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan google form, populasi dan sampel dari mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtiadiyah (PGMI) IAIN Pontianak tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil penelitian dilaporkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dari jurnal online memiliki tingkat kegunaan yang tinggi dan mudah digunakan. Mahasiswa dapat memperoleh referensi terbaru yang telah dipublikasikan di jurnal online, sehingga lebih mudah dipahami dan mudah dipelajari sesuai dengan topik mata kuliah. Penelitian ini menyarankan dosen dan mahasiswa menggunakan Mendeley untuk mencari referensi dan menulis karya ilmiah.Kata kunci: manajemen pendidikan Islam, bahan ajar, jurnal ilmiah, mendeley.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the performance of teachers who have been certified and those who have yet to be in professional teacher certification programs in Jombang Regency East Java Province. The type of research is quantitative. Data were collected using questionnaires and a Likert scale with 5 answer choices. Data analysis was performed using a t-test for independent samples using SPSS. The respondent comprised 370 teachers, including 185 professional and 185 non-professional certified teachers. The findings revealed a difference in performance between certified and non-certified teachers. Teachers who have been certified perform better than teachers who have not. Based on the present study's findings, it is suggested that the government maintain teacher certification, with continuous improvement and innovation for better development. This research has implications for the government that teacher certification programs and policies are still worth for continuing, although they need to be enriched with innovation and creativity, technological developments, stakeholder needs, and strengthening religious culture.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine learning outcomes and discuss the effect of the combination of memorization and small group discussion methods on students’ achievement and communication skills. A quantitative method was applied in this study with a quasi-experimental design. The subject of this study is 60 students in Islamic Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FTIK) at the Pontianak State Institute for Islamic Studies, divided into a control and an experimental group. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test from the control and experimental groups and then analyzed using the independent samples t-test using statistical software JASP version 0.16.4. The findings revealed that there are differences between outcome learning and communication skills between the control group which only uses the small group discussion method and the experimental group which employs a combination of memorization and small group discussion methods in the course of developing Islamic Education material. The findings of this study confirm that combining the two methods, memorization, and small group discussion, is highly effective in improving learning achievement and communication skills at the student level. Further research is suggested to explore and determine other factors affecting learning outcomes and methods.
