Abstract

Antioxidant compounds are able to dampen free radicals by donating electrons to pair with free radicals and become harmless to the body. One of the plants that can be used as an antioxidant is candlenut. Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd.) Candlenut is a plant that has many benefits. Chemical content contained in candlenut seeds is such as flavonoids have the ability as antioxidants. This research aims to determine the roasting temperature of yield and inhibition percentage of DPPH radical reduction (1,1-diphenyl-2-picylhydrazyl) contained in candlenut oil using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. The variations in roasting temperature used were 30, 70, 75, 80, 85, and 90˚C. The yield obtained from the extraction was 42,12 %, 38,47 %, 36,44%, 32,58 %, 31,06 %, and 25,38 % which indicated that the higher the roasting temperature the lower the yield obtained. While the percentage of DPPH radical reduction showed a value of 24,689±0,23%; 27,399±0,02%; 38,464±0,01%; 44,562±0,04%; 37,222±0,03% and 22,657±0,03% which shows that 80°C is the best temperature to produce the biggest DPPH radical scavenging.

Abstract

Candlenut is one of the industrial plant commodities that can be extracted so that the candlenut seeds produce oil with levels of 55-65% of the weight of the seeds. The main components of candlenut oil are saturated and unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid which are antioxindants. This study aims to determine the effect of the time factor of using the microwave on the yield of candlenut oil and its antioxidant activity. This research method uses a microwave power intensity of 100 watts with a variation of the microwave time for 60, 90 and 120 seconds. Determination of the antioxidant activity of candlenut oil using reagents 2,2diphenyl-1-picrihydrazil or DPPH. The results of this study indicate that there is an antioxidant activity in candlenut oil given microwave pre-treatment. The results of the antioxidant activity of the candlenut seed extract which were pre-treated with microwave 60, 90, and 120 seconds with IC50 values ​​were 979489.985 g/ml, respectively; 1241,652 g/ml; and 70.307 g/ml. While the yield is 49,75%; 55,7%; and 48,47% which indicates there is a decrease in the yield of thirtd sample. The yield is influenced by the lenght of micorwave irradiation, seed condition, power intensity and oil press. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an effect of microwaves on the antioxidant activity of candlenut oil.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas isu tentang permasalahan ketenagakerjaan bagi Tenaga Kefarmasian terkait dengan hak dan kepuasan. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hak yang diberikan oleh pemilik usaha kefarmasian kepada pegawai farmasi serta korelasinya terhadap tingkat kepuasan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskripif kuantitatif, Observasi yang dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Dengan melalui teknik pengambilan data purposive sampling  yaitu kriteria yang telah dipilih oleh peneliti dalam memilih sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Gambaran hak yang di dapatkan responden dalam penelitian ini adalah : 45% masih di bawah UMK Kota Tegal, 26% tidak melakukan perjanjian kerja secara tertulis, 19% tidak mendapatkan jaminan kesehatan, kesejahteraan (16% tidak mendapatkan libur/cuti, 33% tidak mendapatkan THR dan 59% tidak mendapatkan tunjangan profesi) dan Hasil analisis menyatakan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara hak dan tingkat kepuasan pada hak atas upah/gaji, hak perlindungan hukum, hak jaminan kesehatan, hak kesejahteraan (Hak THR dan hak libur/cuti) namun terdapat hubungan yang yang signifikan antara hak tunjangan profesi dan tingkat kepuasan.

Abstract

Herba pegagan (Centella aciatica (L) Urban) merupakan salah satu jenis herba yang memiliki manfaat yang sangat luas dan beragam. Herba ini mengandung senyawa bioaktif yaitu flavonoid, tanin dan fenolik. Tujuan Penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dari pelarut mana yang paling besar mengandung kadar total fenol. Herba pegagan diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96% dengan perbandingan 1:3 yang dilakukan selama 3×24 jam. Ekstrak yang diperoleh kemudian di ekstraksi menggunakan metode fraksinasi bertingkat dengan pelarut non polar (n-heksan), pelarut semi polar (etil asetat), dan pelarut polar (air). Hasil ekstraksi kemudian dilakukan identifikasi ekstrak dengan uji kualitatif yaitu uji warna dan untuk penentuan kadar fenol total menggunakan spektrofotometri Uv-vis menggunakan reagen Folin-Ciocalteau dimana hasilnya dinyatakan dalam ekuivalen Gallic Acid Equivalent (mg GAE/100 gram). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari ketiga fraksi menunjukkan fraksi etil asetat memiliki kandungan fenol sebesar 10,73 mg GAE/g, fraksi n-heksan sebesar 2,03 mg GAE/g  dan fraksi air paling rendah kadar fenolnya yaitu sebesar 0,53 mg GAE/g. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fraksi etil asetat memiliki kadar fenol yang paling besar dibandingkan dengan fraksi lainnya.

Abstract

Eyeliner is a cosmetic that is often used by women, where eyeliner is an example of decorative makeup cosmetics that function to beautify and confirm the shape of the eyes. To develop eyeliner products, the important ingredients used are carbon and binder. The purpose of this study is to find out that carbon from coconut shell charcoal can be used as cosmetic eyeliner products with different binding materials and to find out formulas with binders that provide physical properties. best on eyeliner preparations from coconut shell charcoal. This study uses a laboratory experimental method that is by mixing carbomer binder, MC and a combination of both, 96% ethanol, paraben metal, aquadest, and adding activated carbon in it. The properties of the dosage were tested, namely homogeneity test, pH test, topical test, irritation test on voluntary skin, and test of preference for eyeliner preparations. The results showed that coconut shell charcoal can be used in eyeliner preparations and the formula which has the most preferred physical properties test is formula III with a carbomer and MC combination binder with a concentration of 1% eachKeywords: eyeliner, carbomer, MC, combination, physical properties test
